No more Night Shift? WTF

Were season two's ratings that bad?

Darin Brooks landed a staring role on a new sitcom? I'll have to write myself a reminder NOT to watch. Hopefully he doesn't have enough time for DAYS and leaves *crosses fingers*

I will have to agree with you, Nelson, about Ari Zucker. Right now, the baby storyline is getting old, but she's still hanging in there.
I'm with you, Mason, about Ray Montez. I was so excited about A coming back, but.......And, yes, Nelson, OLTL's Christmas was awesome.
The Blind Item? I don't know much bout 'nutting, but could it be Kim Zimmer (on the second one?)

I might actually watch Darin. Sometimes, actors who leave Days do a BETTER job on their new shows.

Oh and Nelson you made me squeal like a school girl only to have my hopes dashed all in 3 seconds.

When I saw "Guiding Light -- Ray of Light" I thought I was going to read that Michelle Ray Smith was returning for good.

You got a point.

Austin Peck is a prime example. He was horrible on DAYS and he's actually good on ATWT

Wow...Greenlee dying via cliff? Can you say redundant? LOL. I'm happy for MW. I like her on AMC. Not surprised they were close to canceling AMC. I think the numbers from the tornado and after disappointed them. I have to wonder if maybe Frons was waiting to see if Days was available and thinking of pulling AMC for Days considering what Days is doing right now. He may have felt Days had a better chance then AMC. Either that or maybe he thought Days being canned would help him justify canning AMC. One or the other but I can see it either way.

I'm glad Bryan is staying and I just wish the cuts would be announced already. Enough of the BS, Days. I like the baby story but it is dragging. Just glad it's finally moving in the coming weeks. Ari is really doing a wonderful job. I think Darin is talented but I think they've just wasted him. The Max/Trent stuff has potential but it was gutted. Darin also seems in his element when he has his goofy charm going. They never seem to have a direction for him. In a way, I wish he would leave but I don't want him too either LOL.

Couldn't agree more about the Robin/Patrick wedding. It was great and I've been loving GH the past few weeks.

WTF?! No Nightshift? Why? Because they noticed people saying it was better then GH? Ugh. I hope Sri Rao gets a job because he proved his worth IMO.

I will miss Driscoll.

Glad about Alderson. I'm interested in the upcoming high school story. I also have to say agree that Ron is fantastic at montages and holiday/special episodes. He and Hogan Sheffer share that talent. Hate that Ray is staying. I love A but Ray sucks LOL.

Recast Dru? Hellls No! Just bring back Victoria, or keep the character off canvas.

Is Soap Opera Weekly smoking crack? The magazine named Ronn Moss (Ridge) their Performer of the Week for his stellar work during Phoebe’s death. Don’t bother checking the calendar — it’s not April Fool’s Day.
Not to sound like one of those fanboys that defends everything about his favorite show, but Ronn Moss can deliver when he's given good direction and good material. SOW's praise of him during Phoebe's death was undeserved though. His performance was melodramatic and forced.

Speculation alert: Emmy-winner Tom Pelphrey tells Soap Opera Digest he’s moving back to LA in January to test the employment waters. With a possible SAG strike on the horizon, could now be the perfect time for GH to seduce the Emmy-winner into playing Sonny’s son, Dante? Don’t wet your pants just yet — Digest quotes an insider who maintains GH is still interested in casting Emmy-winner David Lago (ex-Raul, Y&R) as Dante. But maybe this is the same GH insider who advised the magazine Natalia Livingston wasn’t re-signing a new role with GH, even after daytimeconfidential.com broke the news eons ago.
If he really wants the work in primetime, he'll just book an AFTRA show. Most of these networks are developing AFTRA-based pilots in response to a possible SAG walkout. However, I too, am hoping Pelphrey swallows his pride and comes to GH as Sonny's son. He'd be the only reason I'd watch that show.

The Suds Report is shocked to learn ABC was seriously thisclose to canceling AMC. Real close. Scary close. Was ABC waiting to see if NBC renewed Days before it picked up AMC? That’s the question everyone’s asking.
Didn't Frons admit when he first started at ABC that he only watched OLTL and GH? LOL. The tide has turned and AMC is now officially the red-headed stepchild of ABC Daytime. It wouldn't surprise me if Frons wanted DAYS on ABC Daytime. Thinking about this recently, I wonder if ABC Daytime might try to make a play for top rated Y&R when their CBS Licensing agreement is up(which I believe it is in 2009). It doesn't mean that ABC will be successful in their acquisition, but having daytime's #1 show on SOAPnet(which is their highest-rated soap opera) must have Frons wondering how he can steal the show from CBS, in an effort to boost his sagging lineup.

Holy crapness! That gives me hope that DAYS can live on after NBC. I can't believe AMC is going to get canceled before OLTL. What is this world coming to!

For the one blind item regarding the diva...I'll go with Kim Zimmer!

Oh and I have to disagree about the Ari Zuker being the only bright spot of the storyline. Although she is f-ing awesome, I am enjoying everyone in the storyline - her, Scott, and Martsolf! I am so over baby switches and fake pregnancies, but I am really enjoying this.

Of course, she isn't hurting things, but I don't think she is carrying it either.

I love DAYS right now!

Why was the ATWT episode so bad? LOL.

Maybe OLTL is cheaper to produce than AMC (although you'd never know it to look at AMC).

LoL, so true. Although I'm sure Nadia Bjorlin could manage to get him a job on DAYS (puke). I think they're like BFFs. Kind of fitting actually, LoL. All beauty and no talent.

I liked Reichen way back when he was on TAR, but that doesn't mean he can act. Someone's sexuality doesn't make me like them more or less in a romantic pairing.

The AMC stuff is beyond shocking.

Bummed about no more Night Shift, I hope season 2 comes out on DVD with special features. That would be the least they could do.

the only thing I could maybe see is the shows not wanting the tabloid press surrounding their shows, which someone like Reichen on a full time basis could attract if he was on fulltime. I know they embrace it in the UK, but the US shows are much more conservative and are constantly worried about offending special interest groups - so the who's fucking who antics backstage wouldnt be something they'd want a spotlight on.

I have nothing against Reichen, but when ppl cry about any type of discrimination to blame for their lack or work, I have to take it with a grain of salt.

Colby Donaldson tried to break into daytime, and only worked briefly. I think it's more of a discrimination against reality stars with no acting ability.

Expect big things for McKenzie Westmore. The former Passions leading-lady has a big storyline in the works as the mysterious Dr. Sinclair. Seems the newcomer shares a tie to another Pine Valley resident! Guess who?

Well since they can undo an abortion, Maybe she's the miscarried child Erica had with Phillip.
