Adam was by far the best again. Awesome, awesome on "Whole Lotta Love". Says a lot that Led Zeppelin allowed Adam to sing it. Allison by far the next. Awesome. These 2 should be the final 2. Danny was horrible on "Dream On" and agree sung louder on "Renegade" with Kris just to drown out Kris. I think Danny's become a cocky bastard. I hope Danny gets in the Bottom 3 (2) for the first time and that the first time will also be his last time and that he goes home FINALLY! |

 :blah: It's called ROCK N ROLL! Sorry if you don't like rock. Adam's byfar the most brilliant, awesome singer and performer on the show, and IMHO, the best man ever (and I love Chris Daughtry and David Cook). Adam's no drag queen on IDOL and doesn't even come through much as gay on the show. Those people I know that don't know he's gay sure haven't been able to tell and those I've told that he is have been surprised. I know that if he does not win, I will quit watching this show. |

Because Simon knows music. Adam was singing fucking rock. Danny was just screaming. Steven Tyler just bitch slap him! |

Please, please, please. Don't talk to me like I don't know music. I'm not a vocal student and you're not my teacher. I know what Rock 'n Roll is. Just because something is rock doesn't mean it's good. There are many rockers I absolutely love, and there are also rockers I can't stand at all. It all comes down to personal preference. It annoys me how so many Adam fans act like anyone who doesn't like him is a complete idiot who doesn't know good music. The opinion that he's good is just that -- an opinion. Not a fact. As for Adam being gay, I don't know if your gaydar is broken or what, but I knew he was gay before he even opened his mouth to sing during the auditions, LoL. |

Exactly. There isn't a comparison there. Danny's screaming was HORRIBLE. I wasn't that happy with the show tonight because I wasn't crazy about the song choices. My favorite was probably the Adam/Alison duet. |

Why would I pick Allison? The underdog usually win. Let's take a look back: Season 1: Tamyra was favorite. Kelly won. Kelly came from behind. Season 2: Clay was favorite (gag me). Ruben won Season 3: I dunno. Didn't really care for it. I'd say Fantasia was probably the favorite because everyone else sucked besides the Divas. Season 4: I dunno who was really the odds on favorite. I know Bo had a lot of praise but I personally think Carrie was the chosen one, at least compared to Savol, Anthony and Vonzell. Season 5: I know Taylor had a lot of buzz but Katharine was better. So I'd say Taylor was the surprise win. Season 6: Jordin definitely came from behind to win. Blake and Melinda were definitely favorites. Season 7: I think Archuleta was probably the pick and Cook came from behind. So ... overall, the "come from behind" has typically won. I was personally very happy with the results of S1, 4, 6 & 7. I didn't really care for S2 or S3. S5 was meh. So, will my theory hold true? I hope so. I think Adam will do fine without winning. Allison just fits the critera. I mean, when you really think about it ... Allison or Kris are the typical come from behind winners we've usually gotten. Of course, this season could prove it wrong. My prediction to go tomorrow: Danny Edited by KMan101, May 5 2009, 09:34 PM.

Did Kelly come from behind? Even though she wasn't featured much in the auditions she was never in the bottom 3 and was always a strong performer. |

But Adam is the underdog to most people this season, IMO. Danny was the original chosen one. Like Cook last tear, Adam came along to steal all the momentum from TCO. As for Kelly and Carrie, Nigel Lythgoe did an interview this week in which he revealed that they both had the highest votes from the start of their seasons to the very end. I wouldn't call them underdogs. Also, Allison has been in the Bottom 3 multiple times. Kelly and Carrie never were. I'm not sure about the other winners. Don't get me wrong, I would love your prediction to come true. I just don't see it happening. |

I always remember people being surprised Kelly "came out of nowhere" but that could of been DURING the competition and not necessarily in the finals. I know Tamyra was the favorite. Between Justin and Kelly though? Kelly hands down. I dunno, I feel good in my prediction, regardless. If I'm wrong, oh well, haha |

Kenny, love you, but how is Adam the underdog? He could mass murder the entire Idol audience and the judges would crap their pants with how good he just was and well ... he's got great vocals, but he's too over the top. Well, I never said Carrie was the underdog. Maybe I should rephrahse ... we've had "come from behind" winners, at least how it's presented. As "good" as it would be to see Adam, the more pleasing overall win would be that of Kris or Allison and I think Allison's got the best chance. Let's be honest, would we all really have been happy to see Bo Bice win? Blake win? Archie win? Meh. The others were far better and have proved that. I'll stand by my prediction. LoL. |

