IS Ed Scott considered the Executive Producer/Showrunner? Excerpt from: Writers Guild of America, TV Writers Booklet #1-final, Chapter Four Executive Producers TAKING CREDIT Historically, showrunners only rarely put their names on scripts written for the show by other writers (see “Credit Grabbing” in Chapter Two). As showrunner, you need to recognize that the power you hold creates the potential for abuse. Though your own writing staff can contest shared credit through arbitration if you put your name on their scripts, the reality is that few writers will dare go up against you for fear of jeopardizing their careers. Showrunners who routinely take writing credit on scripts assigned to others tend to create resentment and mistrust among the staff, resulting in low morale. This could be through ignorance or arrogance. Some showrunners have cited the standard that writing credits should accurately reflect “who did what” on a script. But a different standard has long applied to television writing, a standard of fairness based upon the power structure of episodic television. A showrunner is expected to rewrite. It comes with the job description, and, as the showrunner you are well compensated for it. Although it might be frustrating to do a page-one rewrite and send it out with someone else’s name on it, as showrunner you need to ask yourself, who assigned the script? Who approved the story? Who was in charge of notes and rewrites? Who is ultimately responsible for every word that appears on the show? You are. All good work on the show redounds to your credit whether your name is on a particular script or not. Conversely, all poor work is also attributed to your leadership regardless of whose name appears on an episode. It’s important to think about that before putting your name on someone else’s script http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:Sub3MpH5k6QJ:www.wga.org/uploadedFiles/writers_resources/ep4.pdf+site:wga.org+television+writing+PDF&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=1 Edited by ilovemydays, Jul 28 2008, 09:09 PM.

if someone has a wiki account, someone should add a profile to Terry Henning Renton. "... is a stalker who has terrorized the young female cast of Days of Our Lives. Notably Sheilly Henning, who he made take down all of her personal information online out of fear of this stalker. A noted polygamist, he frequently pitches story ideas based on the storylines of One Tree Hill. " |

Well, Nadia's airtime has increased and around the time the blind item took place so I think she's back on the table as a possibility. Nadia's been front burner for June/July. Shelley Henig too. Rachel has been a large part of the show for the last three years solid so it would seem odd her stating that her lines have increased - they haven't increased that much compared to 2006 & 2007 or even earlier in this year. Where as Nadia was barely seen in March and had very few episodes in April/May. February she was in a lot of episodes because she was in Ireland and the plane crash but didn't have that much to do or that many lines during those stories. Ken Corday loves Nadia and forced her back on the show because she wanted to return and his title is "Executive Producer". I know Nadia has a boyfriend and I don't see her doing drugs but you just never know these days. |

Nadia and KR saw the same increase in number of episodes from May to June--9 each. That makes some sense considering they were in a lot of scenes together. The difference is KR is getting the guy and the front burner storyline with her increase in airtime, whereas Nadia is getting what I consider to be the short end of the stick with BD/Lucas. That's what's always been important to me in these speculations: who's getting what they want? I just don't see that being NB. Now, that doesn't mean that KR is involved either. It could be, and probably is, neither one of them. Edited by Paxton, Jul 28 2008, 09:34 PM.

If I was to go by this and solely base who I thought was said "diva" on this my first thought would be KR. She barely had any days for months and then BOOM there she is.... on almost everyday. I mean come on. She went from being a purely background support character to being frontburner interacting with ALL the vets not just one but ALL. Her character is being propped more and more everyday. Hell they even brought Tony in just to say what a great person she is... now that just sounds fishy to me. SH, NB, and RM screentime has flucuated so I don't suspect them. I do remember reading somewhere that said "diva" was getting more and more lines and airtime and then there is only one person who has been steadily rising and that is AZ. Hey, does anybody have the totals for how many days they have been on this month so far? Edited by Ceki, Jul 28 2008, 09:57 PM.

Its not Arianne Zucker. They through her into a storyline because she came back and she was pretty much always front and center during her first run. |
