Coincidentally, I know someone who was in the rehearsal audience! The two incidents were separate - one after the other.

First, the leg. Later, the globe, which caused the rehearsal to end since they couldn't take any chances on contestants/audience getting hurt. Very random, yes! And, my friend said the globe didn't explode - just fell off the rotation and shattered a couple of lights or something.

As for the show, I am in the minority. I liked Danny, and I did not like Allison. Kris is blah. Adam was good! :) IMO, of course!

Wow...that is something, King.

I was thinking the incidents had to be connected. Talk about a freaky day at the Idol set. I just hope that Debbie, the stage manager, is ok and I'm glad that it wasn't as bad as it could've been. Imagine if that happened while the show was on air. It could've been so much worse.

A little Idol related news

Constantine Maroulis on his Tony nomination: 'It's very surreal'

The cast of Broadway's Rock of Ages have reason to break out the Aqua Net and Long Island Iced Teas tonight: The 1980s rock spectacular garnered a whopping five Tony nominations today. But the musical's nominated star, Constantine Maroulis, is staying humble amid all the accolades. "[I was] very surprised," Maroulis, the first American Idol alum ever to nab a Tony nom, tells EW. "I [popped] up around 8:33 or so this morning to turn on the TV, and they were on my category right there. And sure enough, they mentioned my name. It's very surreal."

Perhaps more surreal for Maroulis is the mainstream success of the hair-metal-centric musical. The actor, who starred in the Off Broadway version as well, says he remembers discussing the play in its early form four years ago in an L.A. bar (he wasn't able to appear in Rock's early variations, due to his post-Idol obligations). And Rock is poised to get even an bigger audience: Rights to the musical were optioned by New Line in December. Maroulis, however, isn't ready to write his Oscar speech just yet. "I'm not a movie star," he says. "I'll probably sing the track for Zac Efron or something and he'll play the role. I'll pull a Natalie Wood, where I just get to sing the track for him."

Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical
David Alvarez, Trent Kowalik, and Kiril Kulish, Billy Elliot, The Musical
Gavin Creel, Hair
Brian d’Arcy James, Shrek The Musical
Constantine Maroulis, Rock of Ages
J. Robert Spencer, Next to Normal

Danny really should be the one to go. I hope he is at least in the bottom two, maybe it will take him down a peg or two.

Totally. I don't think he even knows what the word "duet" means. I think he mistook it for "duel." His performance with Kris wasn't meant to be a sing-off. It was supposed to be a duet with both of their voices complimenting each other. Even Adam didn't have the balls to completely devour Allison's vocals during their duet. Everybody knows that Kris has a soft singing voice and Danny swallowed that song whole. I'm still pissed about it, LoL.

Just keeping it real (like Randy I guess)

Adam and Allison were awesome in their duet.

Adam did his thing - he was in his element, I'm surprised he didn't smash something or bite the head off a bat.

Danny and Kris looked like two worship leaders way out of their element! - I thought their duet was really good and I actually thought that Danny held back. Kris just doesn't have a rock voice and it would have gotten lost with any of them.

Allison didn't bring it like I thought she would - wrong song choice I think!

Still hoping that Adam gets kicked off the Island so he can return to the fantasy world of Broadway Musicals - he would be stellar at that. Shrieking across the airwaves on most radio stations - not so much!

I think actually the only really commercial artist left would be Kris. Adam is too far out and his fanbase would be limited, Danny his voice while fantastic I don't think he would translate into being too marketable. Allison would be another Jordan Sparks - too young and just perhaps too rocky.

I think if either Kris or Danny are voted off - the one who doesn't could actually win this thing. I think they split a certain fanbase right now and if they don't have to share and if those voters shift and start voting for the one still left then Adam may have a run for his money!

Ok, so as I expected, last night pissed me off to no end. I was thrilled (at first) to see that Adam was performing first, since I didn't have to sit through it because I was putting my boys to bed. I heard it though, all the way upstairs (Ugh). I still hate him. I thought Allison was really good. I enjoyed her performance, and I loved her sassing Simon. Kris and Danny duet was pretty decent, I agreed with the judges that their harmonies made the song, while their solos flailed a bit. I didn't think Danny was trying to outsing Kris, I think Kris's voice is just naturally softer and he couldn't match Danny. Kris's solo, I liked. I thought it was a tad boring, but I think he did a good job. I hated Danny's solo, and I love Danny. I knew when they showed the scream in the rehearsal that it was going to be bad, and it made me so sad. I can't really blame Danny for thinking that was what he needed to do during rock week, considering how much ass-licking Adam gets for doing it every God damn week. I did vote for the full two hours straight for Danny, because I was worried for him. I had my mom on her cell voting for Kris and Allison, while I voted for Danny on mine. I thought the duet between Adam and Allison was pretty good, except of course, when Adam got to solo in it and of course, screeched. Someone make him go away. Please.
The judges pissed me off more then ever last night. I could have smacked Simon. Just get up on the stage and sck Adam's dick while you're at it, why don't you? You and Kara can take turns ...

