I wonder if Ed Scott was the producer that the young lady was sleeping with... lol
Um... what?I obviously haven't been paying enough attention to soap gossip lately, LoL. What's this all about?
It was reported a while ago by Blind Item - Someone from an NBC soap was sleeping with a producer and this person has been getting a lot of air time.
Oh Rake don't forget...The actress the producer was sleeping with was also a coke-head and hated by the rest of the DOOLS cast. ;) Oh yeah. I still think its RM for some reason...

Oh, that's right. I remember that. Everyone was speculating that it was Rachel Melvin, Nadia Bjorlin, Arianne Zuker or Kristen Renton, right? Yeah, that one.

I know. It's been awhile since we had a long-ass Days thread. We haven't had one since the Lauren Koslow thread I believe. Days is the only soap that can have these sort of threads it seems because the backstage stuff is always controversial LOL.
There's nothing on TV tonight so I'm game for an all nighter  .
On a side note, maybe we will need Kenny, our official Days rep, to make some phone calls like he did during the Martha Madison and Lauren Koslow situations  .

Has anyone mentioned how hysterical it is that Ken Corday was on vacation when all of this allegedly went down? I mean, shit. The show's going down the tubes and that man finds it the appropriate time to just take off on vacation? I'd be more worried about trying to keep the show afloat than laying on a beach somewhere, personally. Especially if it was my parents creation.

It also appears that people are hinting at the idea of a "good guy" (Ed Scott?) possibly doing something that's unsavory to his/her character. Brimike has made two comments now about how "it's going to make us think twice about people that we think have integrity."
The only person at Days that I think has integrity is Ed Scott, so my natural reaction is to assume that he's the one in question. Did he do something immoral to push Higley into quitting? Because if he did, I'll gladly cheer and petition to get him a raise.
LOL, I'm sure Nelson knows no DAYS fan would give a crap how Higley was removed. This is a woman who got the job in the most unethical circumstances imaginable. I can think of 3 things that would be genuinely "heartbreaking" for the majority of DAYS fans. 1) Higley keeps her job at Scott's expense 2) JER returns 3) DAYS is cancelled He mentioned it was heartbreaking for all soaps fans, not just Days fans. He also tied it to Y&R so I'm not quite sure it's only limited to the options you mentioned.

Well, he was on vacation in 2003 when all the firings were going down and JER was taking over. He returned in October just in time to give an interview and explain things but he let Wyman do all the damn dirty work. Corday never seems to be around in these situations.

This is a woman who got the job in the most unethical circumstances imaginable. Very true. Which is why losing her job in a way that involves others doing unethical things to her would be a sort of glorious irony. Heh. :)

Heartbreaking to me as a fan involves either one of these two things: Days being canceled or one of the actors/actresses being involved in this mess. That's why I have a sick feeling about this.

I was on fire with those Koslow/Madison situations. I called at least fifteen different places. NBC, Corday Productions, Sony, fucking Ed Scott's very office! Remember the message that Martha Madison posted on her forum regarding my calls? LoL! "Your voices are being heard, trust me. Especially yours, Kenny!"

Like I said. come tomorrow, if Nelson doesn't fill in the blanks, we may all need to do some detective work and your skills may be needed  .
Although I doubt they would provide anything juicy over the phone but we may get a vague response that helps us out  .

He just said a "sad, sad world in daytime", not that it would be specifically heartbreaking for non-DAYS fans. Yeah but he also tied it to Y&R and he said "there is no hope," which, to me, means that this is bad for all soaps, which I guess means any of your options are valid. I'm just saying I think there is going to be alot to this and it won't be as simple as we think.

Just checked in at SON to see if Toups posted something. This is what he posted:
"This is Nelson's scoop. He can have it. I'm not touching this."
This must be nasty if Toups just wants to stay away from it all together. I recall last year when John was "killed" he kept hinting that there was more to it. He's not even hinting this time. This must be something huge and ugly.

God, I wish someone who knows what the hell is going on would just spill the beans already. All these innuendos are driving me insane!
