Simon hated Taylor, and the producers weren't big on him. The Soul Patrol was massive and they were why Taylor was a front runner, so he wasn't "pimped" like the other contestants. He was the subversive choice too for people who were against the idol machine. Anoop and Megan. that's kind of funny. |

Michael Sarver posted an update on his MySpace regarding this. "May 18, 2009 11:49 AM Just want to say to those offended by this video that I am sorry you were offended. I did not intend that. In a world where I love u between guys can mean more then one thing we just wanted to clarify the status of our relationship. It had nothing to do with passing judgement." How old are they again? |

LoL, AI was probably pissed and forced him to take it down. That was really just a stupid comment to make, as if to suggest that romantic love between two guys is wrong and un-Godly. Some people would really learn to think before they open their mouths. Why straight guys constantly feel the need to defend their sexuality and make it clear that they're not gay even though it's obvious they're not, I'll never know. |

NY Post ANGEL VS. DEVIL Kris and Adam have an 'Idol' Showdown Will the next "American Idol" be bold, brassy and wicked? Or the angelic dark horse? That's the tantalizing choice this week as America's favorite show heads into its eighth-season finale, pitting L.A. stage performer Adam Lambert against the soulful, devout Christian, Kris Allen. "Glambert," 27, has been the runaway favorite of the "Idol" judges. He's also the only one to get a standing ovation from Simon Cowell after his rendition of Tears For Fears' "Mad World." But Allen, 23, has been quietly sneaking up the leader board. He has been impressive playing guitar and keyboards, most notably during his original acoustic rendition of Donna Summer's "She Works Hard For The Money." "There are some unbelievable singers every year, like [David] Archuleta and Lambert, who start at the top and stay there," says "Idol" associate musical director, Michael Orland. "Then there are the ones that come out of nowhere, like Kris Allen. That week he did 'Ain't No Sunshine?' What was that? This kid is a big contender." Well, Allen shocked the judges -- Simon Cowell raised his stern eyebrows -- when the dark horse was the first singer named as a finalist. Cowell had written him off many times, but Allen proved there was an audience for his simple and quietly confident style. So who will take the crown? Two online betting services, Gambling.com and Bodog.com, agree that Lambert remains the frontrunner, but the odds have now tightened. Before last Wednesday night's episode, Lambert's odds were 1-to-3 (meaning that you'd have to bet three dollars to make one dollar). Danny Gokey's odds were 3-to-1. And Allen's odds were 5-to-1. But now Gokey, an audience favorite who had never been in the bottom three, is out. In the Lambert/Allen finale, "Adam's odds go down to 1-to-2.50 and Kris' odds improve to about 2-to-1," says Richard Gardner, the sports book manager for Bodog.com. "It's going to be a really tight race," says Chris Costigan, president of Gambling 911.com, who adds that Danny's fans are most likely to vote for Kris now. "There's no guarantee that Adam's going to win." Gokey's shocking elimination, coming after the judges' heaped praised on him, caps off a season of controversy surrounding "American Idol." In November, an obsessed Paula Abdul fan who once auditioned for the show committed suicide and was found dead in a car parked outside the judge's Los Angeles home. Then there was the addition of a fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi, who had a rough entry onto the judges' panel and still has no guarantee of coming back next season. "In the beginning, it was definitely a little uncomfortable for everybody," says DioGuardi. "There were a few cities where I felt like: How is this gonna work?" Often, it didn't work. Having four judges meant sending the show into overtime and infuriating fans whose DVRs cut off before the night was over. The most aggravating example was the week of "Songs From The Year You Were Born," when Lambert's rendition of "Mad World" was performed during an 8-minute overtime. He still got enough votes to stay in the game. But there would have been an uproar if Scott MacIntyre, the blind singer voted off that week, had been the last one to perform. As the "Idol" singers have dwindled this season, it's instructive to note how many of their predecessors have had hits without winning the competition. According to Billboard author Fred Bronson, the Idols have 225 number-one records to date, counting every domestic chart. "Lakisha Jones [from season six] just charted and she's the 40th 'Idol' finalist to chart," he says. Just as impressive is that no season has had less than four people on the charts. "These guys this season?" says Bronson. "They're gonna be on the charts." |

