All of Kris's numbers are busy!
I've noticed. Very good sign.

I'm posting and voting. I will be keeping an eye on DialIdol, which redeemed itself last week, too.

Ugh, I can't believe I slept through the entire show! LoL!

I laid down for a nap at like 6:30 and obviously the nap turned into a 2 1/2 hour slumber. I'm pissed! I'll have to find clips online. Who sucked?!
Aww...poor Kenny.

There are places you can watch it, I believe. Usually someone posts clips on youtube too. Just type in "Watch American Idol" or something and see what comes up.

As for who sucked, it is subjective but I think the consensus is that we all want Danny out, or most of us anyway LOL.

Now I'm running off to vote LOL.

All of Kris's numbers are busy!
I have just been hitting redial for the last 10 minutes. I got through about ten times, but busy all the rest. Seems like I would get through 2 times then get about 8 busy signals.

Umm... judging by what I'm reading, it sounds like Adam got the pimp spot A-G-A-I-N. Is this true?!

If so, I'm gonna pitch the world's biggest bitch fit!

Of course he went last. Danny first with Kris squished in the middle.

I've gotten through most of the time for Kris. I've gotten some busy signals and some "all circuits are busy," but honestly I'd say I'm getting through at least 70% of the time.

And I meant to throw a vote to Adam but I accidentally threw one to Danny. Stupid, stupid me. I will now try to get through five times for Adam to atone for my mistake.

As much as I liked Adam, I have to admit...him getting the last slot again is too much. That is 3 straight weeks and that has never happened on this show before.

Whatever. I'm over it. We know they want him to win. I'm just trying to ignore it because I want to be fair to him. I hate the way it makes him look.

Meanwhile, I can't get through to Kris's lines but some of my assistants are every so often.

That pissed me off more then anything.

If Kris went first or last, no problem for me but sticking him in the middle...obvious sabotage. They were easy on him with the comments but they tried to sabotage him in other ways so it wouldn't be as obvious as it was last week when they clearly tried to knock him out.

I got through to Adam very easily--five votes cast for him in six tries (and the one that didn't go through was a "call not completed" one). I'm sailing right through for Kris now too.

I am starting to get through more for Kris now. But the same thing happened for me last week too.

I've only been able to find a clip of Adam singing "One," and I've come to the realization that he can never and will never be a big success when the show is over. He's too Broadway, too theatrical. He's just not what most people would consider to be a rocker in today's market.

Well, there are 3 lines for each contestant so that could be why. There is no way all 3 of both Kris and Adam's lines are easy to get into, at least I hope not LOL. Right now, it seems to be the second line that is hard to get through for Kris. The other two seem easy to get into right now.

It's important to note too that no matter what DialIdol or other sites say, Kris usually gets alot of text votes. He's been underestimated all year so if it's close on DialIdol and other sites, most likely he has the edge.

I have my doubts too BUT it's not because of the theatrical aspect. I mean, just look at a rock band like Queen or a singer like Lady Gaga. Both are theatrical and over the top and they have had or are having successful careers.

The thing for him will be what he does to maintain his success. He will have it early on but it will be what he does after that which will determine his career. He will have to really show his versatility, which he does have, and will have to constantly mix things up and do new things because he will need to keep topping himself to keep himself relevant. I think he can do it but I do have my doubts.

Here are my thoughts...

DANNY:

"Dance Little Sister" - He pretty much sang the song the way the original sounded. It was a good fit for his voice, but it definitely didn't allow for a "moment." His voice sounded a little tired, a little hoarse. Did the judges call him out for not changing the style of the song the way they did with Kris Allen for "Apologize?" The clips I'm watching haven't included any of the judges comments, so I'm not sure. Anyway, I hope they called him on it.

"You Are So Beautiful" - The way he changed it up was interesting, but I'm not sure if it was interesting in a good way. I thought his voice sounded kind of weak in parts, and for the most part, the song was boring.

Overall Grade - D+

KRIS:

"Apologize" - Like I feared, the song didn't fit his vocals. At some parts when he was supposed to sing it high, he sang it lower and with his full voice. I noticed it alot when he got to the repeated line of "it's too late." Still, I liked it. It wasn't bad by any means, it just wasn't out of this world amazing.

"Heartless" - No band to back him up -- very brave! Any mistake made would be all on his shoulders. Thankfully, he was amazing. I love the way he switched it up, the song was perfect for his voice and I love the way he chose something completely unexpected and nailed it. Best of the night, IMO!

Overall Grade - B

ADAM:

"One" - I liked it until about halfway through, then it got all high and pitchy. The usual for Adam. I just hate his upper register. He sounds like a drag queen with a frog in his throat trying to imitate Aretha. It's just painful to me. Not good at all.

"Cryin" - Holy shit, what a mess. In the beginning of the song, not only was he singing out of time with the backup vocalist, it sounded like he was singing a completely different song altogether, LoL. It's like she was singing the original Aerosmith version and he was singing his theatrical Glambert version. Their vocals didn't mesh well at all. I'm sure the judges completely failed to point this out in their critiques though. He shrieked his way through the entire song and I absolutely hated it. Like I said before, he just because you can hit certain notes, it doesn't mean you should. My uncle can sound like Alvin & the Chipmunks, but that doesn't mean it would sound good in a song. Just... ugh. This was complete shit. Also, it annoys me how Simon completely neglected to give an actual critique (because he knew how shitty was) and instead decided to declare that Adam deserves the win based on overall talent. What a crock. You know it sucked, Simon. Just say so.

Overall Grade - D

Lady Gaga's voice translates well to radio though. Adam's? I'm really not sure. It's one thing to be an over the top performer, but when your voice is so high and so shrieky all the time... well, I can't see radio putting him in very heavy rotation, LoL.

As for Queen, I wouldn't call them a mainstream success today. A few decades ago, yes. Today, they don't get nearly the amount of radio play or music video love as other rock acts. Adam would've been mega-popular back in Queen's hey day, but we're living in 2009 -- not 1979, LoL. I just can't see anyone breaking out in today's music industry and becoming a bonafide star with Adam's shrieky Broadway vocals.
