2008 Episode Rankings Notes: James Scott (EJ) led the 2008 episode rankings. It was his first time to lead "Days" in episode appearances, having finished second in 2007. Drake Hogestyn (John) was on the list for a record 22nd time. Since joining the show in 1986, Hogestyn has been on the list for all but one year (2007). Shawn Christian (Daniel), a "Days" rookie who joined the cast in March, made the list in 15th place. Darin Brooks (Max) and Shelley Hennig (Stephanie) made it into the top 10 for the first time ever, with their previous highest ranking in 2007 (tied for 15th). "Days" veterans Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Deidre Hall (Marlena) and Peter Reckell (Bo) each made the list for the 19th time (since records began being kept in 1983). Hall may have also made the list from 1977-1982, which could make this her 25th time overall on the top 15 list. Since joining the show in 1993, Alison Sweeney (Sami) made the list for the 15th time in 16 years (missing the list only in 2001). Mary Beth Evans (Kayla) made the list for the 8th time; Arianne Zucker (Nicole) for the 7th time; Jay Johnson (Philip) and Renee Jones (Lexie) for the 5th time; Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) for the 4th time; and Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) for the 3rd time.
