FINAL Dial Idol Results:

SAFE:
1. Danny
2. Anoop
3. Lil
4. Matt
5. Kris
6. Adam
7. Michael
8. Scott

IN DANGER:
9. Megan
10. Allison
11. Alexis
This is the second week that Allison has been shown that close to the bottom. For whatever reason, people just aren't warming up to her.
See, my issue with that is that DialIdol is always a bit all over the place at this point. I think tonight will give us some idea if Alison really is in trouble. They may have protected her last week but I don't think they will avoid saying she is in the bottom two weeks in a row. They will at times "protect" the person. I think they did that for Archie last year once because they don't want to make one of their faves look bad. Having said that, we'll see. Last week was different with two people going too so that will be something interesting to look for. The Alexis thing will be too. The judges like her. Will they save her?

I also think the judges have not done Alison any favors with where they have put her. They stuck her in the middle last week and second this week. The second slot can be a bad spot this early in the competition even if you sing well. The problem with Alison is you know what to expect. She comes out, sings an edgy rock song well, and that's it. She needs to wow people. Not necessarily change but up her game a bit.

You should be happy with me, Kenny. I came over to your side on Anoop LOL. Loved him last night. I hope he continues to be about his vocals. He can be high energy but he needs to throw some vocals in too. He came off a whole lot better last night and didn't come off so egotistical. I like the way he handled himself and took what the judges said. He didn't whine. He took it in and came out with something better. He didn't cave in completely like Alexis has but he took some of their advice and also did his own thing too. Micheal and Lil could learn from that. and what Danny did. Don't explain yourself or talk back. Just take it in and make adjustments if you feel inclined to so so. They both came off whiney and even Alexis did too. I like her but the whole "Please don't forget me" and "I was doing something different" (stop explaining yourself, people!) annoyed me. It came off as begging. As I said, all three came off like "What? Me? I'm one of the chosen ones. How DARE you bash me?" Hated that.

Also hated that St. Patrick's Day mention with the corny music. Horrible although I did laugh seeing Randy's little arm dance from his chair as the leprechaun music played LOL. Plus, I loved how Ryan got cutoff by one of the intro videos last night. That was funny. The moron tried to introduce someone from the most pit and lost his microphone and hearing device. Idiot. He deserved to be cut off.

My two favorites last night were Anoop and Kris...last week it was Matt. Adam did do Ring of Fire ala Dilana. It was kind of strange, though it makes sense as Adam is pals with Ty who was on RS:INXS. I think the judges want a guy to go if only for the tour, having only three females in the group of ten may be seen as a negative.

Adam Lambert - Terrible. He tried so hard to copy Dilana's version of "Ring of Fire" and it just wasn't good. I hate him.

Amen Kenny!

This is how to make a Johnny Cash song your own
Exactly.

I would vote Adam out on last night alone. Plus, the makeup needs to be toned down. I know he did theater but it needs to stop. It's American Idol. This isn't Broadway show. The makeup only works if it's Queen week or something since they were quite theatrical. His performance actually scared me a bit. Sounded like he was in pain at times or something.

That's a good point. If a guy had to go, I suppose they would want Micheal to go because his stage presence isn't great. That and the others would attract fans to the shows on tour.

Oh and has everyone noticed how during slow songs or ballads, Paula's comments seem better and more to the point? Probably because she doesn't dance during those and can simply listen and pay attention. Just goes to show you if you don't screw around and just pay attention, you can think about your comments and actually make sense. Paula shouldn't screw around during the performances if it's going to make her come off like a incomprehensible, long-winded nutcase. I like her for being a bit off the wall but there isn't time for her babbling and it's beyond old and annoying now so I hope she starts to improve in making her comments and her process for thinking them out.

LoL, I knew you'd wake up and smell the roses eventually! Not liking Anoop was just silliness! :P

I agree with your assessment of Alexis, as well. She came across as very snotty last night, and she's coming across as VERY snotty tonight.

I can't watch tonight

Who's bottom 3?
Michael Sarver, Alexis Grace and Allison Iraheta.

They just sent Allison to sit back down. She's safe.

Well, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I will gladly eat crow because he was great.

There have been hints all night that Alexis is the one gone and the judges practically just said they would save her if she is.

Ugh.

I would of rather seen Michael go home.

It's hilarious how one of the "top four favorites" is now gone, though.

She wasn't really one of my favorites though, so I don't care. Kinda before her time though.

