When he says it's a sad, sad world for daytime - sad for US or sad for him? It's hard to say but for the most part, Nelson pretty much reads our minds.
That is what I'm wondering about. For me, it came off like no hope for daytime as a whole. That, to me, could mean that Days perhaps stole Griffith (who was rumored to be on the outs soon enough anyway) from Y&R and Nelson may look at that as another hack coming to Days and TPTB not learning their lesson about recycling the same people over and over. That was my initial reaction to reading that.

I mean, he said something ugly is going on and if it's as simply as Ed Scott being fired, sure that is ugly for Days but not for both Days and Y&R and he said this involves them. Even if Ed returns to Y&R, is that on par with ugly? Ugly to me means backstabbing or backstage dealings, which to me means Days stole someone from Y&R. That's just my logic.

OMFG, if Corday fired Ed Scott just to make Higley happy, I absolutely REFUSE to watch the show until she's gone! That woman is a soap writing abomination! There has to be something going on between Corday/Higley -- as in, under the sheets. There's no other explanation as to why he's constantly fucking his parents show over just to make that talentless hack happy.

Meanwhile, if Higley's gone... maybe this means Martha Madison will be allowed to return? Maybe? *crosses fingers* I still haven't forgiven Higley for that mistake.
If Scott is gone then who is going to do all of Corday's dirty work like firing people. Oh wait, Corday can send emails.

If Higley is gone, you can bet that Scott is going after Madison and refocus on Phelle. He was completely behind that pairing

Obviously some huge nasty shit went down and it involves Days and Y&R - both Sony shows. I think Corday is going to pick-slip anyone that clashes with his vision (laughable as it may be) of the show.

I still can't believe that Corday allowed Higley to write off Shawn and Belle but I honestly think that Corday was hoping to get Storms and Cook back, although I've never read anything to confirm that. Just my spec.
Yep. Cook even mentioned it, if I recall.

This is just something I heard but I heard that Corday thought people became down on Shelle because Martha and Brandon looked too old and weren't sexy enough. When I heard that, I pretty much was ready to grab my computer screen and toss the shit out the windown. Not sure if I buy that but I could see the dumbass thinking something like that.

As much as I love Philip/Morgan, I wouldn't mind that.

God, how I wish Sony would step in and tell Corday to STFU and let Ed Scott run this show.

No Corday can just give them a phone call over the holidays like he did with Julie Pinson.

If anybody is looking for a hero in this story, you're not going to find one. Everybody just looks bad. It's sleazy, dirtbag, showbiz politics, and nobody... I mean NOBODY... is in the right. That's what's heartbreaking.

^I liked Sheri. I really did. Her second run with JER was really good. Much better then her first IMO, which was what I grew up on. I just don't think her as sole HW will work. She needs a co-HW that can mix it up. Sheri on her own will just be one romantic adventure after another. That is why fanbases like her. However, they don't realize that Sheri may do to their couples what she did to others (Doug and Julie) in the 80's and that is backburner them to start anew with young, fresh couples.
If I could see your feet, I'd kiss them..... :P
OK, well, maybe not. But I will bow to you. :hail:

I think Ed leaving Days would be bad for all of Daytime because it would really be the beginning of the end...Maybe it pushes CBS to finally cancel GL and it could start a whole domino affect..Dear god dont' let this be Ed leaving. He was my only hope with this embarassing show.

I'm not very familiar with Griffith. Why is he considered a hack?

I don't think Josh Griffith is that bad at all, from what little I've seen from him. I'm not sure if he'd fit at DAYS, but I wouldn't consider him a hack.

Make Sheri a creative consultant to the program. Don't give her the writing reins, but do check with her on how certain stories played out in the 1980s and 1990s. That way we won't get things like Stefano stealing Patch (Oh, sweetheart! Rewrite, please!)

And I don't have a problem with that. A tormented Philip/Belle love story will fit in great with the dock story and the John/Kirakis wars. I've been saying for a while now that it was dumb not to have Belle back and be in the middle of a conflict between her lover and her "in body only" father.

Nelson posted this at Goldderby... what does this mean??

"This DAYS story is going to break your hearts. It's a sad, sad, world in daytime. There's NO hope."

Okay, THAT doesn't sound good at all.
Sounds like Days is not going to be renewed.
