"We can swap stories about Harry's penis!"

Talk about the most awkward TV scene EVER.

It's cheesy, but I think it'll do better. I hope The CW continues on with a second season. Remember the first season of the original 90210? It's horrible. It didn't get better until the second season, wel that summer season. Is that techincially the second season?

I actually like Season 1 of BH 90210, LoL. It was cheesy too, but at least there was better acting and some depth involved.

Meanwhile...

DIE ANNIE. DIE.

Yeah it was cheesy but so wasn't the original 90210, i will continue to watch as long as it airs.

Oh, I'm definitely gonna keep watching. I still think the show has major potential.

But someone HAS to tell Shenae Grimes that this is 90210, NOT That's So Raven.

Awe, it does my heart good to see Brenda, Kelly and Nat all in one scene together again.

As much as I nitpick about things, that's one thing that actually doesn't bother me, for some reason.

Does it look too modern?

I liked the idea of them redesigning the Peach Pit, but at the same time, having something unchanged would've been a nice touch. The Peach Pit is very significant to 90210!

It's pretty modern Jinxie. It's your basic cafe shop.

I don't know what it is about the Peach Pit in its current state, but i just don't like it. Back in the day it was a burger joint and now it looks like a coffee bar/expensive restaurant.

I do agree that it looks too generic now (almost like it's become a chain restaurant). But I'm just happy to have it and Nat back in any capacity.

That's true, Drew.

With the exception of Brenda/Dylan, I disliked S1 and S2 of original 90210. Too much based on social issues. It was cheesy and awkward.

I'm iffy on the show, there were some things I liked and some things that were just poorly executed and cheesy. There were WAY too many cliche's in the first half hour and even though I'm Canadian, I just can't bring myself to like Shenae Grimes. She's just so boring, and do they really need to make her a carbon copy of Brenda? Talk about lack of originality. Yes, the original was cheesy (from my DVD - I am otherwise only familiar with the college era and on of the original) but this is friggen' 2008 - give us some edge!

Another problem is they just jammed in 10 storylines, brushing over important things (like were was the scene where Harry told Debbie about his other kid? They couldn't have dragged this out more? I thought I had MISSED this scene).

I did LOVE Kelly though, as well as all of her scenes with Brenda, the teacher and Silver. The storyline I was most interested in was definitely who Sammy's father is...and that's not saying much since the show is supposed to be about a group of teens, lol.

There were some little things that were great- Nat. Kelly. Brenda. The Peach Pit. The SAME school was the original (same logo and everything, haha). Annie's grandmother, Tabitha was hilarious and I didn't really know who Linda Gray was, but my grandmother pointed out it was a cameo. I love attention to detail like that, so some extra points for that....

I think Lori Loughlin was a bad choice. I can see why they picked her - the CW crowd (people my age and younger, I guess) are familiar with her due to growing up with Full House when we were little, watching a ton of reruns on TBS and I guess more recently she was in Summerland. Why she was picked as the mom in that show as well, I don't know...she doesn't look that great to me. I like her in Full House, but that's about it. They should have picked someone like Heather Locklear, but oh sorry, that apparently can't be done because in the 90210 universe, she is Amanda Woodward...which doesn't seem to affect the fact that Rob Estes was formerly Kyle, LOL. They should have picked a well known actress in her early 40's with more appeal (I.e. not overtanned and 'attemping' to look young!).
