No wonder why the show makes no sense. It's a free-for-all.

So who should go? Higley? Scott? Both?

Well unless he saved it with the grandma effing... which is the only interesting bit in the whole storyline.

Well this explains alot....ratings were high and the sls were good then ....BOOM....Everything got turned and twisted around and now the show is a complete horror........Sorry, but if they have proof ED did this...then him and his Pet/slut/actress need to be FIRED.

I cannot believe that was the news... LMAO
WOW! So disappointed!
I know, reading that felt like a major anticlimax. Nelson shouldn't have told anything earlier this weekend, either post all of it from the start or wait.

Maybe now all the Ed Scott-lovers will realize that he is not perfect like they make him out to be.

I haven't really hated the show. I fear what Higley could even do if this is Ed Scott. With Scott we at least got vets. Look at Caroline. She's probably been on more than she ever has. Higley would never write for her. Higley barely wrote for Marlena in her first stint. And it also explains why the autism story is on about twice a month and consists of Theo spouting off "one, two, three, four" and then Abe and Lexie angsting about it and then missing in action for two weeks.

I honestly can't think of any of the cast thinking they can re-write a script - who would have the time? Plus it just must be one character and their scenes that are being re-written. Ed Scott must have taken a special liking to a particular character or actress? Any guesses???????

And that's why this is so big.

The fact that they've allowed this to go as far as it did, after the strike and the mess they made of that situation, is appalling. The show is completely in shambles behind the scenes, in the middle of a renegotiation, and Corday's on vacation.

That's just it, this is only one side of the story. If this is accurate, we don't know why it was done. I think WHY is a key element in all of this.

I do think input from the actors is crucial as they know their characters better than most and a lot of characters are so OOC right now it's not even funny, but their job is to act and the writers to write and the producers to produce. However, where does the buck stop in making sure what comes out is QUALITY?

Oh, and I want to thank Nelson for the scoop. I don't want him to feeling I'm bashing him. I just find this really lackluster. I heard a rumor a few weeks ago that rewrites were going on but I didn't think it was related to Ed Scott.

Now the question is what happens now? Does Higley maintain her stance? Does Corday axe Scott, who may not be so favorable anymore to Days or Sony because of what has happened? Do they both go?

I think the fallout may be much more interesting then the actual reveal, just like a soap LOL.

Thank you Nelson!

This explains a whole lot. I'm wondering how long this has been going on.

Wow!

I'm trying to wrap my mind around all this.

I don't understand how this could've happened. Did Corday know and he was just allowing it to happen, or was he kept in the dark about it? What does this mean for Ed Scott? Did he do this behind Corday's back? What does this mean for the actors?

Three Days actors have been writing their own stories and dialogue? Um... what the hell? Is there no order behind-the-scenes at Days anymore or what?! Is it just a cluster fuck free-for-all where rules are not followed and everybody's just flying by the seat of their pants? How the hell could Corday allow this to happen? Is he really that out of touch with his show?

Dena Higley is NOT a good writer, but this wasn't the way to go about fixing the problem. You don't just undermine a person's stories and let the actors write all their own material. I'm also stunned by this news because there are so many Higley trademarks I've been seeing on the screen. She's still had her hands in the mix, IMO. Too much of what I've seen just screams Higley. As much as I love the idea of her being shown the door, this just isn't the way to go about it. There are rules and guidelines that people have to follow, and I can't believe that Ed Scott has given the okay for pretty much everyone to just write their own stuff as they went along. Is that what Days has been reduced to -- improvisational storytelling? They've pretty much told the WGA to kiss their asses, they're going to do whatever the hell they want. Fools, all of them!

How the hell are they going to get out of this mess? They've already had the WGA investigating Higley, and now they've got the WGA investigating pretty much the entire damn show! The legal trouble they could get into for this is pretty massive, and although I'm not familiar with what the price to be paid is for situations like this, I can't imagine it's looking good for the show's money issues.

God.

This is a MESS!

...and we still don't know the status of Higley or if she's being replaced.

Sharongate, bitches!

The Y&R connection much be, as I said in the other thread, that Josh Griffith is doing the same thing to Maria Arena Bell at Y&R, hence why Ed Scott wants Griffith to join DAYS, and Griffith has more experience in writing.

The Bell's, Sony, and definitely Barbara Bloom have been wanting Griffith gone FOR A LONG TIME NOW. I can finally see their reasons.

Kenny, you hit every nail on the head. It doesn't sound like a big deal after all of our speculations over the weekend, but it truly means a lot of trouble down the road on every level.

My only question is when Higley felt her show was hijacked. Because some bad stuff has gone down in Higley's reign but some good stuff too... The talk recently between Sami and EJ good stuff for the EJ character. The Bo/Phil stuff good stuff. Steve and Kayla finally talking about black friday good stuff. Looking forward to the Bope payoff moment coming up and the Spoilers for the week before the olympics are the first ones in forever that have made me really really stoked to see the show and for characters that I previously wasn't all that interested in.

For while I thought he was banging KR/Morgan...But now I am wondering if its Ari....Nicole is suddenly in everything...She is now a main player and before when Higley wrote for her she was just a side added character for angst....It all makes you go hmmmm.....I wish Nelson would tell us who the actress is.

Well, if Rachel had a falling out with Blake, it would certainly explain the bizarre Dansea pimping.

I'm wondering how involved Sony was in all this, if maybe they pushed Ed Scott to get involved in the writing process. Also, where is this coming from? Did Dena Higley throw a tantrum and let fly with all this or is it from multiple sources? It seems one-sided. It's also potentially career suicide for the people involved, and they had to have known that so why did it happen? And was Dena's stuff even worse than what we've seen? And are the ideas still hers? This just leads to more and more questions.