As I suspected it, I hated last show. I don't like rock and I don't like when people kiss Adam's ass and well .. this episode was full of both those things.

And please lets never have Adam go first again, because I don't wanna listen to everyone compare all the contestants to God's gift to music, apparently. Lets have him always sing last when there is no time to comment, so that I don't have to listen to Kara, Paula, Randy and Simon cum after his performance.

I don't think I have ever seen such favoritism on a reality show from the judges. EVER! On ANY SHOW!

I loved Alison and was pretty surprised that they didn't like her. And I loved it when Alison told Kara off about how Piece of my heart was sang hundred times.

Kris and Danny were great when singing together, but I agree, not great in solo parts.

Kris' solo was nothing special. Don't like that song.

Danny's was so bad. I usually love Danny and I am not one of his bashers, but this was bad.

Now I wish Adam would go out, not because I don't like him, but simply because I wanna see Kara and Paula cry when he's voted off.

I bet Paula felt like a fool for dancing like that when he got to the last note, LoL.
That truly was horrible  .

Not since Megan earlier this year has anyone destroyed a song like that. That should be enough to send him home but it won't. His fanbase is too strong and it reminds alot of Taylor's fanbase where people make excuses even when he is bad. That is what I've seen in several places since last night. People are like "Well, it was rock week and he did what he thought would work or tried to channel Adam." Well, Kris was at just as big a disadvantage as Adam and he didn't resort to that shit. Granted, Kris had an off night too but he didn't try to do something stupid or that completely wrecked a song. That duet started off ok but completely tanked the minute Mr. Ego took over and tried to outsing Kris, resulting in Kris trying to oversing and that made him sound awful. The whole thing became a mess. Ugh.

I'm already accepted the fact that Danny will get through tonight. That guy on DialIdol whose system I linked to has Kris leaving. My hope is that if Danny is in the bottom two like his system says, that he will not be shown in the bottom 2 because the last thing we need is his rabid fanbase voting him through next week. I hope they stick Alison with Kris to try to pump her votes up even more. Also, I would like Kris fans to shift to Alison, especially after last night's disgusting display. Adam won't need the help but she will if she gets through tonight.

I think the show feels the more suspenseful finale is Danny, Alison, and Adam anyway. They seemed to indicate wanting that last night despite Simon and co opening their mouths about how Kris was going to be in the top 3. I suspect they didn't want to chance Kris cutting in to Adam and/or Danny's fanbases and losing one or both of them so they push for Alison. I hope everything is wrong and Danny does go but, if not, then I will be voting like hell for Alison next week. I would hope Idol would realize Adam/Alison would be the best finale and would leave them with the best and most commercial artists but I won't hold my breath.

Oh, and congrats to Constantine. Broadway seems to be his calling.

I don't know, guys. Allison was not good. LOL. Her solo was sooo screeeeechy. Also, when she opens her mouth she is a total moron. She sings way above and beyond her age, but when she opens her mouth, she is a stupid, little tween. I can't stand when she talks. LOL. Going back to week 1....

I am really ready for her to go home and get out of my face. LOL.

I used to like her, but...

Wow...you are really in the minority, King. Not just on this board but overall LOL.

Obviously, I disagree. I didn't hear or see her screeching. I've never heard her once do that. I think it's even hard to do that with her voice because of it's tone. Danny was the big, off key screecher of the night LOL. That performance should send his ass home on top of the shit he pulled in the duet.

That's ok, though. I want Danny out just as much as you want Alison so I can understand how it feels to want one of these people gone BIG TIME  .

Matt, Kris, and Allison were my favs when this was starting out.

But Adam and Danny are clearly the most deserving F2. IMO. They've given the most flawless performances all season. If they were the F2, I really wouldn't care who wins.

Oh, and I do think last night was probably Danny's worst performance of the season. But I still think his worst is better than Allison or Kris' best.

Allison peaked with "Alone" by heart in the Semi's for me.

I didn't think Danny's whole performance was bad, but the last note was enough to tank the whole performance.

Hope he stays though!

Perhaps to even the playing field that they should have have songs from the Michel W. Smith songbook or Casting Crowns songbook next week! That would put both Kris and Danny in their comfort zone if both make it thru!
