Uh, no. We already have two talentless PASSIONS castoffs too many, as it is. |

I swear to God, if DAYS recasts Belle when Martha is totally available...oh, it won't be good... |

So there is talk of bringing the CHARACTER back? Makes sense. They are bringing back Brady so it seems they want the whole family back. Martha was spotted there so maybe there is a chance. The only way I can get behind round two of Brady/Chloe/Philip is to add Belle into the mix. Then you have a real story there. I just have a hard time imagining Corday bringing Belle back without Shawn. If they do bring back Shawn, they should just leave Brady offscreen and go back to the quad they were going to do with Shawn/Belle/Philip/Chloe. |

I agree. Unless it's Justin Hartley or Ben Masters...no Passions actors please. Now, if we are talking Passions actresses, they have a few good ones I wouldn't mind  . |

Mason's quote about the vet in this day and time could fit James Scott too. So many use the term vet so loosely and include people who have been there longer than a year. And his being gone fits the description too - some would be happy and some wouldn't. personally I would love for Scott, Dattilo and Sweeney to all be gone. If they were it would give me more incentive to watch again. The 3 of them along with Hogan Sheffer's writing/stories just sucked any feeling I had for Days last year and still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. |

Beloved Vet to me is someone like Drake, Deidre, Leanne, Thaao, Joe, Peter, Kristen, Stephen, James R, Josh, Marybeth, Peggy, Suzanne, John A, or Lauren. The most beloved vet would be Frances of course. BD AS and Renee I would consider vets because they have been with the show more than 10 years - but I don't now if they have reached the Beloved status. JKJ, JS and NB are hardly vets in my opinion. I go back and forth on BD however - I supposed he could be considered "beloved" by his cast mates and some fans. but the same could be said for Allison and Renee... |

I think I'd rather go the split route. I just think it would be too much to have Shawn go missing after Hope lost Zach. But, then again, it could be a great storyline for Bo and Hope. But then again, it would open things up to yet ANOTHER recasting of Shawn, and that would just be too much. I'm still banking on Claire being Philip's!! :P |

This is from a source that's pretty shaky at best, isn't it? When they use terminology, you can't take it to heart. Vet could mean a SOAP vet, period, not necessarily a Days event. Beloved is a loose term, too. Beloved could mean anyone with a fanbase, and yes, ALL these folks have a fanbase (the ones you're NOT considering beloved). Beloved as a term is right up there with the word "feelings". It could mean anything. :D Think of the SOD covers. If you took everything that was on the SOD covers literally, soapdom history would be quite a bit different than it really is. They have to word things to entice people. That being said............damn it, folks, expose this person already so we can change the subject!! :D |

You "suppose"? Just by castmates? SOME fans? You'd be surprised........That comment is kind of a slap in the face to Lumi fans. You don't know how many fans he has beyond his fanbase, the general population that doesn't hang around message boards and attend fan events. I'll wager there are quite a few people who like all three of them and would be disappointed if they left. I happen to know quite a few Bryan Datillo fans. Some don't come here, but that's OK. They're still Bryan Datillo fans. They do attend fan events. It's very possible it could be any of those three, but I feel like your comment negates and sort of belittles their contributions to Days over the years. Gads, I just wish they'd announce this already and drop the other shoe. |

I'm not trying to belittle anyone - I just think that the word "beloved" suggests a certain longevity - almost reserved for the older vets who have been around so long and their fans have been there for decades ... It just doesn't seem to be a term I would apply to younger actors - but with Bryan I think he is rather beloved by his fans and his cast mates even though he is a younger actor. So I think the term beloved could apply to him as well. |

I agree with LadyoftheLake--someone needs to announce who's leaving so we can move on. It's been weeks now and there's not much more speculating to do. And all of this defining of the words "beloved vet" is reminding me of the Clinton years. (If some of you don't understand that reference, well...I feel really old!) As for Martha, I would be ecstatic if she came back! IMO, we need Belle back to get involved in the Philip/Chloe/Brady story that appears to be upcoming, and there's no reason to recast if Martha is available. Maybe that's why they are holding off on the news of the "beloved vet" firing, so they can announce Martha's return at the same time, thereby softening the negative impact from the fans of whoever is leaving....okay, I guess there IS still stuff to speculate about! |

I agree. They have to end this. It's been going on since Renton was fired well over a month ago. It's not about the vet either. There was another actress fired with Renton and we still don't know who that is either or if that person is still going. Edited by PhoenixRising05, Oct 1 2008, 06:48 PM.
