Actually Adam's # was 1-866-IDOLS-08, by dialing 07, you're voting Lil Rounds, who definitely doesn't deserve a vote. So you might wanna take back that "Thank you" to Kenny. Kenny doesn't like Adam and may have given the wrong # on purposes, so you could vote for one of his picks. I doubt it though, it probably was just an honest mistake, I hope.

Paula is irritating the hell out of me the last 2 episodes. She's reverted back to the way she was on the first 2 seasons. I thought she was last season's best judge (shockingly) but not the last 2 shows.

My rankings..........

(1) Adam Lambert ---- " Track of My Tears"--Again showing his professionalism, his awesome talent and stage presence. great, current-sounding version of the Smokey Robinson hit

(2) Danny Gokey----"Get Ready"----I actually thought he was much-improved and back to the way I liked him when he 1st audtioned. I do think he's cocky as well, a little like Taylor Hicks, but much better. I also think he will do good as a Christian artist. Glad to see him come back from last week.

(3) Kris Allen---"How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)"---- another cool, current, and his own version of the Marvin Gaye classic, I agree with the lack of confidence, but only when he's done(and before) singing.

Matt Giraud---"Let's Get It On"---another now-sounding performance, great performance, watch out Justin Timberlake, Matt can give him some competition

(5) Allison Iraheta----"Papa Was a Rolling Stone"----awesome version of the song, made it her own, reminds me of Kelly Clarkson and Pink put together. The 16 year old has IMHO become the best female left in the competition.

Anoop Desai---"Ooh Baby, Baby"----Another nice, cool singing of Anoop, but agree he did look sleepy/bored. He needs to improve his stage presence.

(7) Lil Rounds----"HeatWave"---was my fave girl in the competition, but she's now picking wrong songs, getting to be to sure of herself/bitchy/diva, screamed she did (right on Kara). I think she's getting nervous being on stage. I wouldn't be shocked to see her in the Bottom 3, but I think her fans will keep her out of it (this time). She needs to greatly improve her song choice.

BOTTOM 3...........

TIED...

Michael Sarver -- "Ain't Too Proud to Beg"----bad, Taylor Hicks-like, but not completely horrible to me. Be Glad to see him gone though

Megan Joy----"For Once in My Life"----sung too fast, sounded like she was yelling part of time, pretty, great stage presence, but yet again, absolutely horribly wrong song choice.

Scott MacIntyre----"You Can't Hurry Love"---very amature sounding, karaoke, I give him props for not doing a ballad, but was corny. I will be glad to see this guy gone soon, maybe tomorrow night.

I'll predict Michael gone, with Scott in the Bottom 2 with him.

Ooh, I see we have a conspiracy theorist in our midst! LoL.

Sorry to disappoint, but I didn't give the wrong number on purpose. It was an honest mistake.

I loved Adam again tonight!! I am glad that he finally sang softer and wasn't over the top at all.

I really liked Allison, Matt, and Kris too. I am getting sick of Danny! Something about him bugs me.

I hope Megan or Michael go.

Finally Adam done what I have been wanting him to do: Show us he has range! Last week with Ring of Fire he just pissed me off because it wasn't true country. It was like he was singing a song Johnny Cash wrote and his interruption of it was by Daugherty. This week he had soul, class, charm and sex appeal to boost!!

Can Danny please just leave!! I liked him at the audition and a little in Hollywood Week, but damn! That jumping around is annoying to me!

And I swear if either one of the Matt's play behind that damn piano one more time!!!

I hate to say this, but

ADAM! was the best of the night for me. Thank God he toned down that atrocious screaming...not even toned it down - eliminated it!

Tonight was a weird night. Some were awful, but most were on the same level.

Again, I really don't know who will be going home.

Here we go...

Loved the clips of the visit to Motown. That had to be quite the experience with all the history there. Lil Rounds seem to get real emotional. Loved the appearance by Goody and Robinson and their comments. Smokey was great and he did seem to help out or tried to, especially with Micheal. I just hope at some point this season we get a mentor like Andrew Lloyd Webber last year who is actually quite blunt and not so nice LOL.

One other thing...I'm stunned the show still had to be rushed a bit at the end. They clearly wanted to get some commentary from Smokey and all but they had 10 singers and two hours and they still had trouble. As funny as the Paula and Simon stuff was (I still can't believe he drew on her face with those crayons LOL), shit like that takes time and I wish Paula would just let Simon and Randy have their opinions! Christ, she steals their comments and says the exact same things as them some of the time but when she disagrees she has to act like they are wrong for having their opinion. Ugh. I'm also annoyed by the constant booing whenever the judges hate someone. I expect it from fans of that singer but you know that everyone is a fan of that singer LOL. Let the judges do what they are paid to do people! I loved Kara telling the audience to hold on with the booing because she is trying to give constructive criticism.

