I'm still pissed at the idea of one of the actresses going around the studio, bragging to everyone that she's the headwriter with Ed Scott. I mean, ego much?!
That ALONE tells me its not any of the people one would consider a DIVA, such as KA, or Deidre. Only someone who is completely wet behind the ears would go around spouting shit like that.
As sweet and etc. as she seems it could also be Shelly Hennig......... ^o) These women are actresses so you never know how they are in real life when they aren't in front of a camera....... I don't think it's KR or SH simply for the fact that though they have had lots of screentime, the featured person in their pairings is the guy. With RM and SC...even though SC is the actor with more experience and a bigger name, Chelsea is the featured player.
But let's keep track. Just because ES might have edited scripts to some degree, does not mean he's sleeping with RM.

What about Arianne Zucker as the "Diva"? She has been getting a lot of stories since she returned.

But Phorgan is Highley´s creation. It was hinted almost from the beginning, as soon as the shipping war storyline started. It was also in the casting call for Paul, well into the beginning of the year. Highley wrote the elevator sex, she even did a preview for SOD when she was all happy how she could use this blackout as a shortcut for Ejole and Chloe/Lucas. Again, her ideas. Nelson's report said Higley hasn't been the HW for months and yet she previewed the blackout/elevator sex story so it was clearly hers. That was just a few weeks ago. Is her camp alleging that only parts of the show have been taken away from the writers? Or that we just haven't seen the Ed Scott material air yet? This is confusing and giving me a headache. I want all the facts and I want them now!

I think the character of Morgan is a nicer "fit" into the story, however. Here you have a pretty actress who is talented in her own right. She starts off as minor recurring character (around the time of Ed Scott's arrival, if I'm not mistaken). The sorority storyline runs its course with the death of Ford Decker. Yet her character stays around, with little to do, and then all of a sudden has a father on-canvas, is getting into the Phillip/Chloe story, which in turn involves her with numerous other stories. There are a lot of mentions of her mother, which seem to lay the groundwork for the entrance of her character in the near future. And she has no ties to any major family, other then being Chelsea and Stephanie's friend. Although to be fair, I think it's refreshing that a non-related character is being featured on the show, because it makes things interesting, and I like the character of Morgan. But having said that, she fits more into the backstage story more than Rachel Melvin does.
But they also said that the actress had been in over 100 episodes. Kristen Renton had not been in that many at the time. Well that's a good point. Per the blind items and hints, she wouldn't fit that description. Maybe the 100 episode item wasn't a set figure? Maybe it was an exaggeration or an approximation? Hard to say. But besides that point, everything else seems to fit. And to be up front, I just might not want to "go there" with Rachel Melvin because I think she's amazing on the show. But as such, since she's amazing and gets a ton of screentime, I don't see her going ahead and manipulating things in such a way. She already has everything she could want in terms of story and airtime. But then again, I can't picture Kristen Renton running around claiming that she's a headwriter, lol. My head hurts!

Seriously, lets assume she didn't sleep with ES even if she did because I just thought the visual with RM and SC was bad. We have no proof she slept with anybody, so lets try to not picture it.

I don't want to seem stupid, but is this Nelson Branco anyone of importance? Or is he just a gossip writer? I don't know anything about him. Does he usually tell the truth or does he take things out of text like some reporters do. Someone please answer.

Yeah, I'm not seeing the Y&R connection, either. Josh Griffith has been doing the same thing at Y&R that Ed Scott's been doing. So, since Griffith might be fired soon since Bloom doesn't want to put up with this BS, Ed Scott is trying to get him to come to DAYS because he was also rewriting stuff and has much better experience as a soap writer to carry out storylines.

I'm not sure why so many on here are fixating on Rachel Melvin. To be fair I hadn't heard anything of the rumor of her having a fallout with Blake Berris. But even then, it sounds like the "diva" that has been mentioned (and has been rumored to be sleeping with a producer) would be someone that has shot out of nowhere in terms of airtime and character importance. Melvin, who is Days' finest actress (imo), has been front-burner for almost all of her 3 years. She's never without a story. She doesn't need more airtime. To me it just doesn't "fit".
I think the character of Morgan is a nicer "fit" into the story, however. Here you have a pretty actress who is talented in her own right. That's what I don't get. The blackout felt like typical Higley (you know, event that lasts for a few episode) but now it sounds like we have been seeing Ed's rewritten stuff since June.

As far as the writing goes, I think this has pretty much all been Higley's material, but Ed has just been tweaking things and making subtle changes (although the show has still sucked, regardless). I don't think any of these stories are his ideas.

It said "weeks and weeks" not months and months. She also previewed the very recent John/Ava sex and referred to an upcoming "wrinkle" in J&M's story.

She already has everything she could want in terms of story and airtime. But then again, I can't picture Kristen Renton running around claiming that she's a headwriter, lol. My head hurts! I don't see why this new story couldn't involve KR even if the blind item referred to someone else. Why are we conflating the two? As far as I'm concerned this new story could be--and as far as we know, is--totally unrelated to the blind item. There's no evidence that Ed Scott is having an affair. But back to KR, Ed Scott was on board pre-Higley so he certainly could have told her what to write or at least given her the outline of it. Whose scripts were they that had Philip and Chloe talking about whether they had ever been in love and later discussing Philip's leg and Chloe's ability to handle it? That certainly didn't have me thinking "Phorgan." If only that thought had never popped into anyone's head. . . .
I doubt it's KR simply because I don't see how she'd have that much power. But for sure she has gotten very favorable screen time and while Morgan has been written like a fool lately (not that I was ever impressed with her), she hasn't suffered the humiliation most of the other women have. At least, not yet.

It said "weeks and weeks" not months and months. But it's still only been about three weeks since a story aired that Dena Higley herself admitted was her work. I'm trying to figure out if the show has been completely taken away from Higley or if it's "tweaking" going on. It bothers me that the source quoted was from Higley's camp. I want to hear from Ed Scott's camp, too.

Kristian and Deidre are along with Renee and Lauren those I can't even imagine behaving like that.
