Right now, I'm barely able to watch OLTL (a show that I'm actually enjoying), so I'm definitely not watching DAYS. I keep up with what's going on through spoilers and summaries though, and I can honestly say that nothing's really catching my interest. The DiMera family story had a lot of potential and I would have loved to have seen that play out but it seems that's just being dropped now. Theo's autism story may have improved lately, but the crappy beginning of the story just turned me off of it. I like Abe, but his running for mayor doesn't particularly move me either way. Ditto for Bo and/or Hope becoming commissioner in his place. I've never cared about Max/Stephanie/Melanie/Trent, so of course Trent's murder does nothing for me. I like E.J. and Nicole, but anything involving Sami just sucks the life out of stories on this show now. Plus, I HATE the pregnancy plot twist. I don't like Phloe, so their getting back together isn't exactly a draw for me. On paper, Kate's lung cancer could be great, but I feel like it's more of a plot device to move her closer to Daniel, whom I loathe. So, yeah, there really honest-to-God is not one thing on DAYS that makes me even remotely interested in tuning in. Has it gotten better than it was in the summer? Of course. I'm not going to deny that, but it's still not good enough for me. |

That's great news! It was so long coming, I was sure that they were just putting off the cancellation notice as long as possiible. |

Wonderful news! Although we had been hearing it was renewed, it's great to have confirmation. Congratulations to all the DAYS cast and crew. Although it's not perfect, the show has improved a lot recently. It has a good balance and the stories are focused and characters have a purpose. I'm looking forward to what's coming up next. And it's terrific to know that we can relax somewhat for a couple years. Although I recognize nothing is certain, NBC is showing some faith in the show and that makes me happy right now. |

I also want to add that this probably buys the P&G soaps another couple years as well. |

I totally disagree. While I am happy that Days has been renewed for 2 years there is no way GL will make it past next year. |

That's definitely a possibility. My statement just stems from my theory that maybe CBS was waiting for NBC to cancel DAYS so the backlash of their cancellation would be overshadowed. |

GL needs to go, honestly. It pains me to say it, but it's true. It's not even recognizable anymore. All it is these days is one big failure of an experiment of Ellen Wheeler's. And that's not how I want to remember GL. |