I still want to know why Paula was carrying the coloring book and crayons in the first place LOL. She must have planned this after her and Simon's little fight last week.

I was happy to see the backup vocalists on stage like that. They always seem to do that when the theme suits having them more present and I liked it. It suited the night's theme well and looked cool.

Now, on to the contestants.

Matt: Don't you just love when you get the pimp slot last week and end up first this week? LOL. He was great. Good song. I cringed when I saw him on the piano because it was getting repetitive and, unlike Scott, he has no justifiable reason to be behind that every week. I loved him starting with the piano and then going on his own. It worked out well and he commanded attention and that is what you have to do when you go in the first or second slots on the night. You have to make sure your not forgettable. Good job. He is going from darkhorse to a frontrunner, at least to me.

Kris: Poor Kris always seems to get shitty performance slots. He is usually either second or third or in the middle after one of the pimped singers goes so the guy has to work harder to make sure he doesn't flop. It was also nice that they finally separated him and Alison. These two were performing back to back every time, sometimes in the same segment. It was like they were a package deal or something LOL. He did ok though. Not as good as last week but solid enough. Kenny is right in that it was a tad forgettable but I think that is because he had the misfortune of getting lost in the shuffle, which usually happens to at least one person for week. I think he chose the right song and did fine. I am sick of them constantly showing his wife, who is pretty but come on. Ever since Simon made that comment about his wife, we see her at least 5 times a performance. Annoying! I did agree with Simon that Kris needs to work on his confidence and star power. He needs to bring those qualities to the stage. I like that he smiled and showed more personality both in his performance and before and after it, including in the video clips.

Scott: Oy. Same song, different verse. I feel bad for him in a way because I think he knows this is as good as it gets for him. The guy has a nice voice but he seems afraid to be without the piano. He looked so awkward and lost without it early on and I think he is set in his ways, which is why he didn't back down to Paula's comments, for which I give him some props for sticking to his guns despite the pressure many feel to appease the judges. It's who he is and I know he mentioned sometimes not getting the song he wants but I think he settles for just being safe. He said he had another song picked out and I agree with the judges that it would've been better. I think he knows his run is nearing an end but he should be proud he got this far and it's amazing what he can do. I just don't see him doing any better or any different. I think he is capable but he wants to be who he is and do what he feels will definitely work and that just won't win over enough people in the end. The song choices are always similar and you know what you will get. He will do ok but he will be forgettable as far as performance. If not this week, I think next week may be it for Scott.

Megan: Dreadful. She did her best when she was sick. One positive is she didn't do the annoying sway dance move this week and her stage presence was better. She looked great and got back her unique look. She's alot of fun and I like her attitude toward everything. She just chose a bad song for herself that just did not work with who she was and it was a mess. She's in danger big time this week but I don't think she will go yet. She will definitely be the next girl gone but there are only 3 left so I think she has another week or two left before her exit, despite her limitations vocally.

Anoop: I'm still liking him much better and still think he's a darkhouse to win this thing. The song choice was ok but I don't think he did as much with this song as he did with the song he chose last week. The other issue is both performances the last two weeks were VERY similar so he needs to be careful. I think he is fine as long as he shows his vocals. I don't want him to go back to uptempo stuff that shows us nothing but him prancing around the stage and looking cocky. As Randy said, he can pick up the pace and still show vocals. Anoop is doing better and I hope that continues. He was just a bit boring this week. Good but not great but he's on the right track and should be fine as long as the vocals show. He has a great fanbase too and I like his attitude. He has alot of confidence and that is a good thing.

Micheal: What a difference a few weeks make. I think Micheal is SO going home this week. They need to lose a guy or two before another girl goes anyway. I just wish he left last wee to spare Alexis. I was a big fan of his but he's not even the same guy the past two weeks. He's picking songs too big for him or that don't do him any favors. He's showing how he lacks a bit in his vocal range. The notes almost cut off halfway through. He can;t hold them. He's coming off cocky and egotistical IMO, which is hurting his nice guy image that I liked. The way he is performing with his head bobbing and movements is similar to Taylor Hicks only Taylor actually put more into his performance. I don't feel Micheal put anything into it this week. I almost think he wants to go home. Maybe that comment by his little girl last week hurt him so much he tanked on purpose this week? Who knows. I continue to be annoyed too by everyone saying he is soul or R&B. For me, he's country. Just making horrible song selections and he didn't even seem to listen to Smokey, who wanted him to go higher with the song. As Kara said, he didn't make it as powerful as it should've been. The song ate him up. I still wonder what Simon meant by that "playing games" comment. It almost made me think Micheal was no longer serious about this and that is the feeling I've been getting the past two weeks. Maybe this is about his little girl and him wanting to go home. I think he will be getting his wish.

