Was just over at iTunes listening and Adam's version there does not sound ANYTHING like his on the show! Very sad and did anyone else notice that Danny's wedding ring came OFF this week. Don't know if it was off last week, I wonder if he heeded the advice Simon gave to Kris about keeping the wife away and thought he should go for that "hunk" appeal?

Maybe I heard it wrong, but I thought I remember Ryan saying that you could buy the songs with contestants singing with the original Motown music or something like that. I remember when he said it I thought it was odd. I just went to listen to the previews of others and it is like they just took the AI contestants voice and put it over the music tracks of the originals. Some work like Adam's, but others are weird.

From MJsBigBlog:

Next week, the Top 9 finalists – Kris Allen, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Megan Joy, Adam Lambert, Scott MacIntyre and Lil Rounds – will return to the IDOL stage to perform Tuesday, March 31 (8:00-9:20 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Tune in the following night Wednesday, March 26 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) to find out if the judges use their save or if America sends another finalist home. Also, David Cook returns to the IDOL stage to perform his new single “Come Back to Me,” and pop sensation Lady Gaga takes the stage to sing her hit “Poker Face.”
Wednesday has me more excited then Tuesday...... :cheer:

I think that's a tall prediction, Kenny. Not that I completely disagree, but let's be real, it's only a matter of when in terms of Scott and Megan getting the boot. And then it's likely Kris, Anoop and Matt who goes. So any of them five going in the next five weeks, I won't be surprised in the least.

Isn't it sad that Idol's become THIS predictable? I hope I'm proven wrong, though. I hope though, that Allison sticks around. For some reason, I'm worried she'll be a shocking boot down the line.

Right now, I'm going to venture a guess that the top four will be Allison (but I could see any one of Kris/Anoop/Matt sneaking in), Lil, Adam and Danny.

Just a few tidbits...

Apparently, Danny Gokey has been back in Wisconsin over the last couple of days because his grandfather just passed away. Will they pimp that like they did his dead wife?

A few pictures of Kris Allen have leaked on the internet that are somewhat homolicious, LoL. In the shots, he's kind of "close" to some guy friends, putting his crotch on them and laying in the middle of a five man sandwich.

Meanwhile, an interview with Diane Warren (very popular songwriter) has been posted in which she heaps loads of praise on Adam Lambert here.

Also, a few song spumors for tomorrow's song choices...

ADAM LAMBERT - "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley
MATT GIRAUD - "Apologize" by OneRepublic
ANOOP DESAI - "Caught Up" by Usher

Meh. Not a big deal in all honestly. My two roommates were like that all of the time and believe me, they were as straight as could be. Boys will be boys, and I'm sure alcohol plays a role, LoL!

Kris and Allison are my favorites, honestly. I think they're the dark-horses, and I'm rooting for them.

LoL, I found this article quite accurate.

MSNBC

Tell me sweet little ‘American Idol’ lies

“This is a singing competition.”

In fact, “American Idol” is a popularity contest and, more to the point, a television show in search of ratings. It’s easy to see the confusion here, what with all of the singing done by the contestants and the fact that the grand prize is a record contract. The problem is, viewers are encouraged to vote using whatever criteria they want: singing ability, looks, hometown pride, pity over sick family members/blindness/dead spouses, etc. But what makes it a flat-out lie is the way the show admits time and again that it’s just not true. Countless judges’ comments have started off “You’re not the best singer in this competition, but what I like about you is...,” and they often express surprise when cannon fodder contestants actually deliver strong performances. If “Idol” were a singing competition, there’d be no voting, the judges would all be highly trained professionals and nobody would watch it.

Has anyone noticed how much Danny likes to point at the audience when he sings? It's really quite annoying. Everytime he hits the big power notes, he points furiously at the audience as if he's trying to stab every one of their eyeballs out before the note ends.
