What rumors of marriage problems? Are you talking about Nelson's blind items from a few days back? He said that the couple in question were a married couple that were talking about divorcing again. Kyle Lowder and Arianne Zucker never divorced the first time. I doubt there's anything wrong in their marraige. you are correct - but he said they were talking about divorcing again. They could have talked about divorcing before and now they are talking about divorcing again.... the key word is talk!

What's really sad is that I don't even care who it is. I'm just so numb to anything this show does casting-wise anymore. At this point, it would really take A LOT to get a strong reaction from me.

Well, just tossing it out there because I had actually heard rumors on other boards about Kyle and Ari before Nelson posted the BI.
I'm not caught up in the terminology either because it could still be them. No one knows for sure but I just tossed it out there as a possible reason for why the show directed NaVell to her manager.

Ari said in an interview they discussed divorce. Even so, Drew is right in that it's just speculation. I just tossed it out there as maybe something that could be a piece to the puzzle.

Let's get to it so the show can move on and we all can just get past it. I think we all are geared toward expecting the worst just in case anyway LOL.

Tim, you know you never think of the "worst" when it comes to DAYS. :tounge: True but that doesn't mean I like or agree with everything.
There is just enough people to point out the bad so why do I need to?
Even if it's bad news, I will find a way to get by and deal, as always LOL.

why would a publicity office for a TV show, where an actress works, passes on said actress to do publicity yet has the interviewer go through a manager/agent? Because the publicist for the show quit and left at the christmas break, and the person now handling that job is an incompetent twit? :tounge:

Well hold on a tic. Some of the Days actors do go through their managers or publicists and not the show - Jim Reynolds is one of them.
But then again, why would Days tell Navvy no to an interview with Ari and then turn around and tell him to contact her manager? Why not just say Ari goes through her manager for publicity?
Yikes.
Could her personal life somehow play here? Sorry if that is a stupid question but there are rumors of her having marital trouble. NaVell, did they turn around and direct you to her manager immediately after saying no or did they say no in one call or email and suggest contacting her manager in another? I think that may make a difference because it's strange if they say no and then immediately suggest talking to her agent. That makes it sound like something is up unless the show just got confused on how she should or preferred to be reached. This was IMMEDIATELY after DAYS said no. It was in the same e-mail.

OK....this is just a theory...and HOPE this is not true....but something weird happened today when I read my e-mail.
I sent a request to do an interview w/ Ari Zuker for the show. Much to my surprise(NOT), the DAYS publicity office passed on it. HOWEVER, they re-routed me to go through her manager instead to do this interview!
Ok...now I am gonna go off on a limb here and say this...why would a publicity office for a TV show, where an actress works, passes on said actress to do publicity yet has the interviewer go through a manager/agent?
This is when someone I was speaking w/ on AIM made the suggestion/suspicion that it COULD be Ari for that reason. For the sake of argument, IF Ari were to be let go from the show, then yes, I would get routed to the manager for interviews. But, if they are still a part of the show, I would never get routed to the manager at all. Publicity offices are flippant on that front.
Nelson...you better find out something QUICK! Ok, this is along the same thought I had last night. Nelson said that "this was nothing to be happy about". Now, for Nelson to not be happy about it, it would make me think it related to one of his favs. Who is his most notable fav on Days.................I would say probably Ari. Now, this is just my thinking, Nelson may feel totally different about who his fav is, but I do think many would be unhappy if Ari were to leave. For myself, I feel like I've been overexposed to her, BUT that does NOT mean I want her to go.
I'm with Phoenix and cj..........I'm just ready to rip off the bandaid................whoever it is.

If Ari Zucker is really the suspected one who was let go, then DAYS is really hopeless.
Ari is such a badass on-screen. She's a good actress, very attractive, and really gracious to her fans and to DAYS.
I want to believe this was a Dena decision. Nicole is a textbook Tomlin/Whitesell character. She schemes, she's melodramatic, and gets herself into all kinds of trouble. Why Tomlin would get rid of a character and actress that fits his formula so well is anyone's guess.
They want to focus on younger character, and although Ari is far from 22, she's still viable, IMO. And why would they get rid of a character who has been pretty much front and center for the last few months with this EJ and the baby crap?
I feel kinda bad for DAYS fans.

I feel kinda bad for DAYS fans. I would be utterly shocked it it is Ari I would think Ali leaving would be less shocking. I still think that they are going to break up the supercouples I think they will let 1/2 of the supercouple go. I think they will keep Stephan and keep Kristen. They are vets there will be money saved there, it would open up new storylines for the remaining half it would torque people off but they will still watch because half of their supercouple is still there and they will watched yelling at the screen but they will watch.
I think if they let go MBE and Peter then most of the viewers will be sad about this.

That´s too big kind of news to keep it under wrap. Besides, I doubt she would be so adamant. She was very happy the show asked her to return and she got a chance to shine like never before, especially after the humiating end of her last run when Reilly almost put her together with Roman.
As for PR/KA, they are IMO very safe. They are the signature couple of the show and they are universaly liked. And both already agreed with any cuts necessary so the show still can afford them.

I doubt it. But I would have fired them if I were given the mandate to slash the talent budget.
The only one of the big four I would have kept would have been Dee Hall. As divided as the daytime community is about Dee(one half loves Dee, the other can't stand her), they are pretty much building the show around Sami and her love interests. Dee could pretty much be a more matriarchal figure, kind of like Ada/Rachel, Mona/Erica, etc.
Give Bo/Hope fans their happy ending instead of keeping them in backburner hell. And push John Black off a cliff again.

I really hope it's not Arianne leaving. I must admit I wasn't the biggest Nicole fan during her first run. When they announced she was returning I was meh about it. But I've totally changed on Nicole. Arianne has been amazing during her 2nd run.
