Talked to the right person at the right moment.
No kidding! You had the news the second it happened. Glad to hear everyone is okay.
Happy Birthday, Bryan! I forgot his birthday was the day before mine!

Yes, and also glad to hear that the cast and crew still seem like they love each other. They are a big family and I hope that they pull through this and still enjoy what they do. I hope that we are making a big deal out of nothing.

Well, on the Dena thing......after reading all this and sorting it through, here's my take on it (for whatever it's worth): I think it's blown out of proportion. I see Dena acting like one of my students who got in trouble. Elementary troublemakers are good at this. They get caught at something, but then, when they're in the principal's office, they say "But do you know what HE did?"
I think I agree with the posters who are saying that Dena's trying to divert attention away from her strike shenanigans. I also think WGA might be throwing her a bone by agreeing to slap the naughty writing stealers' wrists, although I tend to think it's probably a more prevalent practice than others would like to admit.
Finally, again, I hope that the folks at the studio (whoever might be pissed off) will put things in perspective after they have sung happy birthday to one of their actors while being evacuated after an earthquake. Makes this silly writing bickering seem rather petty, doesn't it?

Show is not on in LA, we are getting news. Looks like everybody is OK. But all buildings in the area are being inspected. Local schools in session have cancelled classes. Epicenter was 2 miles SW of Chino Hills, which is east of Los Angeles.

Just to reiterate, there is less than a 5% chance that this is a fore shock and after 24 hours, it drops to 1%. There will be aftershocks for a while, but they should get smaller over time. (This from the USGS, Dr. Kate Hutton).

Relax, Californians are used to this sort of thing -- it just gets us buzzed!

Well, that's wonderful. That symbolizes what we all came to expect from the Days set. They have always seemed so close-knit, which is why all of this was shocking.

It makes you wonder if this all came out to be bigger then it actually was. I'm not saying none of it happened but maybe it wasn't quite as serious and malicious.

I just hope Nelson posts soon and that all of this calms down. I want the show to emerge from this stronger and with more cohesion and direction.

Don't know if this was posted already, but SOD confirmed Dena Higley is still at DAYS...

Higley Out At DAYS?
Not according to the show. Online reports of Dena Higley quitting after a blowup with Co-Executive Producer Ed Scott appear to be untrue. The show had no official comment, but Digest has learned that Higley is still in her Head Writing post. "It's business as usual," reports a setsider.

I"m not surprised that they are saying she's still there. You know, she just could have stormed off in a huff and thought the better of it.

I wouldn't expect SOD to say if she was anyway. They want to protect Days because they don't want to lose access to spoilers and such. They will likely not touch anything like this. They always shy away from stuff like this unless it's something straightforward or a setsider says something.

That could be as of right now. Who knows if she's even come to the studio in the last few days after quitting.

Not buying it yet. It doesn't even sound like SOD addressed the issue. This was more then just a blowup.

Oh, and another note, Passions ended their episode today with an earthquake and LA had an earthquake. It's always weird how stuff like that happens.

Its the kid who ratted someone else out to cover his own ass that you have to watch out for. In this case they also need to watch out for whoever leaked the story because clearly they thought there was something to gain by doing that.

Maybe Ken Corday won, the speculation did say he was fighting to keep her there.

Oh, I know, LOL. I usually say, " I don't CARE what so-and-so did. I caught YOU!" Or the principal says something similar. :P

Kinda like how when Timmy died so did his real life portrayer on the same day. :'(

Not really that confusing. It's either this whole thing was a rumor, was Dena's way of trying to get attention, or Ken won her back and is covering his poor management ass. IF she really is out, it'll come out. They can post a statement while they try to spin damage control.
Or, it could be someone trying to stir shit. Right now, suddenly, it's getting as exciting as one of the Days episodes....................

Also, I really don't think SOD would report on this right away if things were still too premature regarding Higley. My guess is Corday seized power over his own show, reinstated Dena, and neutered Ed Scott's and that BIG LOSER'S power on set and in the writing of the show.

Welll somebody has been making it into a big thing because Nelson was clearly upset and the WGA has been called in.

I think there are a lot of agendas at work here.

I still have my doubts as to how much Ed Scott and the actress in question really wrote and broke any rules.
