Oh now that would make me happy, providing she has a strong co-HW with her. |

I doubt it, she was just promoted to script editor at Y&R and has a prior relationship with the Bell's. Paula Cwickly also writes for Y&R and though I love her there, I think she'd be a better asset at DAYS. Whatever it is Nelson, we're waiting. ;) |

Oh, I forgot that Paula Cwickly is at Y&R too! I'd LOVE it if she returned to DAYS! |

I forgot about Cwickly. Maybe it involves her. I would go for that. I never thought I would see it happen though. |

I think it's time for another Breaking News segment, Nelson. I don't think we can make it to Monday. Besides, the way this is going, you will likely still have new stuff for us Monday as well. . |

Oh my God, how awful would it be if, instead of DAYS snagging someone from Y&R, Higley got a job over at Y&R? LoL *ducks from flying blunt objects* |

Just when Y&R shows promise, that's all it would need. I doubt it though. If Dena had issues with Ed, she would clearly have more issues at Y&R, especially with Hogan over there. |

Maybe Nelson meant the Y&R news was a seperate item? And Dena doesn't need to work in daytime EVER AGAIN. |

I sincerely hope that no soap is stupid enough to hire Higley, though I wouldn't be surprised. |

We should all write letters to KC, ES and the execs at NBC letting them know how happy we are that DH is no longer the head writer. |

I think between Corday and NBC, it's probably always an uphill battle for the headwriter at Days to do his/her job. Corday is always backtracking meaning letting the writers write someone out but then forcing them to bring him/her back once the fan outcry pours in. Then he's always forcing the headwriter to write for his pets like Nadia/Chloe and to write for a teen scene which often requires unbelievable SORASing. The network is always forcing the show to drag out plots so they climax during sweeps even though, by then, they should expect fans to be bored to tears with the story. Lately, NBC has been forcing their themes and causes on the show and now product placement and such. And that's only going to continue. That's why it's surprising to hear that Ed Scott is the reason??? WTH? Makes no sense. Unless Dena is blaming these things on Ed because she can't blame it on Corday and NBC. Dena just couldn't hack it, so to speak. She's got too much on her plate at home to bring creativity on a day to day basis week after week month after month year after year like a headwriter needs to bring. I think if a headwriter could have some early success both critically and bringing ratings up, Corday and the network might back off somewhat but they will never completely stop sticking their nose into things. That's just something whoever takes on the job will have to live with. |

Oh, you're so bad. You can't tease us like that! LoL It involves Y&R? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is a good thing... meaning Days is stealing some of Y&R's behind-the-scenes talent. I just hope it's not Lynn Marie Latham, LoL. Maybe Jack Smith? Either way, I'm just glad Higley appears to be gone. I knew that her return would be a disaster from the start, and I'm sorry to say that she didn't prove me wrong. |

I don't think so. He said "the story just got nastier," which alludes that it involves the Dena drama. Maybe Hogan came over from Y&R and keyed her car in the parking lot or something, LoL. In which case, goooo Hogan! |

Yeah, I think this is the main reason. I know she is universaly hated now but she was an associate HW for more than 20 years and she was good. I don´t even think her stories were so bad, but she obviously weren´t able to do it all. Plan new stories, prepare breakdowns and hold the writers meetings. The HW really needs to be someone like JER, someone passionate about the job, not living his own family drama every day. Edited by jane1978, Jul 27 2008, 04:07 AM.

Like I said, I don't know if it's true. That is what someone told me, but I guess they lied. |
