Jonatha pointed out to me that this rumor was just posted at Coffeerooms:

"You wont find this online yet, but I was just informed that NBC is once again wanting James E. Reilly to return to DAYS, and this is a huge reason as to why Dena Higley walked out. Before leaving for vacation, Corday was said to have met with Jeff Zucker to discuss the terms of the shows renewal, and NBC dropped the bomb about Reilly. Corday objected, but both sides was said to have compromised to a Reilly/Higley co-team. NBC still strongly stands behind Reilly, and the failure of Passions and his last DAYS stint has not changed anything. The only regret NBC has ever expressed was 'overworking' Reilly with two shows, and they attribute that to the shows failures. Expect this new to come out very soon."

Wow. That's not even the scoop of the day, but if it's true, it just adds to the mess. IF it's true.

Higley wrote breakdowns and scripts under Reilly for years. But yeah, I agree with you. They're not really compatible as equals.

I would rather have him back then Sheffer, Langan or Higley.Maybe he will be better if he just writes for one show.

If this is what Nelson has found out, it's not as bad as he made it out to be. He made it sound like judment day.

I think it's fun to speculate - it does not bode well for a show when we get more excited about the behind the set stuff instead of what is on our TV screens. Oh the Drama of it all! Can't wait to read Nelson's scoop! I'm glad that he's got the exclusive and from what I can tell it has not leaked out! Good show Nelson! This should be the lesson to all soaps spoilers' may not work to your advantage - anticipation is worth something!
Hi guys, first time poster here. Gotta say this forum seems awesome from what I've seen so far!

It is fun to speculate. And I love anticipation! I have had more anticipation over this story than I have over any story line on Days for quite some time now ;)

Is it noonish yet? :D

Isn't Ben Silverman the one making the call now? I didn't think Zucker was involved anymore, but I could be wrong. I can't keep them straight these days.

Zucker is still in charge of NBC-Universal, Silverman replaced Kevin Reilly as network head of NBC.

He oversees NBC-Universal and makes decisions on both the television and film side. He's Silverman's boss at NBC.

Exactly. Which leads me to believe this Reilly rumor is off. Corday wouldn't be meeting with Zucker. He'd be meeting with Silverman, and the new guy. (Frank?)