YES, YES, YES!

Alexis the phony is finally gone! That farewell performance sucked like crazy, and I LoL'd at how she tried to dirty up Jolene from last night. Stupid girl.

Also, how fake did the judges deliberations look? Pssh! They knew all along that they wouldn't use it, LoL. Her name wasn't Danny, Lil or Adam, so she was a goner from the start. I'm thrilled!

I dunno if I really see them saving Adam. Simon sure wouldn't be all for it. I'm sure it was Final Five and it WAS Adam they MIGHT just to use the save, but I don't see Adam as safe as people think he is. Simon's the key to it. It has to be unanimous.

Yeah I really hated the way she sang that final song almost begging them to save her. If this is going to be the case every week with the save, then just use it and be done with it. Also agree that she was a phony. She played an image they wanted for her and I just never bought it as really her.

I was actually thinking if they used the save now how would it worked for the tour because the top 10 go on tour. If they had saved Alexis two go home next week. So would the tour be 9 or would all 11 that would have performed been able to go on the tour. For some of these people making the tour is the closest to winning they would get.

I don't think Adam would be a definite save. I think it would depend how close to the final five when it happened and what his actual performance was like. If Simon didn't like the performance, he probably would go with it. However with the other three he could "sing the phone book" and they would love it. If it were closer to the final five and they still didn't use it then I could maybe see using it. They are going to use it at some point simply for the fact they have the chance to use it.

Simon loves Adam. I believe he's said many times that Adam is one of his favorites this season. He just didn't like his performance this week, IMO. But in general, he loves the guy and would jump through fire if it meant saving him, LoL.

So when is Idol on next week, Wednesday/Thursday...8-10 and then 9-10, or not? I understand why they would consider saving Alexis and not Sarver, though I think they were smart to save the veto for another time.

I liked Alexis but I wouldn't have used the vote this early either. If they used it then what would have happened about the tour? Am so happy my Kris gets to go on tour. I hope I get to go this year. Really would love to go since I've never gone on one.

LoL! I totally disagree Kenny. I don't see Adam as a sure bet save, but whatevs. We all know he'll be in the Final Four at this point so ... LoL. Simon's wishy-washy at times. If Adam sings a bad song like he did this week, who knows?

I'm really annoyed by the save in general.

I'm SHOCKED they didn't use it.

She's been pimped since she auditioned. They all said they loved her. There were hints all night they may use it. The thing that worked against her was that her elimination happened so early and I don't think they wanted to bring out that ace yet, especially since they just did a double elimination last week. I think they want to space them out to avoid repetition because it doesn't have the same dramatic element or ratings draw otherwise. I think they all considered using it but they wanted to get things settled for the tour and I honestly think this season will have plenty of chances to use the save so that is probably what factored in here. Simon said it was kind of unanimous so I wonder who wasn't on board with saving her?

I will miss her and think she was so talented but she screwed herself last night. She performed that song tonight much better. Yesterday she was a bit lazy and I do think she was too full of herself yesterday and came off like she was begging. I blame the judges because they made her change who she was and I think she lost herself because of it. She tried to bring a little of herself back out last night and I think it just didn't stick because everyone got used to her being the way the judge's wanted. She proved she had a voice and could sing. Very soulful. She didn't need to be edgy all the time. I hated the judges suggesting she sings songs like "Before He Cheats" because that isn't her. That is Alison. Alexis was versatile and could do edgy or not edgy. I will miss her. I'm glad she was at peace with leaving and she was so classy in defeat, thanking everyone for the opportunity. Probably because she can go back to her daughter and doesn't have to be away from her on tour. I honestly wonder how some of these people with kids will do it.

I also am surprised because I thought they would want to have another girl on tour. There are so many guys. I like both her and Micheal but I would have preferred Micheal go. Micheal sure bought himself some more sympathy votes though with that whole thing with his baby girl. That even make my heart break. You could tell he was emotional and I even think a part of him wanted to go because of his daughter missing him.

I also love how there were hints all night of who the bottom two was. The questions Ryan asked to Alexis and Micheal gave it a way. Always pay attention to that, especially after reading DiaIIdol. It can give you the answers you need beforehand LOL. The minute they started saying there was a surprise or two I figured Alison and Alexis were in the bottom. I guess we can take what DialIdol has been saying the last two weeks a bit more seriously now that Alison was in the bottom three. I hope she does something huge next week to get her over a bit better.

