LOL - Ok, my guess is that they'll fire her right before the Olympics. Maybe they'll hope the news sort of gets lost in the shuffle.

I know you fine people are discussing DAYS but concerning ATWT .......
CHRIS GOUTMAN NEEDS TO BE FIRED!
Along with Jean Passanante,Leah Laiman and Courtney Simon!!!!
Susan Dansby needs to be named Co-HW with a good HW.
Richard Culliton and Leslie Nipkow,who have been released should be asked to stay.
Good former writers like Melissa Salmons,Penelope Koechl and Stephanie Braxton should be rehired.
THEY ARE KILLING MY SHOW!!!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent.
I will get off my :soapbox:
I feel a little better!

I give it a couple of weeks. If we don't see one by the end of August, I'll be stunned.

||Ooh, yes, I haven't even gotten to ATWT. No doubt its new low is deserved considering how terrible the show has become.|

||I know we should not put all the blame on one ship, but wasn't last week very Chan heavy? I am willing to use all 10 of my fingers and place blame on them.|

||I see at least 3 shows getting the ax by this time next year|
|Dayzfan||Jul 11 2008, 03:55 PM Post #50|
I don't think its fair to lay the blame squarely on Chan.Theres been enough boring crap on Days lately to drive a whole lot of viewers away.I'm willing to bet the elevator sex turned off alot of viewers
|Charmqn||Jul 11 2008, 03:59 PM Post #51|
||I turned in to see EJ and Nicole...Lucas and Chole-yeah, not so much. Stop fucking with the viewers Dena-your alienating all your fans, or what's left of them.|
|Ellie||Jul 11 2008, 04:11 PM Post #52|
Yep. Hard to believe.
|Ellie||Jul 11 2008, 04:11 PM Post #53|
Regarding Days, last week, Days had a 1.1 in the 18-49 and that was "ties low", so the 1.0 this week would've been a new low if it had been counted.
|Steve Frame||Jul 11 2008, 04:19 PM Post #54|
James, I have seen on several boards already that the Gay Pride episode is being blamed for ATWT's big drop.
Of course the lower ratings will let TPTB think so and I am sure we will see no more of things like that.
They just don't realize that it is the stories that is killing the shows. Along wtih the stupid decisions these shows continually make backstage.

These Numbers are just crazy
Passions last few month on the air is doing better than all soaps in 18-34 & 12-17 and that was Passions series lows!
There is no way these soaps can stay on the air with these numbers. Hell, Passions was the cheapest soap to produce and it was cancelled while still getting a 1.7 in HH, 1.3 in 18-49, and 2.3 million viewers.
18-49 Viewers (Higher that three current soaps)
PSNS 698,000 (Final Few Months Average)
5. B&B 679,000 (-99,000/-102,000)
6. GL 574,000 (+10,000/-140,000)
7. ATWT 542,000 (-98,000/-144,000)
Women 18-49 Rating(Higher that three current)
PSNS 1.1/7 (Final Few Months Average)
4. AMC 1.1/7 (-.1/-.2)
5. B&B 1.0/7 (-.2/-.2) <--------- ties low rating
6. GL 0.9/6 (same/-.2) <--------- ties low rating
7. ATWT 0.8/5 (-.2/-.2) <-------- new low rating
Women 18-34 (Higher than every soap currently on air)
PSNS 1.2/7(Final Few Months Average)
1. GH 1.0/6 (-.2/same)
2. Y&R 0.9/6 (+.1/-.2)
3. OLTL 0.8/5 (-.2/same)
4. AMC 0.7/4 (-.1/-.2)
5. B&B 0.6/4 (-.1/-.1)
6. ATWT 0.4/2 (-.2/-.3)
7. GL 0.3/2 (-.1/-.4)
Girls 12-17 Viewers (Higher than every soap currently on air)
PSNS 78,000 (Final Few Months Average)
1. OLTL 67,000 (+1,000/+28,000)
2. Y&R 65,000 (+14,000/-31,000)
3. B&B 57,000 (+31,000/+3,000)
4. ATWT 56,000 (+12,000/+10,000)
5. AMC 51,000 (+11,000/+23,000)
6. GH 48,000 (+6,000/same)
7. GL 32,000 (+5,000/-3,000)

I really do think they will slowly be canceled one by one.
I think ATWT and GL might even of the air together.

The average HH rating between Y&R and B&B is the number Passions debuted to in 1999.
Passions was the last new soap to be created, and it appears its cancellation has opened the floodgates for more cancellation. Interesting how JER managed to create an apocalypse both in Harmony and in the soap industry!
On the plus side (for me), these ratings may indicate JER's return to soaps!
|Mason||Jul 11 2008, 04:47 PM Post #59|
If that happens, then soaps might as well just be canceled now.
|King||Jul 11 2008, 04:47 PM Post #60|
Which shows, Steve?
ATWT, GL, DAYS?
