For those unfamiliar, we are an uncensored community for fans and lovers of the daytime genre. We have a no-holds-barred atmosphere in regards to the shows, writers, actors etc. but we do not allow member bashing in any form.

Avatar change; having some trouble

Posts: 1,511 Group: Elite Member Member #81 Joined: June 14, 2007	I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hell of a time changing my avatar. I go to upload avatar, find the pic I want, then when I hit use uploaded avatar it goes back to my previosly uploaded avatar. I have hit remove under the pic and it changed to the star fish, then tried to upload the new one and bam.. back to my previous avatar. What am I doing wrong? :shrug:

I deleted my cookies, made sure my photo was the right size and removed my old avatar. And it STILL reverts back to my original one. I decide to finally do an update...and I'm denied. Fuck muffins!

An easy way to use an image that's "too large" for your DR avatar pic: Upload it to a free photo sharing website like Photobucket.com & just use the "URL to Avatar" option here at DR instead of the "Upload Avatar" one. It won't care that it's too large since it's saved into the web and not your computers hard drive ;-). To get the URL of the image, just right click it and press "copy image URL." Hope something works out for you B-)

Also, looking forward to experimenting with banners. I have some nice graphic software on my laptop, have to figure out how to use it! Thanks so much for your help. When you put in the new signature, did you press the "image" button in the text editor, then enter the URL of the image? It should work if you do it like that. Don't forget to right click the image you want and press "Copy Image URL" Glad you got your new avatar :D !!