One thing I wondered...since when do they make such a big deal out of the tour? They used to never even bother mentioning it until later on because we all know the top 10 is on tour and the others are not. They started this last year and I guess they just like setting up benchmarks along the way but it seems like making a big deal out of nothing for dramatic effect.

The group performances are getting better (better song choices that can be done individually or as a group rather then trying to force the group to sing a song that only works individually) and I like that they keep finding ways to integrate Scott better. Last week they had Alexis walk with him and this week they went with the piano. Good idea with the piano but quite ironic after Paula and Simon argued about it last night. Scott will miss Alexis for sure because she always was arm and arm with him.

Carrie was great but where the hell was Randy Travis in that song? He just sat there and played guitar. So much for a duet LOL. It reminded me of Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire's duet a few years ago where Reba basically was the only one singing most of the time. They don't click real well. I know they get along (he gave her the news of her Opry induction) but there isn't performance chemistry. At one point, she looked confused as to when she should jump in (no surprise considering it's the first time they've sung it live and since she sang most of the song LOL). I;m also sure he wanted her to have the spotlight since she used to be on Idol. I liked her little video too. Her reading about Simon missing her and her calling that creepy was funny LOL. I didn't like Carrie's hair though. i hope it's just pinned back and not cut because it looks terrible. I also hated the dress because that little flower or whatever that was on it bugged me as did the little flower thing in her hair. Ugh. I didn't mention this yesterday but Randy Travis creeps me out a bit too. He looks horrible and when he stares at people he looks like a stalker. I like him but now.

I'm a country fan but I'm not a big fan of Brad Paisely so I will move on. He bored me and I'm shocked Simon sat there for that.

Glad they showed the video of what the contestants do after results shows. I've always heard about what happens but never saw it. It's so nice that they do a dinner for all the families and for goodbyes to be said. It looks like fun and it seems so nice. It's classy. You also see how close everyone is and this group seems close. The only group that never did was season 5 and, to a lesser extent, season 3.

The Ford videos just suck. They used to be ok but I say just do away with them.

I also liked Lil Rounds's reaction to being safe, especially after her attitude last night. It redeemed her a bit in my eyes that she wasn't so full of herself that she felt immune to elimination. I like that all of them seem a bit humble or at least act surprised when they are saved, although Danny seems to feel a bit too secure at times.

Glad they asked Megan how she was. She looked and seemed better so I'm happy about that. LOL to that video of everyone wearing masks and her face being covered up. Hilarious! I love how when asked why they weren't all covered anymore, Megan said they wanted to all look good LOL. They all still seemed hesistant to go near or touch her, except for Scott (who probably isn't one to treat anyone differently for any reason), but that's expected when someone is sick.

The results shows are better this season though. The hour flies by. Less filler and more to the point. The results are spread out well over the hour. I like the drama the judge's save brings. I like bringing on one guest performer and one former Idol contestant or winner to perform. I like the questions Ryan asks the contestants either to hint at what may be to come or to just gauge reactions. I like ending the show on the goodbye video and not the eliminated person's performance. This way they at least get to perform without being cut off and the last performance actually means something. It is funny how the judges huddled together during Alexis' song. It looked like a quiz show team or something LOL. Alexis did the right thing going right down and singing right to them. Way too give it her all. She will be missed and she definitely left way too early. My heart broke as the show ended on her goodbye video with her and her daughter imitating Ryan's catchphrase. Too cute.

I disagree. I thought she sang the song better and she did right by singing to the judge's. That is the idea.

They forced the image on her. That was never her and she had to do it for them to like her. She's never been comfortable and that has been the issue. She only did it to carry favor with the judge's. Last night she tried to bring more of herself into things and they didn't like her as much. I thought the judge's were wrong to do what they did to her and I hate that they made her change who she was because many people ended up calling her a phony when she's not, at least not by choice. I wish she had told the judge's to go to tell and had just been herself but I can understand why she did it because she wanted them to like her and thought it was for the best. I feel bad for her and it sucks because I feel like one of the most likable ones left. She had a little girl and seemed to genuinely nice. She helped Scott around stage and seemed so caring. She did get a bit full of herself last night but it happens to everyone. Some can get lost in all the glitz and glamour. She's human.

I think they would've ended up sticking with the ten. In other words, whoever got cut first next week was not on tour. The second elimination would be on tour.
