Sharongate, bitches!

LOL! At Eileen Davidson, "I lied!" I'm glad she signed a long-term contract.

And Burton needs to leave GH for good, but I don't see that happening. What else does he have going for him?

OOOOOOOH, burn dashwood! WOWZA— Ditto that, but in order for me to be excited over this show again he has to be on it. Perhaps I won't FF as much. That's star power.

My guess was right about the ABC high profile actress whose return was botched is AMC's Rebecca Budig. I just had a feeling it was her. If she does leave at the end of this year when her contract is up, who can blame her? She's bound for bigger and better things back in L.A. (She's too talented for this stinking soap!) LOL! Now if TIIC really want to make up for her "botched return", they should move heaven and earth to get Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo) to reprise his role on AMC for a few days, just in time to escort Rebecca and "Greenlee" out with a hapy ending. THAT would be the ultimate! (I can dream, can't I?!) :tounge:

That's ok. In my gut, I already knew. Plus, Rebecca shares a home with her husband, Bob Guiney in L.A. They also have a dog whom Rebecca adores and she's been quoted as saying that most of the time, the dog stays home with Bob and she misses her like crazy. That alone I imagine would be enough to make her not want to re-sign. Add that to the fact that Rebecca said a few months ago when a fan asked her how long she'd stay on AMC this time and Rebecca replied, "I'm there til I'm not anymore." I knew then that she probably wouldn't be staying beyond her contract.

Well, nothing is written in stone, but apparently I'm not the only one who believes she is leaving.

That makes you go, "Why did they get rid of Sabine anyway?" You know, that is what I hate about stunt casting just to prove a purpose, or just to get a ratings boost. ALTHOUGH, I would take Pelphrey on GH than Burton at the moment. Wow, I just went hypocritical.

Well that "star power" needs to be seen elsewhere, where he won't get sucked into the mob mess and Frons world. There are plenty of other ways to make GH exciting again. They don't need TP, they have enough people as it is. How about better writing, less mob, less Lulu and maybe if they'd fire Guza & co, it could be a start.

They got rid of Sabine because Frons ALWAYS wanted RB back in the first place. Plus, many long-time viewers just didn't think of her as "Greenlee" and begged for RB's return. BUT, make no mistake, Rebecca came back only because of the strike. From what I heard, she did not intend to return at all and turned down TPTB several times. That's why she wouldn't agree to any more than a one-year contract. Frons and the other higher-ups knew that going in. They didn't care. They wanted her back under any terms that they could get her. However, they are probably pinning everything on new HW Charles Pratt's power of writing great SL to convince Rebecca to sign a longer term contract. We'll see, but I think she's out of there by the end of the year.
