Love the 'translated quotes' - that's my favorite part! (And Peter Reckell's quote to SOD was pretty funny, I agree.)

Nelson, I thought roles could only be reprised on "sister shows", like B&B/Y&R. Is that incorrect?

The comment about Frances/Alice was disgusting.

I'm guessing the ATWT leading man who wants to leave is Roger Howarth. No one's stopping you, Rog!

Oh, get a sense of humour! Frances Reid will appreciate. She has quite the dirty mind. Don't assume older people aren't hip. You should check out her rainbow past. I wrote that to make her smile.

I agree. I mean, I hate to be a downer but that just bothered me

I love your column Nelson and I'm aware of Frances's sense of humor but that was a bit too much IMHO.

What's this about Chelsea skipping town? Where did that come from? I didn't see that in any spoilers for the next few weeks.

Paulo is great but that isn't enough to get me back into enjoying ATWT.

AMC is getting better and better IMO.

Nelson, I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. It was obviously just a joke. Just keep on being your hilarious self!

Same here, people really can be way too sensitive sometimes.

My editor screwed the Chelsea jab incorrectly — it's fixed now. I suggested she leave town. Plus, I updated Suds with big Daniel Goddard news.

Also, Sally Field appeared on the cover of Playboy — there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I'm in talks, too.... LOL!

I was skimming the Days section as the show's a piece of shit and I choked on my pepsi when I read the Reid line, before I saw the rest. LOL.

Ah...ok, Nelson. I was wondering because I read nothing about Chelsea leaving.

I usually don't mind things like that but the part about Alice feeling up Tom's Christmas balls was just too much. I know it's meant to be tongue in cheek but it just seems inappropriate to me but to each their own.

I still enjoy the column, Nelson. .

Not sure because enough people have said that she wasn't up for appearing. Maybe it means she's not in horrible condition, just not good enough to come in, as has been the case this whole year.

It's been said in the mags how she was written into at least 5 shows this year and also the Christmas show but was unable to make it so I don't think it's the show's fault.

Re: Reid — oh, I see what you're talking about — Tom's Xmas balls. Yeah, maybe that was gross, but he was her husband! LOL!

As for Reid's absence.... there must be a story there, don't you think? If they said she wasn't ill.... Dena probably doesn't know Alice is still alive! LOL!

Not really.

Peter Reckell spoke in an interview in March. Alice was written into an episode when Bo was dying and couldn't come in. Peter said she was unable to. It was also said was written into several other episodes to, including July 4th, but was unable to. Peter talked about the Christmas episode in the new SOD and said she didn't feel up to it. Jason47 confirmed that too.

If there was more to it, why does the show keep trying to involve her? I don't think there is more to it at all. She may not be deathly sick (and thank God for that) which might be what they are telling you but I do think she's in a situation where she just isn't able to get to the studio unless she's really feeling well.

Nah, I prefer to irrationally hate and loathe Dena Higley as the bringer of the soap apocalypse. :-P

It just makes me feel better.

^Well, that's fine but I doubt she left Alice out, intentionally or unintentionally.

Hell, even if she did, the cast and Corday would ensure that act got vetoed LOL. One thing about Days is they will never screw over Frances Reid, no matter how incompetent they might be. I don't think her absence can be pinned on them at all, especially since they are actually at Alice's house with Maggie, Doug, Julie, etc there. I don't think they forgot Alice at all. Hell, Maggie even mentioned her today and how she was making cookies with Ciara and Allie for the party at Alice's.

If she isn't in the episode, it's for a good reason and her choice, as has been the case all year when they've had material for her but she was unable to come in.
