Thanks so much, Angie!

There really isn't one thing that is appealing to me.
Nicole is just bothering me with her insistance on hiding her pregnancy which is going to turn EJ off to her. I am tired of this already.

Sami is an idiot...and really not looking forward to more Sami/Rafe arguing.

Chloe/Daniel might be interesting, but I feel for Lucas. Can't anyone fall in love with him?

Brady and Melanie? Seriously? I do like me some Brady/Phillip action. Hubba!

And Chelsea BRADY and Max BRADY?? I didn't buy those two before, hadn't seen any chemistry all year, but now there is sexual tension? Whatever.

What happened to Nick?

Bo hitting his head and having visions of Theo? Seriously? I guess this is the quirky shit PR was talking about.
Well we can look at the bright side of the new Uncle/Niece loving... Chelsea won't have to change her last name if they make it to the altar ;)

Chelsea Brady-Brady

Can you begin to imagine the look on the priest's face as he conducts the ceremony. "Who here gives the bride away? The groom's brother? Ummm I am not so sure I can officiate this marriage."

Easy on the usher's though... they won't have to ask anyone which side of the family they are with.

I'm trying to watch, but these writers just have no understanding of relationships. It's not even a 'super' couple issue. These writers are just trying to build stories around triangles, not family, not friends, just random triangles, and when they don't work they change a pairing not realizing that lack of story, connecting with the characters is the problem.

Even in the glory days of the supercouple, the characters were not isolated in a little supercouple box. The couples cared about each other and family. They weren't little standalone stories. The relationships mattered. I thought the Stefano/Ej scene in today's show would've been exciting, but to me it was just a random scene. Interesting as an event, but it doesn't invest me as a whole. Who cares about Stefano and Ej being in trouble except Stefano and EJ? Nicole doesn't know Ej's in trouble, she's worried about covering up her miscarriage. Where's Tony? Give me some kind of connection between characters that should feel for each other. They've so missed the boat with this whole storyline. No one connects in any way that gives the stories meaning on a broader level. You don't invest in any couple anymore because everything about the show is so transient. What you see clearly today is completely gone the next.

The sad part is it COULD be there. The writers just don't know how to make it work. It's incredibly frustrating. I went from dreading my birthday to being anxious for it to get here so I can stop watching. I know it's too early to give up on a nice J&M ending, and I'm trying to be hopeful, but the more I watch what they are doing to everyone, I just don't think these writers understand relationships enough to get what a good ending is. I'm suspecting they'll reunite them on the 23rd and let us assume they have plane sex as they speed off into the sunset. I want emotion, resolution with family and friends, care, concern, love. The things these writers just don't seem to understand.

I completely agree, except I'm not trying to watch. I can't even hope for a good ending for John and Marlena because as you so eloquently put it... The writers just don't know how to make it work.

I want the same things. Emotion, friends, family, caring about each other, love, romance a little payoff now and then. No, they just don't get it, because if they did, we would be having an entirely different conversation. It's sad.

Bwahahaha.....imaging Nicole wrapping Theo up in a blanket and carrying him around. If John Black was the father, he would be dumb enough to believe it

^ It is quite ironic, given my lack of interest in what should have been my gift from DAYS - some good Christmas episodes amidst all the regular boring crap.

Unless major changes are made (i.e. Higley out on her non-talented hack ass with her boring as hell stories), 2009 is going to suck harder than a veteran porn star.

Thanks for posting, Angie!

How lovely, more Chloe/Daniel ickiness. Also, how delightful that once again the point of Philip and Stephanie interacting seems to be about how it affects Melanie, not them.

No idea what Roman and Marlena are seeing, unless the feelings EJ has for Sami are dislike and irritation--those are the only ones I've seen from him towards her in months and months. Those are certainly my feelings towards her.

At least I can look forward to Victor, and I'm interested in Philip's and Brady's conversations, first the truce and then the confrontation with Victor. That is definitely going to the highlight of the week for me, if not the only tolerable thing.
