I really should;'ve waited for you to post, Kenny. You said what I wanted to, only better! Only thing I don't agree with is the Adam comments, especially the part about the shrieking and theatrical style because many artists are theatrical and very successful (some legendary) and they got played alot on radio (particularly on rock stations) but your right on about Kris. Adam has changed it up though too. He's done slow songs and, obviously, fast songs. He's showed range and showed he can tone it down too. That is what is great about the two we have left. They both have their own way of doing things and your always waiting to see what they do because they always do things their way. You never get copycat performances or the same old kind of thing with them every week, except certain things that are their quirks like Adam's high notes or Kris' use of instruments most of the time. No way is Adam just one style! Look how different he was if just compare "Ring Of Fire", "Mad World", and the Led Zeppelin song he did last week. All of those were so different! I really don't see how Kris has sounded much different from week to week at all. |

Really? I must just not get him then, because with all of those songs, all I heard was the same ridiculous shrieking and wailing. Like with "Ring of Fire." Near the end, he completely ruined it with that "whOOOOOoooOOOAAAaaaa wOOOOooooOOOAOOOoooooooooooAAAAooooo" shit. I'm still swabbing the blood out of my ears. Also, he ripped off Dilana's version. Led Zeppelin, again, loud and shrieky. Mad World was the only decent song out of the whole bunch, and even then he managed to throw in a shrieky note or two. Plus, he completely ripped off Gary Jules version, so like Ring of Fire, I can't give him props for originality, LoL. I don't think he's really good at re-tooling songs and turning them into something new. He's only good at stealing other people's obscure versions and making people think he's the mastermind behind them. |

I definitely disagree. I have disliked many of Adam's performances, but his best are way better than Kris' best any day of the week. |

I didn't like "Ring Of Fire", but is was different from other performances. I didn't say he was the first to do it that way, lol. I am saying that HE doesn't sound the same every week and is not one style. If you are talking about originality; Fray has a version of "Heartless" that Kris did last night with the same arrangement, so that can't be called original by Kris either. |

Adam has come a long way since "Ring of Fire" IMO. That was his worst. To this day, I don't understand what he was doing with that song. It had nothing to do with the wailing and shrieking either. It was just all wrong for him. I hated him to that point but he turned it around after that and made me like him. I don't know who at their best is better but I do know both are better then Danny and many others this year even when they aren't at their best so, since Alison was not an option, I think we got the right two here. Adam and Kris are each appealing and both have had clunkers this season but I just don't agree with the notion they both did the same old thing every week. They were the only two who week in and week out kept you guessing and never ever did a copycat performance (except when Kara and Randy picked "Apologize" for Kris he did but the judges are at fault there too). I like Alison but, if not for her voice making her performances unique and different, II would have to say she bordered on being a copycat a few times. |

I agree (though I loved almost all of Adam's peformances). Vocally Kris just doesn't compare and he has even said so himself. I think Kris is lacking a bit in personality as well. He is kinda dull, lol. So cute though! I won't be pissed if he does win (I have enjoyed some of his performances and he seems like a nice guy), but I really don't think he deserves to over Adam. |

Good point but it still takes guts to go out there and perform it that way. With the exception of "Always Be My Baby," pretty much all of the different versions of songs that Cook sang were done by others too so it's nothing new. The idea of going up there with a different version that is not as widely known as the original and singing it while also putting your personal stamp on it is what makes it great. Both Kris and Adam have followed in David Cook's footsteps and done that this season so it will be nice to see two people like that in the finale. It will be like a chess match, in a way. You will be wondering what each of them brings out and what their next move will be as opposed to last year where Archuleta was predictable and Cook was the only one unpredictable. As far as personality, no doubt Adam is more outgoing but, like Alison, the show and judge's really haven't given Kris the opportunity to show his personality. He got even less airtime then Alison did coming into the top 36. At least we saw her once in awhile. Kris wasn't even seen prior to the top 36. He's very laid back and the only time he's given a chance to show who he is, it always seemed like there was some kind of junk going on with the judges. Plus, after the whole exchange between Simon and Kris early on over him being so open about being married and all, I'm not surprised that Kris opted to be a little more quiet. Yeah, that was his worst for sure! I didn't totally hate it, but I didn't like it either. It was just strange! Kris did change up some songs, but the thing is I think he made most of them sound the same; not much of a style change. |

