Wow, I'm surprised they went two years.

This hopefully will keep the show on through its 45th anniversary in 2010 then.

LoL, before you know it, the Days characters will be strolling through empty parks 24/7. Salem will be a virtual ghost town 'cause they can't afford extras! ;)

Anywho, I'm glad this news has FINALLY come out! Although, I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed. When I saw the subject title, I thought I was going to read that Higley finally got the boot. I wasn't really worried about the show being renewed.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOO!

So glad Days was renewed and multiple sources are confirming it! And congrats to the DR for getting this! So, at least we'll get to see Salem at least until 2011!

And my name will make sense until then, too. :P

Sharongate, bitches!

Good, but I don't trust NBC. Didn't they cancel Passions a few months after they claimed it was renewed or something? Anyway, I hope the show can turn itself around, if it should go off the air in 2011. We don't need to see any soaps being canceled, especially not now.

I don't trust NBC, either, Alvin. I don't want to be a downer (believe me, I AM ecstatic about this), but I'm hesitant to get too celebratory about this, at the same time.

I think that was partially DirecTV's fault/decision. Because when NBC cancelled it, it was slowly edging to the time where its would be said if it was renewed or not. It was a little early, but yeah.

I wouldn't really say that now. A few months ago, in the summer, yes the writing was atrocious. But recently, the writing has picked up and things are actually making sense. I can watch DAYS and not roll my eyes at every segment and be distracted by other things while watching.

Mason, have you even been watching? After some of the stuff that we've endured, even under Hogan, which you've stayed a fan of during, I'm surprised you're not finding at least something you like on the show right now. The only thing I can think of is that you're not watching.

Oh I agree that the show is so much better now than it was in the summer. Granted during the summer my favorite character(Sam) made a brief return, but I wasn't watching Days consistently, and everything changed so much every time I tuned in, although of course I enjoyed some of the summer, again the writing may not be the best or classic writing but it sure is better.
