For anyone who lives in or near Milwaukee, here's the schedule for Dorky Gorkey's homecoming. I can't find a schedule for Kris Allen or Adam Lambert yet.

WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee's American Idol Danny Gokey is coming home on Friday, May 8, 2009 -- and the Idol producers have a busy schedule in store for him.

7 a.m.
Danny Gokey arrives at the FOX6 Studios (9001 N. Green Bay Rd., Brown Deer) for interviews on FOX6 WakeUp News.

8 a.m.
Danny leaves FOX6 to visit a couple of Milwaukee radio stations.

11:15 a.m.
Danny makes a short visit to an AT&T store (9078 N. Green Bay Rd., Brown Deer).

3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Danny visits downtown Milwaukee landmarks.

4:15 p.m.
Main gates at Summerfest open for the Danny Gokey mini-concert at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse.

4:30 p.m.
Danny takes part in a short car parade to Summerfest mini-concert. Parade route: Michigan & Jackson down to Chicago. East on Chicago entering the main gate at Summerfest. The parade and mini-concert will also feature four Green Bay Packers (Aaron Rodgers, Greg Jennings, Nick Barnett, Ruvell Martin).

5:15 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Mini-concert with Danny Gokey at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse. Concert will include special guests including FOX6's Nicole Koglin. IMPORTANT: Everyone who attends Danny's mini-concert at Summerfest will receive a FREE Summerfest weekday admission ticket AFTER THE CONCERT.

6 p.m.
Danny 's motorcade leaves Summerfest for Miller Park. The public is invited to line Wisconsin Ave. as the motorcade heads to the Brewers-Cubs ballgame.

6:30 p.m.
Danny throws out the first pitch and sings the National Anthem before the Brewers-Cubs game.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I love that they have to give away free SummerFest tickets just to get people to attend his stupid mini-concert.

Oh God!

I remember that. I did kind of like that performance but they couldn't have made it any clearer what they were doing.
I know. The judges and producers are bitches.

They'll probably have Kris singing some lame Disney song or a TV show theme, LoL.

"Thank you for being a friend... traveled down the road and back again!"

"You take the good, you take the bad, you take 'em both and then you have the facts of life. The facts of life!"

LMAO Kenny.

Do people in his own hometown think he is that bad? How does he keep getting through week after week? I just don't get it, especially after last night.

Even if you want to say that Alison or Kris was bad, after what happened with that duet and after that awful solo performance Danny had (especially the last note), there is no way he should still be here. No way, especially when you consider how complacent he was from about top 11 right up until last week and his attitude last night (his saying let me go back and watch my performance to see if it actually sucks or not to the judges was something that I find very insulting).

Ugh. He better go home next week and, once he goes home, my next hope will be for Alison to get a great record deal so she can prove what a bunch of idiots most of the judges were and how stupid the show was. If given the proper treatment, she will outsell Danny by a mile.

Oh, come on. You know you would love him to sing the Golden Girls theme. That would make you want to vote for him even more LOL.

Your right, though. They are going to wreck him next week. Thank God there is no producer's choice. At least they can only wreck him with the judge's choice. He can then try to pick things back up with his own song choice and that should help him. The biggest thing will be everyone coming out to vote.

He won't go home. They'll probably give him some amazing homecoming video package with people bawling their eyes out at just the sight of him. They'll make him look like the Messiah. They'll do everything in their power to make it look like his success is some sort of fateful thing and he's supposed to be huge and change the world with his incredible voice and important message. Gag!

Then when they get to the homecoming package for Kris, it'll probably be filled with shots of him standing outside the porta-potties and ordering McNuggets from the backseat of a dirty limo. The producers can eat shit.

Your probably right and I forgot about that. They can manipulate via the hometown packages too.

I remember Syesha's last year and they made it look like she had no one come out to see her and didn't do much with her's at all while Cook's and Archie's they made sure that it looked like they had many people out there to see them (not hard considering their fanbases) and they really made both videos emotional.

It's just one big conspiracy at this point, just like it was last year. The votes are the only thing that can save Kris. And this top 3 week is going to be as hard for me to get through as last year's, if not harder since my fave is gone now. The difference is we have 3 guys instead of 2 and Kris is this year's Syesha. It's all going to be eerily similar next week to what we got last year at this stage. That is why we needed Alison but she would've been in the same predicament (and she would be really in the same boat as Syesha being a female). My hope with her was that the girl vote would help her. Now, I hope the girl vote helps Kris and that his fans and so many others come out because Danny's fans will out in droves and he has VFTW helping him too.