I'll be the first to admit that Kris has kind of a bland personality compared to the screamin' demon glamazon drag queen from hell with mascara and brillo pad skin. If we were voting based on who's most interesting, Adam would win hands down. I just can't get past the shrieking and the pimping. The pimping sours me on Adan more than anything -- even more than the shrieking and screaming. It makes me want to drive a car into the studio and run the judges over multiple times, LoL. I badly want to grate Kara's face with a tire. I don't like it when people tell me what I'm supposed to like or when the producers/judges try subliminal trickery bullshit to fool the public into producing a ratings friendly result. It's just like the soaps when they try to shove a new character or couple down my throat. My instinct reaction is to revolt. |

Yeah, that is true about the judges. They seem to be goofing off quite a bit when talking to Kris. They need to quit with that shit! I did love when he sang "Man In The Mirror". |

Well, his voice is not one in which alot of alterations can be made. Cook and Daughtry are the same way. Their tone is always the same. There isn't many variations. That is how most artists are, especially nowadays. It's not a bad thing but it can sometimes be in a competition like this if you are up against someone who has variations in tone, sound, etc in their voice like Adam. Adam is unique in that he has a wide range. I was reading on another forum how some opera stars examined his voice and gave him high praise. You don't see voices like his every day. |

They need to quit with that shit entirely. Granted, it was funny yesterday when they screwed around but it really is disrespectful to the contestants and cuts into their time. Some of the eliminated contestants have spoken about how disrespectful the judges have been while they were on stage or performing this year, most notable Megan. What really gets me is Simon has been bitching in interviews about how the show has become too much about the judges rather then the contestants yet they continue to screw around and have rumors circulate and shit and it still ends up being about them. Ugh. :hmmph: . |

I guess the pimping doesn't bother me much since I love Adam and think he is so talented. I really don't think that they should do that though (especially starting so early in the season) and I do not like when Simon will tell someone that they have no chance of winning. Paula shouldn't have been saying over and over and a Danny/Adam finale either. I think that is just rude to the other contestants. If they would have been pimping someone like Megan I would be so pissed since I think she totally sucks. |

Another good thing about Kris having a boring personality -- if he wins, it will mean the judges spent this entire season pimping the hell out of two Chosen Ones for nothing. Anytime the fans get a chance to say "fuck you" to the judges, I'm all for it. In the eyes of the producers, Kris winning will make this entire season a complete and utter flop. A mediocre, boring season with a ho-hum, uninteresting winner. Basically, I want to see this whole season crash and burn where the pimping blows up in the judges/producers faces and they're left with a jump the shark finale. :) |

I know. It's like, what the fuck is the point of the show then? If they've already decided their winner from the start and they're going to do everything in their power to make sure that the Chosen One makes it to the end, why bother watching? Especially if you're not a fan of TCO. Simon's stupid comments really kind of undermine the entire show. Ditto that for Paula. That stupid bitch needs to get back on the drugs and shut the fuck up already. |

I agree. I hope they learned their lesson, especially Paula, after what happened tonight about making proclamation in March when we have two months left LOL. They would really learn it if Adam went home but I don''t want to hold the pimping against him. As I said, it's not his fault. He doesn't ask for it. If you don't like, you don't like him but the pimping is not something he started. I just think it comes down to if you like the contestant being pimped. Even though the pimping and manipulation was not as bad back then, Simon said during top 11 week that Carrie Underwood would win and sell more records then any other Idol winner. What really gets me is Paula bitched at him for making a statement that early yet she did that this year several times LOL. Anyway, most liked Carrie just like most liked Cook so when the pimping came to them, people tolerated it or didn't mind it. If you like the contestant, it's fine. If you don't, you hate the pimping. I just wish they would go back to how it was pre-Daughtry's elimination when they still had their faves and pimped them a bit but it was never this bad. Hell, season 6 wasn't even this bad. It seemed to get really bad last year and got even worse this year. I hope it does improve but I won't hold my breath. Too many of their favorites went home prior to the finals in the early seasons so they think they have to do everything they can now to make sure they get the right finals and that is a shame because it has hurt the show quite a bit IMO. |

EXACTLY!! That is why it's hurt the show. They've always had their faves but it was never like this. They always sort of left the door open for others to make it in and would give credit where credit was due. Seasons 7 and 8 have had none of that. At all. it takes away from the whole competition and it shocks me that Simon has become the poster boy for all that shit this season. Last season, he seemed immune to it but this season he's been the driving force behind alot of it and Paula, while she has made some great points at times this season (guess she has to compete with Kara), has been his partner in crime in all of it with some help from Randy and Kara (who seems to be not as much into the agenda but she does assist). Paula was actually better off when she wasn't clear-minded LOL. |

I don't think the pimping has ever been as bad in past seasons as it has been this season for Adam Lambert. I mean, they've really set a new precedent for him. This entire season should've been re-named "Lambert Idol," LoL. |