Lil Rounds: As I said, she was setup to be the shining star this week. This theme suits her and they even emphasized her reaction to the Motown stuff in the video clips and her intro. It clearly had a profound affect on her. When I heard what she was singing, I thought it would work but it didn't. It was just like last week only a bit better overall. She really came on at the end of the song but it was still too fast and there was no way for her to slow it down enough to be able to show her vocals properly. I think Simon was right in that she clearly was paying homage to Motown and it's history, hence the way she performed it and her look. I thought she looked AMAZING tonight. I hope she keeps that look. Reminds me of Syesha's transformation at the end of last season. You could tell she wanted to stay true to the melody and to the history of Motown and the song, which is fine. I think that is why she kind of sat back and took the criticism, which is the way to go as I said. I was happy to see her and Micheal do that and explain things a bit once the judges were done. I think she did ok enough. She wasn't bad and the song was uptempo so she's still doing ok but she needs to get back on track fast before some of the weaker talent is all gone and she becomes vulnerable.

Adam: As I said, I'm not on the bandwagon yet but what a difference. I think he must have saw some of the reactions to last week and realized he lost alot of votes so he did a 180 that was needed. I'm not saying he should not be who he is but the over the top crap and the screeching needs to go. I saw tonight how talented he is and saw actual vocals. It was nice to see and, hopefully, he continues this route. He doesn't have to be soft but he needs to show restraint and needs to NEVER pull the shit he did last week. He wasn't even like the same person. I did think the slicked back hair looked weird because it doesn't suit his face but whatever. It's about the singing. Good song choice and liked the way it was performed with the performers on the instruments out on stage with him. His situation is simple. Show off true vocals while staying restrained and staying true to who he is. If he does that, I can get on board with him. I appreciate his not being so cocky, unlike Danny, and he looks right at the judges and listens to them, unlike Danny. It shows respect and class on his part.

Danny: Meh. I like that he varies his song choices but between the pimping and his ego...he's on thin ice with me. I started liking him last week but this week...wow. As I said, Danny thinks he has this thing won and it annoys me. I'm starting to feel the way I did about Archie when it comes to him. I don't like when contestants get that good old sense of entitlement and start doing whatever the hell they feel like doing and ignoring the judges just because they think it's their title already. He doesn't even look at the judges when they speak to him. He is looking all around and you can tell he is acting like he's already a successful artist who is performing at his own concert. I'm surprised we don't hear him talking endlessly about singing songs with a good message and so on and so forth like Archie and some others did last year. That shit annoyed me and I'm just waiting for him to do it because he's the only one with the ego thing going on enough for me to see him doing it. Ugh. He was ok. The song was fine but whatever. That little bit with him dancing with the backup singers was just too stupid for words as well. Further proof he already feels the title is his.

Alison: FANTASTIC! Best of the night! perfect song choice. I was so happy when I heard she picked it. She didn't have a HUGE moment (hopefully that will come) but she had enough of a moment. She needed that and having the pimp slot was all the better so she could leave a lasting impression. To me, she's the best girl left and probably the best singer left in my eyes. She can sing anything but she is also unique and her stage presence is amazing. She commands the stage and this week she brought it. She always does well but she needed something big and she did enough to say she did something big. The end of that song was great! Her personality and look reminds me of Kelly Clarkson too. I've felt that way since I saw her. What was so very refreshing was seeing how she dealt with the judges. She could've just stood there impatiently or even cringed but she actually engaged with them. She laughed and played along when Simon drew a mustache on Paula's face, asking why he did it (which reminded me of the way Kelly Clarkson used to interact with the judges in season 1). She was playful and fun. It was natural and genuine. She showed maturity while also showing her youth and exuberance. She's having fun and taking it seriously but not too seriously. I was very impressed with her in all facets tonight.

My bottom 3 would be Megan, Scott, and Micheal with either Micheal or Scott going but I say Micheal since he's fallen completely off the rails (wish we could trade him for Alexis). Let him go back to his daughter. I think tomorrow is it for Micheal and that the bottom 3 should be similar if not exactly like mine. The person who gets eliminated usually has the perfect song to leave the competition with and Micheal's seems suited for an exit LOL. Once he is gone, I expect the other two to follow accordingly unless Kris slips up. I can still see him being vulnerable should he have a bad week.

The lineup tomorrow night sounds great. Smokey and Joss Stone should be great but I'm shocked Ruben will be there. Sure, he suits the Motown theme and it will be nice to see him but I've read Jennifer Hudson was taping her return to Idol performance after tonight's performance show and it was said she would perform it on the results show, unless something changed or they plan to make it a surprise. We'll see but tomorrow night should be good.

