Hi everyone, I've figured out how to embed a few video types on this board, and I wanted to share. If anyone comes across another video type, feel free to post it in this thread, and hopefully I or someone else here can figure it out! Also feel free to post any questions/issues with these video types. Good luck!
Get the url of the video, which is found on YouTube in the "URL" box to the right of the video (and also in the address bar). For example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIvZf3wT7iQ.
Then to embed it here, use [flash=425,344]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIvZf3wT7iQ[/flash]
Note: The width and height on the YouTube screen is 425,344. If the video looks 'stretched out' on YouTube, then just use [flash] without a width and height, and a smaller size will be used on this site.
If a YouTube user has disabled embedding on the video, you can't embed it here. It will initially show up, but then if you press play, it will say "This Video is Unavailable". It's always a good idea to play the first few seconds of the video you're embedding when you preview the post, just to make sure it's working correctly.
NBC (including Days weekly previews, etc).
Copy and paste the 'embed' code (found in the 'About' tab under the video) into your post. (Don't submit the post yet!)
The code will look something like:
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://widgets.nbc.com/o/4727a250e66f9723/49069b31e05545ca/4741e3c5156499a7/3aa6cad2/-cpid/19e47dd0b3f49688" id="W4727a250e66f972349069b31e05545ca" width="384" height="283"><param name="movie" value="http://widgets.nbc.com/o/4727a250e66f9723/49069b31e05545ca/4741e3c5156499a7/3aa6cad2/-cpid/19e47dd0b3f49688" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowNetworking" value="all" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /></object>
The part you are interested in is the part beginning http://widgets.nbc.com and ending before the "id=" section. You can find the width and height in the above code as well.
So for the above video, you'd use:
(Then erase the rest of the code you cut and pasted.)
Note: The NBC videos are usually of high enough quality that you can double the width and length (or multiply them each by 1.5). Just make sure you multiply each by the same number. For example, for the above video, you could do [flash=576,424.5].
Cut and paste the embed code into your post. (Click the 'Share' button to get the code.) It will look something like:
<embed FlashVars='videoId=189148' src='http://www.comedycentral.com/sitewide/video_player/view/default/swf.jhtml' quality='high' bgcolor='#cccccc' width='332' height='316' name='comedy_central_player' align='middle' allowScriptAccess='always' allownetworking='external' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer'></embed>
To embed it here, use the following code, replacing the videoId with the videoId from the embed code:
Copy and paste the embed code. You can get this by clicking the 'Share' button, and then 'Embed this Video'. It will look something like:
<embed type='application/x-shockwave-flash' src='http://foxnews1.a.mms.mavenapps.net/mms/rt/1/site/foxnews1-foxnews-pub01-live/current/videolandingpage/fncLargePlayer/client/embedded/embedded.swf' id='mediumFlashEmbedded' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer' bgcolor='#000000' allowScriptAccess='always' allowFullScreen='true' quality='high' name='undefined' play='false' scale='noscale' menu='false' salign='LT' scriptAccess='always' wmode='false' height='275' width='305' flashvars='playerId=videolandingpage&playerTemplateId=fncLargePlayer&categoryTitle=&referralObject=3165484&referralPlaylistId=playlist' />
To embed the video, use the 'referralObject' and the below code. The length and width can usually be increased (each multiplied by the same number):
Click the 'embed' button in the upper left to get the embed code. It will look something like:
<object width="512" height="296"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/PvZcMs_bQiCoJyfv8ZOzoQ"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/PvZcMs_bQiCoJyfv8ZOzoQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="512" height="296"></embed></object>
To embed it here, use the code after the "value=" :
Sony Days of Our Lives site
If the page url is http://www.daysofourlives.com/video/insidesalem/index.php?swf=15, then the embedding code would be:
The number at the end is what changes with the different videos.
Inside Dish with Ross Matthews
Click on the "share videos" icon on the lower right of the video, then click the "embed" tab. Click "copy link", and paste the link into your post. (Don't submit - you'll need to edit it!) Find only the url part, such as http://www.cbs.com/e/Kyl1Jsvkx6pQ0oIlYHmj_plwojNZhCVU/theinsider/1. Use the width and length (will usually be 400,300) given to embed as follows:
Discard the rest of the embed code, and post!
As far as I can tell, ABC News, CNN and MSNBC do not embed here, because they are not flash videos. (They are iframe.)
Let me know if you have any questions!

