Thanks for the interview! And I must wholeheartedly agree that NB and JKJ have oodles of chemistry. Such a waste that they're not together.

Great interview, Nelson!

Despite her acting talent, I'm a fan of Nadia Bjorlin and Chloe. I'm so glad she's still on the show because I never thought she'd last this long. I'm glad she's still there.

I'm glad Nadia said something about Brady and Chloe resolving years of marital problems in one episode. That's ridiculous. That's just bad writing, and I'm glad Nadia said something about it, rather than just trying to sugar coat it or making some excuse or spin for the scenes.

When Chloe came back, you could just tell that the marriage was bad with a captial B. And then, finally, once Brady comes home and has a scene with Chloe, they're able to forgive each other just like that? Get real!

I was cracking up at Nelson referring to Nadia and Brandon Beemer as Daytime TV's Brangelina. It's so true. They're a beautiful couple. God, I miss the hotness that could've been Shawn and Chloe. :hmmph:

I just adore a multi-talented people like Nadia. I've been waiting for months for the CD with her brothers to come out. You should have asked her if she would consider Dancing with the Stars next season. Good interview, thanks for posting.

Wow! There is a positive Days interview/article from Nelson! Good job, dude!

This was weird:
TVG: You and Galen Gering [Rafe] would be hot together.
NB: Well, he only works with Alison Sweeney [Sami]. Galen doesn’t work with anyone else.

Really? Still? For how long? Two characters stuck together for months saying the same thing? Yea, this won't get old or stupid. Why don't they just rarely feature them for a little while, kind of like Stefano or Payla. Is this story really that big of a deal?
Sounds like GG was brought in just for AS only. Does she really have that much clout?

Thanks for the article. Nadia seems like such a sweet lady.

We were told that Galen and Ali are filming their scenes separately from the rest of the cast, to pre-tape stuff for Ali's maternity leave..Great interview though..

Which makes no sense given that her maternity leave starts in mid-Jan. Why isolate the two characters 10 weeks longer than necessary?

LoL @ the way she basically calls the past year at Days a mess and pisses all over Dena's stories by saying that she's stopped trying to make sense of anything anymore.

Hate Chloe, love Nadia!

Good Interview Nelson...

Well Nadia confirms it DAYS is clueless! They write with no clear direction. I wondered why they even brought Chloe back last year when she seemed to have no clear purpose or storyline she just floundered. She still is that way. She is like the token beauty that floats around the scenes or when they need a sex scene - she gets thrown into it. This whole romance with Lucas came out of the blue and really is ill conceived the audience is not buying it at all. Nadia really doesn't even address it. Chloe as she is currently written could be a character that Days could really do without especially since it doesn't sound at least at this point they are pairing her up with Brady. Brady seems to be getting involved with Nicole. I just hope they're not doing to Brady what they did to Chloe last year which was to bring him in with no clear direction for the character.

You silly thing! Of course that's what they're doing! LoL

Except I think that Chloe actually had a purpose when she came back last year. It wasn't until Dena Higley came onboard that she washed that all away.

Of course Chloe had a purpose when she returned in 2007. Kenny's right - she had just come back and seeds of her story were planted when DH started in October. Then the strike happened, and Dena threw out Hogan's story - and had no back-up plan for the character.

I don't understand why head writers don't think of "Plan B"'s. Hogan didn't either at times. All this talk about story being changed, and the rug being pulled out from under the writers - I wish a head writer would learn from every other clusterf@ck at every other soap, and think "Okay, this is what I want to do, but if the network screws me over, at least I have a back-up plan for these characters"

Instead, the story gets changed mid-stream, and everyone does a lot of complaining... instead of finding a way to (As Tim Gunn says) MAKE IT WORK.

I think what happened is they thought they were going to get Kyle back. The storyline was suppose to be some big ISA/kidnapping storyline between Brady and Chloe with Shawn or Philip thrown in for the triangle. When that didn't happen it was like WTF!!

Plus, it wasn't Higley's plan to bring back Chloe, she sort of inherited her. I also heard through the deers ears, as they say, that Higley does not like the character of Chloe, so this my dear is what we got. Horrible for the fans of Chloe and apparently for the actress herself. I love Nadia and I love that she told it like it is. They harassed her for years to come back to the show and then to do this to her. If she isn't released from the show, because of the budget constraints, then I definitely see her walking when her contract is up.

Thanks for the posting.

I hate the her character never evolved. I just pray that the writing gets better. The fans deserve it. I can't believe right now we only have 18 more months of this show.

EXCELLENT point.

That is the one big problem I have with Dena. It's pacing. She either moves too fast and needs to backtrack via filler or she goes too slow and has to accelerate way too fast at the middle or end, leaving out things. I think the writing team needs to help her with that too. Whitesell is there now and I think they all have to do a better job at pacing things because in October they moved this Sami stuff very fast. I mean, within a month she was into her maternity leave story. I really don't get that, especially when Ali wasn't being used a whole lot in the summer to begin with. You could've just limited her airtime for a bit and brought the witness protection angle out closer to the actual leave. I really do think Ali influenced this. The pregnancy, this whole story....except for the Nicole aspect it all came out of nowhere and went at a breakneck pace. It;s almost like Ali wanted out of working with who she was working with and just wanted Galen.

As for Nadia, I applaud her for saying what she said but it's no surprise. Her character's been tossed around because of all the upheaval, which is not all on Higley. Higley had a clear direction for Chloe. You could tell they were going with Phloe right up through May. Then Lucas/Chloe came out of nowhere. We also did hear that she was pretty much fired (hence why things seemed to end onscreen for her in early October and she went off for two weeks) so now there is a character on the canvas who is supposed to be gone but isn't. That is never good and that is why she continues to ping pong along, although it sounds like she has some stuff coming up.

I'm shocked she went ahead and said what she said but she did have a good career outside of Days so nothing to lose really. Maybe she wants out LOL. This did not seem like a ego trip though, which I appreciate. It seemed genuine. I just don't know if any of the brass will take it seriously given it's Nadia LOL.

Oh, and one more point...am I the only one who detected some obvious tension with Nadia and Ali? The way she said "Oh, he only gets to work with Ali" sounded very bitter. I really get the feeling some are pissed at Ali. Maybe it's just me but Ali doesn't seem to talk about any of her co-stars anymore except Galen.

Yeah, I'm not sure it was out of nowhere. I think it was from Ed Scott, who wanted Morgan to be in a romance with Philip. That's why we got Lucloe, and why we've been stuck with them ever since because apparently DH can't figure out how to undo this mess she's made.

Yeah. I got a catty vibe from that too.