Stock up on the Kleenex, guys. David Cook will be performing the song “Permanent” on this Wednesday on Idol.
The song will be available as a download on iTunes that night and all proceeds will go to David Cook’s charity for brain tumor research that he recently set up for his brother Adam, who died recently from cancer. |

Oh Lord Britany on the AI stage. But seriously not surprised because all they cared about this season was finding a package artist and Britany is right there at the top. We will just have to wait to see what happens. They always throw a lot of names out there so who knows what is and isn't true. Glad to see David Cook will be back. That song is very simple yet so powerful in the words. I hope he just sings it with the piano and maybe a violin or two like on the cd. |

Danny and Lionel's duet will be cheese-tastic, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to Santana. It's hard to believe that this is all over and we'll have a winner in less than two days. |

Wonderful post. I feel the same about Danny, Kris, and Adam. I LOVE Idolatry. Hilarious!! I love Kristen having the party hat on and drinking and shooting silly string around  . I love how they talked about how Alison, Kris, and Adam would be the most perfect, beautiful, and amazing final 3 and two that God could imagine and then they cut to Alison and Adam's duet LOL. I agree that Simon's face was priceless when Kris was saved. I remember Micheal suggested Kris do a song acapella or just with acoustic guitar. Maybe he did help Kris out LOL. The part about the "Fallen Idols" was funny. Too true. This season will go down like next to seasons 3 and 5 with all the mistakes made. People like Megan in the top 13, Alison being eliminated, Alexis, the way so many were thrown under the bus like last year, etc. Kris was sort of representing them just like Cook kind of represented last year against all the Archie fans. I also agree that it was nice to see Kri's family, especially his dad crying and all, because that is lacking now. For some reason, we don't see too much of Adam's support. I know it's there but we never see them as much. Same goes for Danny. Kris's family and wife we see every week, just like we saw Alison's and Anoop's. Looking back on it, Danny's homecoming package was strange. Sure, Adam's was not as good as we all expected but Danny's only seemed to feature Jamar and nothing with his family. The emotion just wasn't as there as it was in Kris'. Glad they pointed out the background singer on Adam's last performance last week. She messed that whole thing up more then he did. Ugh. I do hope, like them, that Adam gives us one performance next week that is a bit more subdued and that he merely just sings. That would be nice and it would show variation, which is important. Loved the way it ended on the Adam/Danny comparison and the promo for their Bachelor stuff was hilarious  . How cute were those Alison interview videos? They treated her like a queen and she so deserved all those nice things and the praise. I ADORE her. I can't wait to watch their end of the season videos, especially the one with Gokey. Considering how much they disliked him, that should be interesting LOL. I also agree with Kenny on that video that Angie posted. Just when I was starting to like Danny again, he goes and says something like that. I guess we know why he and Adam had issues. Micheal was annoying too on that video. I figured it would be taken down as Idol has to hate that but it won't go away since once something is out on the Internet, it never goes back into hiding LOL. That is bad news for both Danny and Micheal since they both come off looking bad. At least, Micheal seemed to get what the issue was and was apologizing for it. Things do get misinterpreted but Danny seemed pretty genuine. Assuming the info Kenny posted is right, that song was something I would expect. All the Idol songs usually have names like that and similar themes. Last year's Time of my Life" was pretty good but usually they are so horribly cliched that if the contestant doesn't do too much with it, the song just never comes to life. The contestant does but the song doesn't. I figured they would pick Kara's song and I do like her music usually so I look forward to seeing how good it is and if she avoided making it too cliche, which I think is impossible with an Idol coronation song LOL. I do miss the songwriter's competition though because it tended to produce better stuff and I liked last year how Cook and Archie performed two other songs from the songwriter's contest and we