They better write DOOL like DOOL and NOT Y&R. I cannot get into Y&R.
I would rather have Y&R then Passions any day of the week which is what JER would do especially since PSNS is off the air now.
No writer would write any show like Passions! lol
Thank God for small favors.

I suspect this is a power play by Higley to oust Scott. And since Corday is (allegedly) firmly in her camp, she may well prevail.
I can't imagine Sony would allow Corday to keep Higley and get rid of Scott, but I suppose anything is possible. :scared:
Corday owns the controlling share so any battle of wills between him and Sony (minus NBC interference) always falls in his favour.

OH MY FUCKING GOD, HALLELUJAH!!

:applause: :omg: :applause: :omg: :applause: :omg: :applause: :omg:

When I got on here and read the topic title, I literally jizzed in my pants. Finally this talentless hack does something right!

If Corday finds some way to woo her back, I'll put a hit out on him. He really is stupid enough to do it, you know...

As for Higley's replacement, I honestly don't care who it is. Anyone is better -- and I do mean anyone. I just can't believe she bailed in the middle of her beloved austism bore-y... er, story.

This news has made my week! Thank you, SOAP GODS. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

He truly is a mindless wonder if he lets that happen! I like the fact that Scott takes no shit... and since that is all that Higley has dished out, is SHIT, its no wonder they didn't get along. :P

Anyway, kudos to Dena for stepping down because it takes a lot of courage and with Corday´s support she could probably hold the position atleast for another year. I liked a lot of her ideas and stories on paper and in the spoilers, but for some reason it mostly ended flat on screen. We will see what happens now.
But is she stepping down? Nelson reports it like she just walked out and left them in the lurch. If it's the former, then good for and for NBC. But if it's the latter, that may be why Corday is trying to convince her to stay.

And I want to rejoice I do, but the way this is coming out...I don't know. As bad as things are...they can actually get worse.

Makes you just want to stand up and sing hymns, doesn't it? It's like the answer to almost every DAYS fan's prayer!

Like someone else said, maybe it is a power step by her to get Ed Scott fired. Maybe she thinks that Corday will come begging her to go back with the condition Ed is gone. Again, the behind the scenes stuff is 100 times more interesting that what I see on screen.

Sadly with Days track record it could get worse..If this is a power play to get Ed Scott fired and Corday goes for it then the show is truly doomed. Should be interesting to see how this works out. Why can't the show be this interesting????

Someone suggested that there could be another reason why she is stepping down. Maybe her "not writing" during the strike but really scabbing in her husband's name has all caught up to her and that's what really is pushing this?

Will the person who wrote during the strike, please put in their resume? I will never believe that was Higley as stories were moving, exciting, making sense and all of my characters were acting like themselves!

This is slightly thrilling yet NOT.
It will take forever for Higley's stuff to go away, then new writer will have to come in and get acclimated and learn the characters, and start their style. Goodness knows what we will get.
I guess anything will be an improvement!

They better write DOOL like DOOL and NOT Y&R. I cannot get into Y&R.
if they wrote Days with the same depth and atmosphere Y&R had during the 80s and 90s, it'd be a great match. Dont judge current Y&R as the "Y&R style"(for lack of a better term) cause it's so completely opposite.

It probably won't, but for now, I'm just going to be happy that Higley is gone. I'll cross the next writer bridge when we come to it.
