Well happy birthday to you, too. Why thank you! Count yourself special as you are the first person who wished it to me this year! Too bad that both Bryan and I have to work on our birthdays. Hope I don't get an earthquake on mine! ;)

Also, I really don't think SOD would report on this right away if things were still too premature regarding Higley. My guess is Corday seized power over his own show, reinstated Dena, and neutered Ed Scott's and that BIG LOSER'S power on set and in the writing of the show. well if thats true then i am glad that corday has regained "control" but then again what will that mean...this is corday :blah: he has said many things not all of which have been true...all i really wanna know is if its true about the "diva" is that true, was it really her???

Well, on the Dena thing......after reading all this and sorting it through, here's my take on it (for whatever it's worth): I think it's blown out of proportion. I see Dena acting like one of my students who got in trouble. Elementary troublemakers are good at this. They get caught at something, but then, when they're in the principal's office, they say "But do you know what HE did?" I think I agree with the posters who are saying that Dena's trying to divert attention away from her strike shenanigans. I also think WGA might be throwing her a bone by agreeing to slap the naughty writing stealers' wrists, although I tend to think it's probably a more prevalent practice than others would like to admit. Finally, again, I hope that the folks at the studio (whoever might be pissed off) will put things in perspective after they have sung happy birthday to one of their actors while being evacuated after an earthquake. Makes this silly writing bickering seem rather petty, doesn't it? I was sort of thinking the same thing. It is just like the fifth graders I teach and you question them about something you saw them do and all of a sudden it is "Yeah, but So-And-So did it first". Have to wonder if this was her way to take some heat off of her. Who really knows? I would like to see the proof. Do they have a picture of Ed and the "diva" sitting over the script with a big red pen making all of the changes? And when was all of this happening and that she is now just reporting it to the WGA.
The more I read and think about it, I just have to wonder. I don't know who the villian is and who the victim is. I am very interested to hear Ed's side to all of this. Not saying he is right, but right now all we have does seem a bit one sided and I would like to just hear the other side to try and defend themselves.

Oh, and another note, Passions ended their episode today with an earthquake and LA had an earthquake. It's always weird how stuff like that happens.

You know, we might never find out, and in the grand scheme of things, is it really that important? If we found out every little slightly unethical thing folks did in show business, we'd be disappointed in them all. Balance this against a lot of the positive things this person did, and it is probably minor. I could be wrong, but we could debate this til the cows come home, and it won't matter. I sincerely doubt, unless this actress chooses to address it herself, it'll ever come out. Course, I'm still in the camp that the actress and Ed Scott got fed up and decided to weigh the ethics against the possible demise of the show and came out on the side of throwing caution to the wind and going for it. I mentioned earlier that between two extremes lies the truth. I think that applies here.

Don't know if this was posted already, but SOD confirmed Dena Higley is still at DAYS... Snark posted this link at SON: http://www.soapoperadigest.com/news/breaking/- Quote:

Higley Out At DAYS? Not according to the show. Online reports of Dena Higley quitting after a blowup with Co-Executive Producer Ed Scott appear to be untrue. The show had no official comment, but Digest has learned that Higley is still in her Head Writing post. "It's business as usual," reports a setsider.
Not really. If there was nothing to it and all is fine, then why wouldn't Days have an official comment?
Business as usual from a "setsider"? Means they are working and taping a show today, as usual.
And SOD is worthless, as usual :hmmph:

If you're a fan of the actress, continue to enjoy her work and don't worry about the rumors.

If she was still the HW and this was all just a rumor I can't imagine they wouldn't officially comment that she was still the HW. Like others have said, she may have stormed out and now be thinking better of it and never officially lost her position. And that was the main thing I wanted to know, whether she was really gone!

Dena could very well have walked out and Corday smoothed her feathers and brought her back. And after the cease and desist letter came down from the WGA, Ed Scott and the Diva were told to knock it off and now things appear to be "business as usual."
Either way, I agree that the Diva will probably never be officially revealed.

The excitement about the juiciness of it all is starting to die down for me, and I'm looking at it more like, maybe some actors were more than a little sick of character destruction and were ready to grab the reigns a bit. Can't say I would totally blame them.

They evacuated the studio for a bit but they were able to go back in
Sheesh, how do you know this stuff?
Talked to the right person at the right moment. Damn. This'll be a week they'll never forget at Days, LoL.

So by SOD saying that it's "business as usual," they mean that Corday's still an idiot and whatever troubles were plaguing the show before still plague them today?
Good to know. *rolls eyes*