Mhmm. They can and they will.

They're obviously gonna bring back the dead wife. No way are they doing a homecoming package without showing her pictures, her friends, her favorite spots, the place where he proposed.

They'll probably have him perform a concert in the middle of the cemetary right in front of her tombstone. The song he sings will of course be "One Sweet Day."

I feel sorry for Adam. Everyone else has an awesome chance to take a private jet back home and see all the happy, shining faces, but since Adam lives in L.A. and San Diego, he'll probably get two blocks worth of cab fare and people pointing saying "Is that the guy from American Idol?"

L.A. is flooded with celebrities that are actually famous so why would anyone care about some random Idol guy who may or may not be successful? I mean, I'm sure he'll draw a crowd, but it won't be anything massive.

If they do it in San Diego, he might actually have a huge turnout.

By the way, I'll be scouring YouTube this weekend to see what kind of videos are posted from their homecoming events. I'm still trying to find information about Adam's. Apparently they're keeping the details hush-hush, LoL.

Oh, for sure. I think that is why they stopped mentioning his wife for awhile and why he veered away from song choices alluding to her. That way they can pull that trump card out this week and not have to listen to too many people complain since they let it go for a little bit.

Thanks for the updates, Kenny. I can't wait to see the footage of the hometown visits and I'm sure youtube will have some stuff this weekend, much like last year. Your right about Adam. That sucks for him. He doesn't have to go far and doesn't even need to jet. Hopefully, he has enough people come out for him. He has clearly made an impact so I would hope it's not as bad as what your describing LOL.

You know, I think the hometown thing is why Alison got so emotional. Naturally, when you get this far only to come up short, it's hard. You want to win, especially if you've come this far and you still have hope even if things look bad. However, I've always felt like once you reach this point on Idol, you want so badly to get into the top 3 to go home for all the celebration and such. It's so special and I think Alison wanted that so badly. I feel bad for her because it has to mean so much to go home and to have all these people in your hometown coming out to see you and cheering for you. We've seen how it affects people in the past and it's truly a one of a kind experience. I wanted that for her but oh well.

I've been thinking and I'm beginning to wonder if Danny tanked on purpose. I mean, if you think about it, it makes sense. Danny has never been that bad like he was last night. He knew rock week would put him at a disadvantage, as it would Kris. Adam was in the bottom 2 last week so everyone knew his votes would surge and Danny probably figured that Kris's fans would come out in droves too because he would likely have an off week due to the theme too so he tries to screw up their duet in hopes that will knock Kris out and then he tanks his performance (why else would he make himself out to be a joke with that note at the end?) to make sure his fanbase goes nuts because it would be clear he was in trouble. That certainly explains why Alison ended up going, even after that awesome duet to end the night with her and Adam which normally would be enough to save her. Simon saying that Adam likely saved her could not have helped since it may have made her fans feel she was safe, especially being paired with Adam. However, Adam was guaranteed safe after being in the bottom 2 last week and Kris and Danny were never in as much trouble as they were last night so it makes sense Alison going now. They all have stronger fanbases then her so once they mobilized, she had no shot. Too bad I realize all this after the fact or I would've voted even more and pushed for others to vote too. not that it would've made a difference.

Assuming my theory is right about Danny, it reminds me alot of Taylor Hicks. I know I keep comparing the two to each other but, to this day, I feel like Taylor plotted out the whole season. By that I mean, he played it like Survivor. He knew what he would have to do to survive. He was not someone that would typically win this show. While Randy and Paula liked him, Simon hated him and you could tell the show was not really aiming for him to win. Taylor knew he had to do some things to survive so he creates his rabid "Soul Patrol" fanbase and creates this vibrant persona on stage before, during, and after a performance to drawn attention to himself. I do think he tanked performances at times to rally his fans to his cause just to make sure they never became complacent. The week Daughtry left I remember Taylor being really bad. Now, Taylor had been bad before and never wowed me but he had never been that bad. Kind of like Danny this week. Anyway, going into the week, everyone knew that Elliot had a strong and consistent fanbase and that he would be safe because I believe he had dropped to the bottom 3 or 2 the week before for the first time or one of the only times until that point. Katherine had a bad night that night (which mobilized her fans) and I think Taylor knew that but he wanted to ensure his safety anyway so he tanks his performances and that mobilizes his fans and saves him. That left Chris, who had never been in the bottom 3, and many of his fans got complacent and the others came out in droves for their faves and that sent Chris packing.

