I didn't get to watch last night because my cable was out, We had really strong winds here last night. I was so mad. And I was sad Jamar didn't get throw even thou I did see the spoiler list. I was just hoping it was wrong. Did they say why he didn't get throw. And also how does the wildcard work?
I am going to explain how the wild card works from earlier seasons because I am assuming that will be the format they use. But it might end up being different.

The 36 are broken into 3 groups and each week we will get to see one group. They are taking the top male, top female and then overall top vote earner each week. Then for the wild card week the judges choose 12 singers who didn't make it past the previous three weeks to sing again. The top vote earner of that week went through and each judge chose one of that week's performers to go through to make the top 12. I think the judges one might be different because now we have four judges and would end up with a top 13 instead of top 12. So that is where the change maybe. Also for the wild card week, they can pick someone that didn't make the top 36 and I could see maybe a Jamar getting in that way.

Idol Disqualified!

Posted Image

Shady American Idol semi-finalist Joanna Pacitti has just been disqualified from the competition!

Finally!!

Fox released a statement late Wednesday explaining Pacitti's disqualification as to "avoid the appearance of impropriety."

The speculation about the legitimacy of Pacitti to be in the running for American Idol included rumors of the "aspiring" songstress being planted in the competition due to a close relationship with certain people close to Idol as well as a former record deal with A&R Records, where the faker had tracks featured on the Legally Blonde and Nancy Drew soundtracks.

Did the bigwigs over at Fox really think they could sneak this atrocity past Idol extremists???

Pacitti has been replaced in the semi-finals by the more deserving Felicia Barton, 26, who will go on to compete in the Top 36.

Well she shouldn't have been there in the first place because she couldn't remember her words. She was completely a plant by someone which can only explain while she was allowed to get by with forgetting words.
I was suprised that they kept her! Simon told them that if they forget the words they are OUT. She forgot more than once.

I can't picture who Felicia is (the one replacing her).

I can't picture who Felicia is (the one replacing her).
They never showed her singing during Hollywood Week and they never showed her audition. They only showed her getting cut in last night's episode, and even that was quick.

I think I posted some videos of her on the first page, singing "No One' by Alicia Keys.

Okay.. so .... errr... Norman Gentle is through, but Jamar isn't? Hmmm... wow... I am speechless....

Jamar better go through the wild card round.

And Tatiana... Oh.. my.. Goooooooooooood!

But going back on Jamar.. I knew it would happen.. cause everyone that went through were the people I liked. I just knew there would be one shocking elimination. And I had a feeling it would be either Jamar or Danny. I was PISSED! Especially when afterwords they let Norman Gentle in. Seriously? The guy can't sing! UGH!

I hope Danny, Anoop, Scott, Lil, Ann Marie, Michael Sarver are through in top 12... and Jamar of course, through the wild card round.

Only the Top 36 get a chance at the Wild Card round, if I'm not mistaken. :(

"American Idol" Contestant Booted

Posted Image

TMZ has learned Top 36 "American Idol" contestant Joanna Pacitti was forced to pull out from the show because of ties to an A.I. exec.

Last night Joanna made the cut, but this morning "American Idol's" website revealed this: "It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition."

So what the hell does that mean? Glad you asked: Joanna's former manger at Geffen (yeah, she had a record deal) is now a big wig at 19 Entertainment (which produces "Idol"). It's unclear how that went unnoticed for five months, but we're told producers demanded her resignation yesterday. We're told Joanna refused to do it.

"American Idol" told us "No comment." Felicia Barton took her spot.

Quoting limited to 2 levels deep
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I think someone once on a previous season someone who didn't make it to the top 36 was brought back for the wild card. I want to say it was during season two because I remember it coming out when I was watching American Idol Rewind of that season.

You know, aside from the hysterics, Nate really isn't a bad singer.

MJ's Big Blog

Fox Reality Head Mike Darnell on Joanna Pacitti: "Unfortunately, it was just a perceptional problem."

Mike Darnell, who oversees alternative programing for FOX, repeats to the LA Times, nearly verbatim what Ryan Seacrest told FOX reporters yesterday regarding Joanna Pacitti’s abrupt disqualification:

"Unfortunately, it was just a perceptional problem, that there [was] just too close a connection between [Pacitti and the employees], we felt," Darnell said today in an interview. "A replacement was made as a producorial and judge choice. Simple as that."

---------------------------------

So, the conflict of interest was fine… until the public found out about it.

This season is such a snoozefest for me. Guess I was spoiled by David Cook ,lol!

Maybe I'll catch on later, but for now, I'm tuning out.

Yeah, I'm hoping it'll get better over the next few weeks since we'll finally be seeing some real performances, LoL. Up until this point, I've been rather underwhelmed.

Really? I find myself really can't being able to chose top 12 out of the 36 people. I think many of them are good.

Oh, I think they have alot of good talent. I just haven't been impressed with the way they've put the show together, thus far. There's been lots of filler.

Yeah I don't like the way it has been put together. There isn't that one person that I am looking forward to seeing perform. I hope that changes next week when the top 36 start performing.
