^^ Ditto. Love the categories!! And of course, loved the WORST CASTING DECISION IN HISTORY winner. I'd agree.

Oh, Nelson, the Todd and Marty story was never meant to be a romance. The whole time we were supposed to be repulsed and appalled. I used to hate the story (I still do hate that they actually had sex), but when we finally reached the payoff, it became clear to me what this story was all along: ironic psychological drama.

Think about it:

The one person Todd has hurt the most is the same person who has made Todd want to change for the better and reach redemption (even though he knows it's wrong), but in the end, Marty saw how vile and ugly Todd is (both on the inside, and symbolically on the outside after John beat him up). Now, the tables are going to turn on Todd in that the one person he's hurt more than anyone else will be the person to hurt him more than anything else.

Was it uncomfortable to watch? Of course. Did it go too far? Perhaps, that argument could certainly be made. But whether you loved or hated it, you can't deny that it had an impact on you. And that's what daytime dramas (or any dramas) are supposed to do.

Thank you for saying. Applause, applause.

And obviously I MUST give you props for Bitchy Bangs LOVE!

But I can only shake my head about Dorian's takeover of BE. I loved it. Though my bias for La Strasser could be why.

Dorian's takeover was orgasmic. That may actually be my favorite week of OLTL since I started watching in May.

I agree with alot. I'm with Mason on the Todd & Marty storyline. It's actually my favorite of the year. I never once thought of it as a romance storyline.

That's because Strasser is the QUEEN of daytime.

Oh, and loving Dena as worst Head Writer. If Days were the only soap, she'd still be the worst. Her lack of talent would exist in a vacuum.

Hey, Nelson, what happened to the most chemistry free couple category? Lucas & Chloe (DOOL) would have won that for sure!

I have to disagree with the Molly Burnett as worst casting or whatever. She was fine the first two weeks and she showed promise, but with the writing team that Days has.. who can really act their way out of that shithole? Aside from Ari Zucker, of course. It's disappointing that she's shown some pretty big acting chops over the past year, even under this Higley Reign of Doom.. it'd be wonderful to see what she could do under someone competent at the helm.

MOST IMPROVED ACTOR:
Drake Hogestyn (John, DAYS)

Are you serious? His acting is awful now compared to before.

For starters, DH finally gets humour and subtext now! I'd say that's an improvement.

He was BETTER when he began Days, I think. In fact, he was one of the recasts EVER but Days screwed that up FAST! LOL!

I agree that Drake's acting has improved this year. He said himself that he really enjoyed the acting classes he took last year. It's nice to see him get recognition for it!

In terms of recasts, lol - I know I'm disagreeing with many of my fellow J&M fans, but I never really saw him as Roman Brady. Not that Drake didn't do a good job - I think he was excellent and I like his acting style in those years. But I liked the "John Black" character-without-a-past without having to bring Roman into the picture. Marlena could have just fallen for the new guy in town, and when she and Roman came back from the dead, she still would have been torn.

And know what Drake's first airdate was? January 24th, 1986. Kinda scary, huh?
