It could change. It fluctuates.

I'll be really pissed if Kris goes over Scott.

I think I know what didn't blow me away about Adam's performance. He sang the song in falsetto from start to finish. I think if he sang it in a lower register with less falsetto, I would've enjoyed it alot more.

I'd like to know why Lil Rounds is still so high.

She was flat tonight. She's been flat for the last 3+ weeks. There's no reason for her to be getting so many votes each week.

I'm worried for Kris. DialIdol has been 100% correct in predicting who goes home this season and Kris has been in last place since the lines opened. :(

Her fanbase is very strong.

I also think it may be because she is the only African-American male or female left. Hell, she is one of the few girls left and they've pimped her since day one. I think people feel bad for her because of her backstory too.

I don't expect Kris to make a come back. Either DialIdol will be way off (which I doubt considering the margins between some of the contestants) or he is gone tomorrow. There is a large difference between him and Scott and voting does not fluctuate that much. Usually, if there are gaps in the voting right away, it stays that way. It looks like the second slot in the performance order may claim another victim. It's seems the first and second slot are death slots.

It looks like we will find out if the judges will save Kris or not. Ironic since we discussed this very topic earlier today LOL.

Just getting around to the show and have some thoughts.

First what is really bugging me about the show this season is that it seems to be more about the judges than anything else. All this time spent on them giving comments, the shots of Paula dancing and their “chatter”. Then you have them one singer saying “I like how you changed it up” and then for the next “I miss that thing we liked about you.”

Danny: Same as usual for me. Nothing exciting

Kris: I didn’t think it was as bad as they judges they made it. I guess I didn’t understand Randy’s comment about it being more about the music. The music is just as important as the singing. It is the entire package in the performance. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t that bad either. I give him props for going away from the original version.

Lil: And let me continue from my comment from Kris here. All she did a karokee version of the song. So here is someone that kept it in the “hot version” and didn’t change it. She got butchered for doing the opposite of what Kris did. I do have to wonder if she is getting other advice because for the last couple of weeks she has been all over. Isn’t this the third week we have heard say that she is going to show them next week if she comes back.

Anoop: Just is better on these slow songs, but it does get boring. I know he wants to be this hip R&B singer, but he just doesn’t have the soul to do it. He just isn’t “street” enough for it.

Scott: Another one that I can listen more than watch perform. Give him credit for playing a guitar. Think it would have been better if he just stood at the mic.

Allison: I think she is good, but I don’t know what it is that I am not 100% crazy about her. I think I have to agree with Simon. There just hasn’t been anything that reached out to me. Don’t see the Kelly Clarkson comparison either.

Matt: Totally got his piano player vibe without the piano. He had a definite swagger about him tonight which was great to see. My favorite tonight.

Adam: Good thing that I automatically add extra time on the DVR. Right now it is saying 1:03 and Adam hasn’t even sung yet. Still not crazy about Adam, but again at least he keeps me interested compared to everyone else this season. Just too theatrical for me. I bet he would be fantastic on Broadway because I don’t think he really needs to put much effort into to project his voice to the audience and sell the song. The guy is a performer. Thank God he has toned down the make-up and jewelry because the last couple of weeks I have been able to just hear him sing.

Regarding Lil, that's just it. What fanbase? On every board I visit, there's not one person I've found who really loves her, yet she consistently gets all these votes, LoL. I think she's getting ghost votes.

As for Kris, I agree. The rankings usually fluctuate a little bit, but they won't fluctuate enough to save Kris, IMO. I think he's a goner, and hopefully the judges will save him tomorrow. But even then, we'll still have to deal with Scott for yet another week. Gag.

I wasn't sure what to think of Adam, and I still don't. I will say I'm glad he's toned it down.

I'll be so sad to see Kris go if he goes tomorrow night :(

Lil was pimped from the start. She DOES have a good voice, but I agree it's been flat, and the fact is, she's one of the two girls left (and again, pimped from the start) and she's the sole African American left. That alone explains why she's still here. With that said, I would STILL prefer to see at least Scott go before her (AND Kris). And even after Scott, I'd probably STILL prefer Anoop. But Lil's dropped for me. Kris and Allison are way ahead of her in my books.

Well, there is clearly a fanbase because she is locked in to pretty much the same position in the voting each week. As I explained, there is plenty of reasons for there to be a fanbase for her and just because you don't see much in the way of positive response to her online doesn't mean she has no fanbase. You can't use the Internet as the only evidence of things LOL.