I see what your saying, KMan. I believe we all discussed this several weeks ago. However, in regards to seasons 6 and 7, Jordin Sparks and David Cook did come from behind but by the time they reached top 5 they were favorites. Alison is still not really a favorite. At times, I felt she may be and, as I said, I'm feeling like maybe the show likes the idea of an Adam and Alison final two now, but the judges don't seem to reflect that. Kara is really the only one who mentioned Alison and the word "finals" in the same sentence. I agree with Kenny in that Kelly was not really an underdog. That season it was so hard to tell though. The only time I got an "underdog" feel from her was on finale night because Justin Guarini had such a wide fanbase. Carrie dominated from start to finish. Bo had about 3-4 weeks of solid momentum that year where I felt he may be able to do it. The other seasons (except season 2 where Ruben, the favorite, one) each had someone that came out of nowhere to take it so the theory is a solid one but it's not something that has happened each year. By the way, someone on DialIdol has developed a new system that has proven to be accurate. Here is the link: http://www.dialidol.com/asp/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7480 To check the accuracy and the system's past results, just click on the link in the first post of the thread and find the topic where all the results are and you will see that this system has been much better then DialIdol's this year. It even predicted Adam in the bottom two last week. This week, it has Danny Gokey going home. |

LOL about Adam. Danny and Adam were equal to start and then it seemed like it was Kris and Adam for awhile, although they still praised Danny. Last week, the Danny heavy duty pimp parade came back and Kris seemed to lose all momentum. I think Alison is the only one that I would feel emotional about winning at this point. I don't mind Adam. Kris is ok. Danny, I can't stand. Alison is the one for me and I hope your right, Kman. I really do. She has to get to the finale first though. |

LoL! He was more of an underdog earlier in the competition, back when the judges were all about Danny. Everyone knew he had a voice, but it was Danny who got all the glory. |

You may want to keep checking it all night because the person who runs it is going to be updating every half hour or so it seems. Plus, we still have the west coast and, in the past, the west coast seems to have favored Kris and Alison a bit more then Danny. The sense I got from the show tonight was that they were gunning for Kris and maybe Danny. I mean, why else would they show the worst part (that hideous scream) of Danny's performance and the whole thing with the solos following the duets reeked of sabotage. Everything with those two was a mess so I really think the show set the stage for one or the other to go. |

Oh, well yeah Kenny, that's true. I literally gagged everytime the judges fell all over themselves praising Danny. I always felt he's been overrated the entire season. He's had one or two good performances, but overall, he's just not that good. He's just lucky there were others who came off worse. And to be fair, Adam was in the bottom two, and Allison has also been there. Danny hasn't (although he will be this week). Kris has. So they all have been so, IMO, this competition is much more wide open than it was a few weeks ago when I begrudgingly started thinking Danny and Adam would be in the finals. Now ... I think Adam will be but I think if Allison nails it from here on out, she can win. |

Something changed after the double elimination. I feel like the tide shifted dramatically. I always felt like if Alison survived top 5 week, she had a shot at the finale, mostly because of rock week because I felt rock week could pick off Danny. If Danny leaves, I think that spot is all Alison's because I don't think the show will want Kris in there. Alison and Adam makes for a better finale. I've been saying that Alison has followed a similar path to Katherine McPhee's. Katherine was in the bottom 3 or 2 numerous times in season 5, most notably top 4 week with Chris Daughtry and he ended up going home. She made it to the finale. I've been thinking about how ironic it would be if Danny and Alison were bottom two this week with Danny going because that would be eerily similar LOL. Obviously, I hope Alison is completely safe. Also, let's remember Ruben was in the bottom 2 once in the season he won. Fantastic was in the bottom 2 TWICE and she won. I think Bo was in the bottom two once in season 4. It all depends on how things play out, really. I really hope Danny goes. I really do. |

I think Danny will go. I'm with Tim on the Season 5 comparison. They could throw Allison in the bottom with Danny for the "shocker". Because, really, would Kris and Danny in the bottom be a shocker? Not really. They were the worst tonight, and I love Kris. Although in Season 5, the over the top, hyped, couldn't seem to do wrong Taylor won over the vocally better but often criticized Katharine. I dread that happening again this season. I just want to see Simon's face when he won't get his chosen finale. I've never seen him so blatantly obvious with who he wants. I think he's let that get in the way of his criticism. I usually agree with him, but his comments to Kris and Allison tonight really irritated me. And watching Allison and Adam duet? I just saw finale written all over it. |
