^ Too funny, lady! I was going to make a comment about that remembering the fuss about how PR thought she looked "off" but thought I should let it go lest I stir a nest.
Love your balls!!! :)

Interesting the Dee and Drake are gone, KA and PR take massive paycuts and others expect to be fired, yet AS is smiling and eating her pickles just loving her story and hefty check. No wonder she had to be isolated in her own story...it isn't about her pregnancy! Nobody can stand to look at her!!! ;)
Just speculation on my part!
That's how I'd feel at my office...
Well, if that is how they feel, which I don't believe they do, they are lousy people.

Ali has been with the show over 15 years straight, never left, which Dee, Peter and Kristian all did, some more than once, and even when Ali got this primetime gig she has still made it work so as to not leave Days in the lurch without her and still done several events to support the show despite also being pregnant.

Dena claims to have crafted Ali's story and others have confirmed it was done the way it was so that she wouldn't be off screen hardly at all during her maternity leave. Currently, Ali is doing double duty on the show filming scenes to air during her mat leave while still doing her regular scenes.

Ali is a real trooper and if she was asked to take a pay cut no one knows for sure she wouldn't do it.

Deidre also did two shows at once and was very happy doing so. DAYS didn't want to share her.

Sharongate, bitches!

Her contract was up in August, I guess they gave her an extension and decided not to renew when the extension was up.

Yep and the fact that it was done so quietly makes me think maybe they both learned then about it or at least that is where discussions over all this began.

This was not a mutual decision. They just knew for a while. Until NBC revealed Days was renewed.
Thanks for clarifying Hunter. I never believed for a moment it was 'mutual'. And it's neither here not there to me when they knew.
ITA, it is irrelevant. They were fired, end of story.

It's not "irrelevant" to be people who are interested in it. So it's not, "end of story."

If they announced they were fired before Days renewed it would have killed the soap's chances for survival. I say bravo to them, despite having to be pushed aside like an ugly stepchild. D&D put the show first. Good for them even if Days didn't do the same for them!
I damn sure wouldn't have done so, and I'd be speaking out on it now, but that is showing class and respect for the show, pity they don't get the same respect... after all they are just spokes in the wheel

I don't believe for one second that Drake and Deidre knew that they were going to get fired for months and didn't say anything. Please stop trying to put them on a pedestal as if they were martyers.

That's not what I heard. I heard they found out they were fired on November 5th.
