I'm gone for the majority of the day and I come back to this -- holy shit. The more I read the backstage shit going on the more I think "maybe a Reilly return wouldn't be so bad".

Then I slapped myself silly back to reality.

I'd sure love to know who's been doing this. My money is on Nadia or Rachel.

I'll be following the backstage drama from here on out, that's for sure. Time to grease up my typing fingers.

When Diva's get a little too big for their britches it often gets them in big trouble.

I keep thinking of the young actress who played Jennifer Munson on ATWT who tried to get Kathryn Hays fired. It backfired on her and she got fired instead. She thought she was more important to the show than Hays, but she got shown the door.

Actresses esp. get jeolous of one another.
Unfortuntely, women in general get especially jealous and catty with one another.

Oh I know. I worked in management for 10 years and I hated a staff of all females worse than a mixed staff of males & females or just males.

It is not a put down to women at all. I just noticed there seemed to be more office jeolousy and gossip with a room full of women than there was with a mixed staff.

The men did their share of gossip too but they didn't seem to be as jeolous or catty about things.

I can't wait to read more about all of this. So who do you all think the diva is? Someone at NBC speculated that is was a younger actress who was doing the dirty with Ed. I hope the hell not! :puke:

Oh I did forget about the one time I had 2 really catty Queens on my staff of men and those 2 were worse than any women I ever had working for me. They never had a kind remark to say to anyone, everyone was out to get them, and they kept shit stirred up all the time.

Nelson is right that Days will have a hard time recovering from this. They are going into the Olympics with all this uneveness and nothing really exciting going on. They have too many writers backstage and all this turmoil behind the scenes. Actors finding out now that other actors are writing the show will cause backstage trumoil among the performers. They will be taking sides in all this.

If Scott is trying to get Corday out too, then the actors who love Corday will side with him against the actors who now like Scott.

Plus they will be looking at fines, and possibly a settlement with Higley now if she sues the show.

It is a big mess that Ed created here.

Since others are hearing the same things from other sources and not just from Higley sources then I see a lot of it being true - esp. if they are saying Griffith might be doing the same thing.
Then Higley can use the money she makes from this to pay for pretending not to be a scab during the strike.

Ooh, treads are being deleted on the Y&R Sony board regarding this matter. People are getting PM's from the admin's saying that the show doesn't want this stuff posted and that these claims are not "substantiated." The Higley is out thread is still going strong over on the Sony DAYS board though.
The thread at NBC is still going strong. Lots of opinions on whose fault it is too.

I think in the end there is not going to be anyone completely innocent in all this and no one completely to blame - except maybe the actress who seems to have her own agenda in things.

The sad thing is that all of daytime is going to pay for it and most importantly Days is going to pay for it.

And I can't wait to see what Sony and NBC do with all this. If Sony sides with Ed will they push Griffith over there and who knows what mess Days will be in then. If NBC decides to take charge will they push someone on Corday again or will they just say to hell with it and cancel the show altogehter.

In the end what Scott and this actress did will end up putting the final nail in Days coffin. It already has several in the coffin, and this is probably going to be what puts in under.

What should we term this fiasco, SoapGATE?

The crazy behind the scenes stuff at DOOL makes me wonder if it is the reason why TB did not re-sign with the show when her contract was up?

Well if she was a scab at least she will have money to show for it.

What Scott and this actress did is basically the same as scabbing. They are working as writers without being a member of the union - in essence they were scab writing in a non-strike time.

All they will have to show for it is most likely a bad reputation and the cancellation of Days of Our Lives

Now granted... rewriting a writers script is unethical and illegal... and I am not giving Ed clearance if that is what he indeed did. However, whomever took the time to take photo's of scripts, was planning on causing trouble. It make me think that Higley is behind this, because she thought her job was in jeopardy. Sorta like "if you poke me then I am gonna poke you back" kinda thing.

Then again I could be wrong... but something is WAY off. Someone was PLANNING on this thing blowing up.
Absolutely! Whoever turned them in, so to speak, obviously has nothing to lose. If its someone who works on Days, they must not care about losing their job.
