I'm listening to Adam Lambert's recorded version of "Ring of Fire," and once again, he sounds so much better recorded than he does live. He seems to have no vocal restraint when he sings live, but in the studio he sounds much better and much clearer. |

I just read an article detailing a trip that the Idols made to a Motown Museum today (in preparation for next week's theme) and it said that Megan and Michael Sarver were unable to make it due to illness. Looks like he caught her flu, LoL. |

He is definitely someone that listening to doesn't bother me as much as seeing him perform. The image is so distracting that I can't focus on the music. Plus live he seems to lose control and oversings/performs it. I am bet a lot of it the theater in him coming out and the need to project yourself to the audience. Still don't care for him or the song, but I will say that just listening to him is better than what we saw on AI. |

I really liked Adam at first and then he just seem to be too over the top for my taste. |

But if Adam's recorded version is better than his live version...doesn't that mean the producers who are producing the track can work their magic on it? |

I don't think Sarver is sick. He probably just feels guilty after what his daughter said and wants to be with her this week. LOL. |

One of the reasons I like Adam is that he isn't as cookie cutter as some of the other contestants. So many of the finalists this year have kids. I don't remember that as much from the past, it was more random. My faves are Adam, Kris, Anoop and Allison. It's not always about the absolute best technical singer for me more than it is personality and entertainment value and potential. |

Carrie is HOT on Kelly's trail! I am sad Jordin isn't higher than Fantasia or Ruben. Her Album was so good! I love it. |

Here's a little Q&A with Alexis Grace from the day after her boot... Would the judges have saved her if she’d been allowed to sing a song other than Jolene? “Probably. I’m gonna be honest, I think it could have, I think if I sang the first song that I sant, ‘Never Loved a Man’ that maybe I would still be there. I dunno. I think that ‘Jolene’ is a beautiful song and I love to sing it; I don’t think it was their favorite performance. So I didn’t really get to show them and remind them again why they picked me.” She knew she was in the bottom 3, “Knew it before we even got there, I knew the night of the show that I would be in the bottom 3. I just knew it. I had a feeling from what the judges said, and y’know just the way the night went. I had a feeling.” She didn’t get a farewell dinner, “Y’know, they were really busy last night. There was a lot going on, and there wasn’t one.” About letting her state down by botching country music, “I feel kinda like I let my state down, y’know? I’m from the south and we’re supposed to country well and I think I do sing country pretty good, so it was a disappointment, y’know, I kinda let ‘em down a little bit, but I can redeem myself.” Was she disconcerted/upset when Randy forgot her name? “Yeah, a little bit, but I think maybe that’s just his personality maybe? Maybe not because I’m forgettable. Hopefully not, but yeah, I did make a face when he said ‘Allison’. I was like ‘Hmmm.’ It’s Alexis.” She’s closest to Matt Giraud and Megan Joy. Why Megan? “We’re pretty much like the same. We both have like kids the same age, she has a boy, I have a girl and we always joked about how, on tour, our song and daughter would be boyfriend and girlfriend.” ----------------------------------- LoL, I forgot about Randy forgetting her name. |

But I think that is overall sales. Clay has had a couple of albums out where Jordin has only had the one. |

Do any of you watch "Idolatry?" It's a weekly show on EntertainmentWeekly.com where they recap the past week on Idol, and oh my God... hilarious! "Put the GO in Gokey!" "Ghoulish widower." |
