I love MAB. If every head writer had the same passion and dedication to producing quality work as she does, soaps could be doing so much better.

You Go MAB!
And that is the key to her success.

Too bad Hogan could've had the same chance at Days to get the job done. :hmmph: .

Good interview, Nelson.

I was just about to quote that myself! You go MAB! When you learned at the feet of the master, you don't need anyone else telling you how to do it. Daytime needs about 7 more of MAB's to save this genre!!!

Maria is one of the smartest people in daytime television. She knows the industry, she has the utmost respect for it and the audience, and she(along with her writing team) have delivered. Rauch being on board has allowed Y&R to find it's technical groove again and therefore, has made Y&R into this beautiful masterpiece.

I knew from the get-go Y&R recovery would be slow. Y&R had to build itself back into the smart, sexy soap it was in its heydey and as far as I'm concerned, this year, no matter how you feel about it, was absolutely necessary. The pacing, the slow stories...those are all Y&R trademarks. It feels so great to see Y&R where it needs to be, on-top not only in the Nielsens, but everywhere else.

If people cared half as much about daytime as the Bells, maybe this genre wouldn't be down to eight shows.

Loved the interview, Nelson!

This part cracked me up at the beginning though...

Secondly, she does this silly thing like respect the fans, along with honouring her show’s history by entertaining viewers with intelligent, emotional, and romantic epic tales that resonate for any demographic.

I know, right? It’s really sick and twisted, non?