I figured out how to embed the new 'xtranormal' videos...
If the video URL is http://www.xtranormal.com/watch?e=20090423184814819
Go to the video page and copy the embedding code, on the right where it says "embed our player". It will look something like:
<embed src = "http://www.xtranormal.com/players/jwplayer.swf" width = "500" height = "350" allowscriptaccess = "always" allowfullscreen = "true" flashvars = "height=350&width=500&file=http://tmpvideo.xtranormal.com/highres/20090423/0581712e-3051-11de-bb57-003048d6740d_5.flv&image=http://tmpvideo.xtranormal.com/highres/20090423/0581712e-3051-11de-bb57-003048d6740d_5_0.jpg&searchbar=false&autostart=false"></embed>
To embed it here, use the following:
The numbers after the word 'flash' come from the width and height in the embedding code.
The part after ?file= comes from the embedding code you cut and pasted, starting at &file= and ending with .flv
The part after &image= comes from the &image= part of the code you cut and pasted. (If you leave this out, it will work but just start with a black screen).
When you embed it, it will look as follows:

CBS news including Julie Chen Big Brother interviews.
Click 'embed' on the video and click 'copy to clipboard'. It will look as follows:
News&autoPlayVid=false&name=cbsPlayer&allowScriptAccess=always&wmode=transparent&embedded=y&scale=noscale&rv=n&salign=tl' allowFullScreen='true' width='425' height='324' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer'></embed><br/><a href='http://www.cbs.com'>Watch CBS Videos Online</a>
Here's how you construct the embedding code for our board: (you might have to get rid of the line breaks - I had to put those in now so it wouldn't stretch the board.) I tried to put the relevant parts of the above code in red. Hope it's not too confusing...

||One that hasn't been covered yet is Myspace Videos. I'm trying to figure out how to do it and not having much luck.|

PM me a link or post one here and I'll see what I can do. :)

The bit of code that is bolded is what you would look for and use to embed a Myspace video here.
<a href="http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=42598972">Kanye Attack Caught on Tape</a><br/><object width="425px" height="360px" ><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="movie" value="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=42598972,t=1,mt=video"/><embed src="http://mediaservices.myspace.com/services/media/embed.aspx/m=42598972,t=1,mt=video" width="425" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object>
The bit of code that is bolded is what you would look for and use to embed a Vimeo video here.
<object width="400" height="292"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=866495&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=866495&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="292"></embed></object><br /><a href="http://vimeo.com/866495?pg=embed&sec=866495">The glove</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user384884?pg=embed&sec=866495">Bewegtbildarbeiter</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com?pg=embed&sec=866495">Vimeo</a>

The bit of code that is bolded is what you would look for and combine to use to embed an eBaum's World video here.
<embed src="http://www.ebaumsworld.com/player.swf" allowScriptAccess="always" flashvars="pageurl=http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/80460110/&file=http://media.ebaumsworld.com/mediaFiles/video/380399/80460110.flv&mediaid=80460110&title=Classic - Schwetty Christmas Balls&tags=christmas,holiday,xmas,holy rusted metal, Batman!,weird,balls,parody,spoof,cool,omg,hilarious&description=The Christmas treat that you just gotta put in your mouth.&displayheight=325&backcolor=0x0d0d0d&lightoclor=0x336699&frontcolor=0xcccccc&image=http://media.ebaumsworld.com/thumbs/video/380399/80460110.jpg&username=ttbardj" wmode="transparent" loop="false" menu="false" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="425" height="345" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