didn't hear the coronation song until the winner was announced. That came off better IMO. Those videos Angie posted were funny, especially the Kimmel one  . I'm so excited about this week though. I'm SHOCKED Carly Smithson will be on the finale. Dare I hope Micheal Johns will be too and we will get another great duet from them? I'm ok with just her but I can dream. I wonder what she will be doing. Can't wait. I also can't wait to see Santana singing with all the Idols and all the other guest performances sound great. David Bowie and Adam is kind of an odd choice. There were rumors of him singing with Kiss or someone similar. I was not expecting Bowie but that is sort of interesting and could be good. Danny and Lionel Ritchie is about what I expected the minute I saw that Lionel was going to be on the show. It's just like Alison/Cyndi Lauper. It's a good match. They will complement each other well. It may be cheesy but I love Lionel Ritchie so I should be able to tolerate it, even with Gokey LOL. Leave it to Paula to keep spilling more details about the show like she has all season. I'm shocked Idol hasn't shut her up yet unless she really is leaving and just doesn't care. Not surprised about Britney Spears. It's likely true, especially with so many outlets reporting it. With the exception of Micheal Jackson (who I expect to be a surprise guest too) and Paul McCartney, she seems to come up just as much in rumors as being on the show to perform, especially around finale time so I've been waiting for this to finally happen. I fully expect her and Micheal Jackson to make surprise appearance and that should be interesting indeed. In a season full of twists/mistakes/trainwrecks, it's kind of fitting that Britney and Micheal Jackson may be performing LOL. I also can't wait for David Cook's performance. I believe this will be his first performance since his brother passed away and maybe it's his first appearance in general since the race for brain cancer the day after his brother died. It was already going to be emotional for him with it being one year since winning but singing a song like that after what recently happened makes it even more emotional and poignant. It will truly be a tear-jerking performance, one that will likely be the highlight of the night IMO. I knew he would be back since the previous winner always comes back and he seems to be one who will be like Carrie and come back alot to Idol but I never expected him to come back for the finale quite like this. I agree this will be a wacky finale and I like that Kara talked in that article. Good to see a judge giving good commentary without bias. Not surprised since she seems to be the most fair and unbiased. Her points about Kris were right on. I see Blake Lewis's only time in the spotlight now is being quoted in articles written about Idol LOL. Talk about having it tough. The show and judges still get the good vs evil finale they wanted only with Kris in place of Danny so now they can use that Angel vs Demon hype that is already so overdone. I'm shocked they aren't trying to cross promote with the movie. I hate that. Why must religions be brought into it? Why must they act like Adam is some kind of goth person or something? Just because the guy is theatrical, wears black alot on stage (he doesn't seem to wear it as much otherwise) and gives moody looks for the camera does not mean he is goth or some kind devil worshiper. Ugh. I do agree that both Kris and Adam will be on the charts (shocked that Lakisha is though) and that it may benefit Adam more to lose. It feels weird that this is the end but it always seems to go fast once we hit top 12. (or top 13 in the case of this year). The show starts off slow with the auditions and builds and builds and then once you hit the top 12, it just flies by week after week. I'm kind of sad but this season, while I have enjoyed it and it's not the worst, is not one of my favorites so I'm ready to move on and hope for better next year. I'm also looking forward to the finale performances, guests, and all the other end of the season stuff. This also means summer is here so that makes me happy too  . |

Perez Hilton Adam Lambert's New Boyfriend! Posted Image This is the dude that Glambert was with when we went to his party at the Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills, and they were very affectionate. He didn't introduce him to us as his boyfriend, but he did call him "my boy". Sweet! He's probably the same dude Lambert was spotted with elsewhere! His name is Drake. And he's a total hottie. Score one for Adam! |