I feel like that happened tonight. Adam's fans came out in force coming off his scare last week. Kris was in trouble even before he performed but especially after he performed and Danny knew this so Danny tanks. Both of them are in trouble. Fans comes to their defense and that leaves Alison, whose fans may have felt she was safe coming off last week and they got complacent. It makes sense. The worse thing that could've happened was Alison being top 2 last week because it gave her fans a reason to feel way too secure, I think.

Adam is going home to SD. Ryan said it when he announced Adam was safe. I think he will get a good turn out. I am sure he's not actually from the city of San Diego but a small suburb, I'd think.

SD is about two hours south of LA so it's far enough away to get away from the celebrity, glitzy glam vibe.

Yeah. Can you imagine leaving your hometown as a nobody and going back to find massive crowds of adoring fans who are cheering your name and holding up signs with your name on it? I can't imagine getting so close to that kind of celebration only to be sent packing instead. I mean, what a crushing blow. Allison looked devastated.

Wow, I should have known not to bother coming to this thread. When I watched last night, and Danny made fun of himself and showed total humilty over his bad note, I actually thought to myself, "all the haters on the DR will finally see that he is not the arrogant asshole they think he is" ... I should have known that wouldn't be the case. I cannot get over all the hatred for him because he smiles. Unbelieveable. Adam didn't even try to pretend to look surprised that he made it through. And when they showed Danny smiling during Allison's performance, it looked like he was enjoying her performance and feeling proud of her. If they showed Adam smiling while watching Allison, would it have been deemed smug? I doubt it. WTF? I don't get it. I can understand different preferences, but it seems like this Danny hate is completely unfounded. And for me, as a Danny fan, and someone who voted my ass off for him, it kind of sucks to come here and read posts basically calling Danny fans idiots for voting for him. Thanks a lot. Boy, I really, really, really hope Danny wins now.

It really is terrible.

I found these two recaps of the results last night. HILARIOUS!

MTV NEWS

EW.COM

I love the dude in the MTV video. He was funny as hell.

My favorite part of that PopWatch article was this:

Q&A portion of the evening was its usual uneventful self at the start: Yes, Danny, Wednesdays are mostly boring for us, too. Oh, Kris, aren't you precious and bashful. How nice, Adam, that you were just having fun up there. But then Ryan asked Danny about The Scream, and the Gokester did his best to brush it off, veering close to likeable before driving into Douchebag Canyon when he suggested he might have a future in motion pictures. Then Ryan asked Allison about talking back... and I swear to you, PopWatchers, I heard her curse. But I thought she dropped an f-bomb, and when I went back to the broadcast to hear what they bleeped out, the bleep wasn't really in the place where I thought that f-bomb had been. So I don't know what they bleeped, and I am sorry. Insert your own expletive instead. I do it all the time. It's fun.

LMAO about Danny. So true. Even when he tried to be humble and was laughing at himself, he still went the smug route. I've read that bit about Alison in several places. I noticed two instances last night where something sounded bleeped out. One was earlier in the show and it seemed like a fan cursed and the other was as Alison spoke so it was unclear whether she said something or a fan did as she was talking about her getting feisty with Simon. It would be funny if she cursed in that moment as she was talking about Simon LOL. The only part of the article I don't agree on is Kara because Kara was the only judge to genuinely support her and who seemed to most affected by her leaving.

It seems like no one can believe she went home and Danny stayed. Kris seems to have been given a pass but I really feel like all this negative buzz toward Danny this week combined with Alison going home (and his smug look during her goodbye performance) could do him in. I hope so. I'm still not going to calm down on voting because Kris will every single vote he can get.

Aimee, don't take it so personally. You aren't alone! I love Danny.

I really hope we get an Adam and Danny finale so I could - for once - not care who wins.

Love that duet! They sound so good together. I'm downloading it. Danny's voice is amazing.

And about the smiling, I'd be smiling too! I love Danny's personality. In fact, I think he is the only one in the final three who has one.

Terri Seymour was just on Good Day LA with clips from backstage last night. She was saying how Allison will be fine no matter what - just like Chris Daughtry.

But then Simon said...Terri, Randy, who came in fourth last year? And Randy didn't know. He said he knew Brooke White came in 5th. Simon said they proved his point. Terri asked Simon who came in fourth last year, and Simon said: I have no idea, that's the point - you can't say it doesn't matter what place people come in because the whole point of the show is to crown a winner. If you say it doesn't matter, people won't vote.
