As much as I respect the guild, these nominations are a fucking joke. If this is supposed to reflect talent in the writing arena of daytime television, there should be several other shows added to this category. And last I checked, even though Maria, Hogan, and Kay all went core, they are still card carrying, paying members of the Union. They just cannot vote in elections. Not that it really matters anyway. The WGA supported Lynn Latham despite the fact that she's a talentless hack bitch who was all about unfair labor practices within her guild(intimidating scribes into quitting and firing longtime veteran writers to hire those who were friends and loyalists) and outside of it(banning bottled water and pushing her liberal agenda onto them and the story). Say whatever we can about Hogan's ability to drive story and Paul's ability to produce the hell out of any material, but Maria and Billy saved this show and gave daytime at least another five years. I don't think she, or anyone else hired under her, should be judged for keeping their shows alive and keeping people working, especially when a legal option was exercised. |

LOL, the fi-core writers just got bitch slapped. They even left out the fi-core people from those two shows normal staff, like Jeannie Marie Grunwell. |

I think this is stupid. Holding back on other nominees because they are led by Fi-Core writers? Stupid. It's reasons like this the whole entertainment industry is going to hell. ATWT in no way deserves to be there. If it's any two, it's Y&R and OLTL. |

Fred Myers? Maybe they mean Fran Myers who is fi-core and was at OLTL...strange, maybe due to the typo she got listed. Thanks for this information. |

While on one hand I love that the fi-core writers got bitch slapped on the other hand I think its hypocritical of the WGA to do this. They have a mechanism in their organization that allows this so why punish the writers for doing it? |
