and I maintain they got a little bump because of the publicity. Again, I'm saying generally, because that is when there little bump in the ratings started. Maybe they'll hang on, who knows. Maybe this is what the general audience wants to see. This may be the first time I don't agree with the general audience. I tend to like the show when the ratings are doing well. Not this time. |

Saying the ratings suck isn't being negative. It's stating a fact. And it's true for all soaps, not just DAYS. |

I'm hoping the Christmas episodes for DAYS help the ratings somewhat. The traditions are always wonderful to watch, although I'm not seeing much of anything good yet. |

I think DAYS really deserves these bumps. It is really a fun show to watch lately for me. It might not be action-packed, riveting drama, but there are great little interactions and dialogue happening every day. I think it is in pretty good shape right now. |

I have to agree Mike DAYS is much easier to enjoy if you're not picking apart every single thing about the show LOL |

I agree! haha. It's also better when you have little marathons instead of watching day to day. haha |

That is the same mindset I've applied to Days since 2005, which was the one time in my over two decades of watching that I nearly tuned out. I just decided that things have changed and if you expect what you got a decade ago, you will just be setting yourself up for disappointment. Things change and shows change. It's always been that way and once I set myself to that, I found enjoyment on a daily basis. Losing the critical eye can help and that is probably why I've been Days' cheerleader for nearly 3 or so years LOL. I recently applied this mindset to other shows after summer because I was down on pretty much every show but Days and Y&R, which was in a rut too. Once I took that same mindset with other shows, I found enjoyment in all of them. Some more then others on a daily basis but I found myself escaping and just enjoying, which is what watching soaps and TV, in general, is about. Not to say criticism should be ignored but I think if you allow yourself to be too critical and to weigh what your seeing against what you got in the past, your setting yourself up for disappointment already. I also think King raises an interesting point about watching in a marathon. It has to make the flow better. You guys should post more. We need more positive energy besides me and a few others  . Edited by PhoenixRising05, Dec 26 2008, 01:05 PM.
