When she says that the game starts before they even go into the house, why do I get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach that one of the houseguests won't be allowed in? They'll probably have to vote right there on the spot which of them doesn't get to go in... If that's the case, color me severely annoyed. Didn't Big Brother: Australia do that this past season with Terri? They all had to hang out in the backyard and couldn't enter the house until they'd decided which of them would be leaving the game before they even entered? Ugh, I just hate the idea of losing someone so quickly, but that'd go hand-in-hand with the Wednesday preview saying that "another" houseguest is evicted. |

YAY! *does happy dance* You know what the premise of the show is, right? It's essentially a group of strangers who move into a house and are completely cut off from the outside world. No televisions, no telephones, no internet, no books, no newspapers or magazines. Complete isolation. Each week they participate in a "Head of Household" competition. Whoever wins HoH then nominates two of their fellow houseguests for eviction. From there, everyone votes live (each Wednesday, during the live eviction show) to evict one of the two nominees. The last man standing at the end wins $500,000. Lots of drama, backstabbing and strategy. It's good shit! :) And just to whet your appetite, here's a lovely montage of the last season. Well, for Big Brother: Australia, they did give a little power to the first evictee by letting her choose which houseguest would have to live in the backyard for the entire season, LoL. Which was kind of cruel, but an awesome twist. I just feel like with thirteen houseguests, we're already one short. We don't need to be kicked down to 12 on the first night. |

For anyone who doesn't want to listen to the entire interview, here are direct quote from Grodner... WeLoveBigBrother While the houseguests may not be in the house yet, Grodner said the work is well underway. "We're getting closer and closer to the big move in day," she said. "We've got the house still getting fixed. I'm watching it right now as we've got a cleaning crew in there right now and we're making it all nice and pretty for the group." Grodner revealed when this group of 13 moves in, they will be complete strangers. "As far as the cast is concerned," she said, "rest assured they are all strangers." They also will be diverse in their backgrounds, points of view and ages. "We have a wide range of ages this year," she said. "There's young, there's old, there's in between, there's parents, there's students, there's people with white collar jobs, blue collar jobs. It's all very different. We've got a lot of very specific types of people in this house, and people who have very extreme points of view than maybe we've had in the past." She said the house will also reflect this diversity. "This year [the house] reflects the cast in all the different places and eras they come from," she said. "It's a very different house, it's not our winter house. This is a very different thing and it goes with the cast." Grodner also confirmed live audiences will return to the show in a different way, as producers wanted to carefully include some successful elements from the show's past. "[We wanted to take] the original concept of the show of strangers moving into a house - with diverse points of view, coming from all places, all different ages, all different walks of life - and try to put that back into play for this special Big Brother 10 season," she said. Don't forget about the twist! Grodner explained it will play out from day one. "The game starts before these people even enter the house," she hinted. "Expect the unexpected.
