Everytime Jennie Garth is on the screen, I see Carrie Brady.
Wow, good observation. They totally remind me of each other!

Lori Loughlin sucks.

Wait... when did she find out that Rob Estes has a child with another woman? Did we miss that scene or did I nod off for a few minutes? LoL
I thought I missed it too - isn't that an important scene? And why would they not only brush over it, but have him tell her in the FIRST EPISODE! Do these people not know how to write soap opera's?

Linda Grey was called Mrs. Brewer. So she's not Mrs. Michaels (Amanda Woodward's mom).

Does anyone else think that the girl that plays Silver looks like Megan Fox?

I don't know, but I love the actress! She's one of the few regular cast members I don't hate, LoL.

I see a resemblance between Jessica Stroup and Megan Fox for sure. I noticed from the first 90210 promo pictures that were released.

^^What's kind funny about it is that Megan Fox is dating or engaged to Brian Austin Green and Silver is David's little sister.

Episode 5, "Wide Awake and Dreaming"

As the opening night of the school play "Spring Awakening" approaches, Ty reveals to Annie his plans for a one-on-one after-party in his hotel room with her. Others at school are concerned about how fast Annie and Ty's relationship is developing. Meanwhile, Naomi won't accept her parents' divorce and Adrianna is confronted about a substance abuse problem, which gives Annie a chance to be the lead in the play.

I'm finally watching the first episode. I'm about five minutes into it, and I'm not feeling it much. Its a little corny.

I know how you feel. Aside from the few scenes with Brenda and Kelly scattered throughout the episode (and Tabitha), it was pretty much crap. I'm hoping that it'll get better as the season goes on, though.

You're right, Scott. It wasn't totally awful. But, from what I expected, it sucked big time. You know the feeling when you get super hyped up for something and then it expected to be exceptional?

There was no major plot. The music at some points was super cheesy. The character interaction sucked.

Perhaps I will give it another chance, but right now I'm majorly disappointed.

The music is one thing I won't complain about. Having "Viva la Vida" playing at the very beginning was awesome.

There were some parts throughout the episode where the music just came in so suddenly.

I know a lot of people complained about quick cuts between scenes, but I really didn't find that to be a problem, myself.

Yeah. It's pretty bad. I am watching the second hour right now. It's just so weird and disjointed. I don't know. I don't get it.

I don't get why Silver would go to Naomi's party?

I don't get why Naomi wouldn't throw them out since she uninvited Annie?

I don't get how and in what high school world Adrianna and Naomi would be best friends?

I don't get why Annie was after Ethan in the first episode and then so sad when she got dumped in the second episode?

I know I am nitpicking, but I am a wannabe screenwriter so what else am I supposed to do? Haha. The acting is horrible, but whatever, it's a teen soap. Haha. It is to be kind of expected. Naomi looks like she is 30. I love AnnaLynne McCord, but let's be honest.

I will keep watching too, but I don't expect it to get better. In fact, I expect it to get worse. Rob Thomas wrote the first draft of the pilot before getting fired (or handing it off??), and he is pretty amazing. He was, at least, on Veronica Mars. He wrote pretty realistic teens on that show. As Dave said, I feel like they wiped out his influence. I would love to see the original script of the pilot! But anyway, I expect the show to get worse, but we'll see.