Voting should be nearing it's end on the west coast but there is a big gap on DialIdol between who is supposedly safe and who is the bottom three so it's safe to post the results I think.

So...

Loved Adam and Allison! I just love when there are at least two great performances in one night...LOL. I also liked Anoop and Danny. Lil and Matt were fine. I wanted Danny to sing a Marvin Gaye song...but, whatever. Kris is a cute kid, but always forgettable to me. Same for Megan. I don't really have a comment on the other two.

Paula...shut the hell up once in a while...LOL.

Joss Stone...

For me Kris always stands out to me. Scott is so boring it's not funny.I couldn't even watch all of his performance last night I had to turn my station for a few seconds.I agree with Simon on what he said to Kris. Even thou He is one of my favorites.I don't really care for Michael but my sister loves him.I liked Adam, Kris, Matt, and Allison the best last night. I usually like Danny but last night didn't like him at all. Anoop was ok the rest I didn't care for at all. I wish Scott would go home. But I'll be ok if it was either Megan or Michael that goes home. The rest I think should be safe. I just hope Kris stay's around for at least a few more weeks.

The only standouts for me last night were Adam and Danny - they are the only performances I actually remember. The rest for me apparently were not rememberable. Danny has great vocals and he is an entertainer. Adam shakes it up and surprises you. I liked him so much better last night then his other performances. I really like Kris and Matt - but I can't even remember what they sang. I know that Allison sang last but I can't remember her performance at all. So for me the top two are Danny and Adam and I can't even give you the third slot I used to think it was Lil but not so much anymore. Who will go home my guess it will be Michael. Bottom three: Michael, Megan and Scott.

There were a few surprises for me last night.

I absolutely loved Matt and Kris's performances (no surprise there).

Really did not care for Scott's, it reminded me of Phil Collin's version and I didn't dig it. (kinda surprised because I have generally enjoyed him).

Megan Joy sucked ASS, and I found her really arrogant when Ryan asked her about the judges comments and she said, "my fans are still there, so give a call guys". UGG. Seriously, bitch? You think you have THAT MANY fans to overcome your absolute SUCKITUDE? Send her home!!!

I really enjoyed Anoop. I love that song, first of all, and I thought he sang it really well. There were a couple spots that were weak, and I agreed that he needed to up the performance factor because that part was a bit boring, but overall I thought it was a solid performance.

Michael needs to go. Another one with a suck-ass performance and an arrogant attitude.

I was absolutely stunned that I really, really, really enjoyed Adam's performance. For the first time ever, I really loved what he did. He looked great, he toned it way down, he made it his own still. It was fantastic. This time I thought he deserved all the praise he got.

Lil. *sigh* Poor Lil. I thought she sang the hell out of that song, but I thought the song didn't do her justice. It was too fast, and it seemed like she was trying to catch her breathe through the whole thing. She looked and sounded fantastic, but I agreed with the judges, it was the wrong song choice.

Danny. Oh how I love my Danny. This was the first performance of his that underwhelmed me, though. I thought it was good, but it didn't stand up to what a lot of others brought this week. I hope he comes back next week stronger.

Allison. Holy shit balls. That girls can SANG. I think she blew everyone else away.

I thought it was a good show, overall. My top five may have changed a bit. Before last night's show I picked Danny, Matt, Kris, Anoop, and Lil as my top 5. After last night, I might have to switch out Anoop for Adam (IF he keeps it toned down), and Lil for Allison. Next week could change me again though, which tells me this is a good group, because it is not all so completely predictable.

I felt like I was having a Taylor Hicks flashback when Danny sung.....

Adam did really well and looks a lot better without all that theatrical makeup and messy hair.

Allison was GREAT! :cheer:
All we needed was a "woooo" half way through and it would have been Taylor 2.0

Like I thought, Motown was my favorite theme so far! LOVED IT!

And yes, like everyone else, I did like Adam too. Now, I didn't LOVE him like most of you, I liked him. And no, I didn't NOT think he was the best of the night. I actually thought Matt Giraud was the best. It was amazing! Also, I loooved Kris again!

Alison I thought was okay during her high notes, but her low notes were weird.

Danny was okay, but he needs to do something slower next week.

Lil was most disappointing for me. She was not bad in any way, but I just expected her to totally blow me away this week. She was okay, but nothing special. I mean, she has the voice, but..

Anoop was boring.

Bottom three: Scott, Sarver and Megan. But I do not want Megan to leave, simply because we don't have many girls left and she was no better or worse than Scott or Sarver, so I would go with one of them. I do think it's going to be Sarver.

Oh and I just hate how the judges have clearly put Adam and Danny in the finals already (especially Adam). I hope Adam is a shocking elimination this year :D
