Where did all this talk about Deidre going to Y&R come from? LoL
Your sweet little ass, LoL.

I have no clue, actually. I'm just going with it...

The more I think about it, the more I feel feel that Sheffer has some legal obligation to Corday Productions and violated it when he joined Y&R as co head writer!!! Don't most media contracts state that you can't work for a competiter (sp) for six months to a year after leaving the company? Could be wrong but I still think it has to do with Sheffer and the writing department at DAYS!!!
But they're both Sony and Corday properties, so would they really be rival "companies"?

I have a few theories lol.

1st theory: One of the vets is being fired or being made to go to Y&R (My guess would be Deidre but who knows)

2nd theory: Days will go from a one hour show to a half hour show, to save money or whatever.

And that is about all I can come up with lol. The fact that it involes Y&R is stumping me
After going through and reading all 41 pages, I agree with Tammy's 2nd theory that Days will go from a one hour show to a half hour show. I think DAYS would be moving to CBS to air NOON Eastern time before Y&R for 30 minutes.
Well it certainly goes with the NOON thing and connects it to Y&R in a way lmao

Yeah, I REALLY would NOT be happy with this scenario AT ALL! I also think all the other stuff Nelson was hinting at about irony and integrity revolves around Dena "quitting" and Ed Scott having some underhanded involvement in that.

I GOT IT!!

NBC cut DAYS budget so bad that they are going the route of GL.

Handheld cameras, bad lighting, and extreme closeups of actors faces in which you can count the wrinkles and nosehairs.
 *spits water out all over laptop* That would start an actor's revolution I think!!

I might actually be excited for Deidre to go to Y&R. I think she'd kick ass as a bitchy rival for Nikki!
or Ashley....

Short of murder, I don't really care what Ed did (if he did do anything) to rid DAYS of toxic Higley. On the contrary, I'd like to give him a medal!

Didn't Ed Scott give an interview recently in which he actually praised Dena's writing? LoL Er... "praised?"

Yeah, but you could tell he wasn't particularly enthusiastic just based on his wording.

That makes sense.

Also at 30 minutes and half the cast fired, DAYS wouldn't ever be the same again.

I was brushing my teeth and this thought came to mind.

I doubt this is right and definitely hope not, but what if the WGA is cracking down and making Y&R and Days both take back their WGA pre-strike writers.

That would be bad for both shows IMO as Days would get Hogan which it doesn't need with Meg Kelly restored and Y&R would get Latham back.

That would be really bad IMO.
I dunno, the WGA never mentioned Y&R before, only Days and AMC. And the worst case senario I could see from that is they have to bring back LML, but since they dont have to bring her back as an EP, they can just fire her all over again. lol.

DAYS would be royally fucked over if it was reduced to half-hour.

she seems to be bi-soap these days. And B&B has taken her out of their opening.

Eileen Davidson vs Deidre Hall on Y&R ..... think of the possibilities.

I hate thinking so hard this late at night lol. But I keep going back to what Nelson said "I don't think Days will ever recover". What could be so horrible that DAYS couldn't recover... since we know that it's not canceled. I mean tptb change writers more frequently then their underwear, and although it messes things up they usually rebound somewhat. I really don't think it has anything to do with the writers.

I am just... ugh I need to go to bed and bite the bullet and read about it tomorrow lol.

Hence, the comment about Days never recovering and how daytime would never be the same again.