VFTW is helping Scott but I don't think they are helping him alot because it's not like he is near the top of the voting. With Megan gone, I'm sure they will help him more now with them focused on just him but I don't think they are impacting him that much. I think the sympathy vote is going a long way though.

Kris is donezo though. The gap is not decreasing at all. I guess this makes for an interesting results show tomorrow. Kris was not one of the judge's faves until the past few weeks and he had a down night tonight and will have to sing that same song. That is the problem though. I wish they could just pick something else to sing because it's sort of unfair. Regardless, they pretty much make up their mind beforehand anyway so we'll see what happens. Will they use the save on him and risk putting one of their faves from day one (Danny, Adam Lil) in jeopardy in the coming weeks? Looks like we have actual drama for tomorrow now.

Yep.

And I think if this were seasons 1-4...Kris, Alison, and Matt would be the judge's favorites. Hell, the judges would not even play favorites. Sure, they made predictions and shit back then but they didn't manipulate as much and the pimping was not out of control. It was about who was the best and who proved it on stage. Period. They've gotten away from that big time and got lucky in seasons 6 and 7 with Jordin and David.

Kris, Alison, and Matt (and maybe Adam too) are the only people who are interesting and who you can honestly say are artists. They show originality and switch things up. The others are bland, all over the place, or just plain average.

The judges will use the save on Kris. They have to use it before Top 6, right? That's two weeks from now.

They aren't going to use it on Scott, and they know that if he doesn't go this week he'll probably go next week -- so that's another week that would go by without using the save. They WANT to use it to create buzz for the show, but they also know that there's no chance Adam or Danny will be voted out before Top 6 so they'll never be able to use it on their chosen ones. As a result, they're gonna have to use it on a second tier pick -- someone like Kris, Matt or Allison. They only have two weeks left.

Totally agreed.

Danny's all over the place (good, then mediocre, then okay again), Lil's been very flat and bland and not to mention predictable, Scott's just bad every week with minor moments where you think ... maybe, and then, nope. Anoop's like Danny, good, then mediocre, then okay again.

Kris, Matt, Allison and Adam are definitely the best of the competition, unfortunately, Kris, Matt and Allison aren't major fan favorites. Just the way it shakes out, sadly enough.

Actually, if DialIdol is to be believes, Kris has been doing very well with the fans, much better then Alison and Matt. Definitely more consistent. Alison jumped to third the week she went last and jumped to third tonight. Otherwise, she has been low. It should be noted, though, that Katherine McPhee had that happen to her alot in season 5 and got to the finale and Syesha was in the bottom 3 or 2 multiple times last year and got to the top 3. Anything can happen. Matt does do a bit better then Alison in voting as well so I think he just pretty much set up to be middle of the pack, sadly.

One thing that is interesting besides the fact that once again this year the first and second spots in the performance order seem to be death slots is that it seems like the person who goes after Danny always seems to be in danger too. Alison went after him last week and ended up in danger and Kris went after him this week and now he looks to be a goner. Not to mention, Kris went between Danny and Lil, both of whom have big fanbases. I think going after people like Danny and Adam hurts the others because they usually get all the pimpage and attention and usually are never boring. People get wrapped up in the both of them and what is being said and so on and forget about the person after because they are still thinking about Danny or Adam. It's just interesting to see how these little things play into all this.

I really hope Kris doesn't go. I do think they may save him if it is him though.

I don't see why performance order should matter (Randy did mention a week or two ago too). I like who I like, it doesn't matter what order they sing in for me at all. I would think that by now that the majority of viewers would have their favorites too. I guess not.

I shouldn't matter and I don't think it does for many of those on this board and some others. At the risk of sounding like I'm talking about a presidential election, it's really the swing voters who are most impacted by performance order.

You have people who actually vote based on the best of the night as opposed to having a consistent favorite, which I guess is the point of the show. It's up to the contestants to bring it week after week to be the best every week so, if they aren't, they should not get your vote but that isn't how most people vote. They vote for their faves or vote based on what they have seen so far as a whole, which is actually far in a way since people can have bad weeks.

The other thing to is you have people who vote for more then one person or have a favorite but still vote for others they may like too. The order of the performance may matter with them as they may find themselves easily forgetting someone that went earlier in the night because they are paying more attention or getting wrapped up in their main favorite or some of the others.

I guess, but I remember the ones I liked a lot and the recap at the end really helps too.

Oh, same here, but the issue is not everyone is like us LOL.

The recap, actually, plays a big role. Alot of times they use stuff from the rehearsals in it or they show a part of the performance that was not so good and that hurts a contestant big time. In other words, the recap is a way for Idol to manipulate voters to vote how they want them to as well LOL.
