LIL ROUNDS - Definitely her best performance of the season, but still not as good as the original. She fell off tune in some parts, but compared to her previous performances, she sounded amazing, LoL. Overall though, it was pretty average.

Paula translated: It was a good effort and you should be thankful to get this far, but I think this is the end of the road.

Wow, Lil's getting rather mouthy with Simon, LoL.

UGH! The show is already running over, and we've still got Paula interrupting Simon's critique. Just shut up you stupid pill-popping bitch!

Well, in fairness to her, Simon asked for it because he wanted to know what she was telling Ryan. I think she looked upset and Ryan asked if she was ok and she just started venting to Ryan. I remember someone saying that Ryan will comfort them or give them kind wishes after the performance and sometimes the person will vent to him when the judges get hard on them.

Having said that, both her and Danny have had egos for weeks and Danny just doesn't seem to care what they say but Lil does. She got mouthy earlier this season and then shut her mouth until tonight. She was wrong though because she really did nothing special to the song. The song is beautiful and she sang it well so I agree it was easily her best vocal performance but it was not her. That song does not suit her and it all comes off wrong. She just can't seem to grasp what the judges are trying to tell her. Either that or she just doesn't care and acts like she does, which would explain why week after week she promises change and ends up doing the same thing or worse week after week. This week, she acted like she did something to the song she didn't so that was even worse LOL.

On the night, it was a pretty solid night. Alot of slow songs so most seemed to play it safe but it was easily the best night of the season thus far in terms of song choice and vocals. No one was really all out awful.

He didn't hate her at the start. He loved her performance of the Mary J. Blige song. He gave her chance after chance and only started really getting harsh on her the past few weeks, much like the other judges. It also doesn't help that she has a huge ego and keeps promising change and ends up getting worse or making the same mistakes. Hell, this week she claimed that she added different elements to the song that she clearly didn't LOL.

For Kris Allen to be that low after tonight's performance is an absolute CRIME!

Meanwhile, just like I said... the three people that Simon didn't get a chance to critique are in the Bottom 3.

I don't like the way they did the judging at all. I really hope they get rid of Kara for next season, she is not needed!

I didn't like Alison or Lil tonight. I thought the rest were ok, and Adam is still my favorite by far.

I saw Lauren Koslow too.

I just don't understand Randy. I thought Kris sung that song really wonderful. I didn't think it was picky at all. He was my favorite. And then Anoop and Allison, then Adam Danny then Matt and Lil last.

I just checked the updated numbers and now Anoop is above Alison.

On the night, the bottom 3 should be Matt, Anoop, and Lil but I think you can easily flop Kris for Anoop because it really was one of those tough nights where no one tanked.

The Simon thing is interesting. I know he has a major influence on things but this proves that. He can either hype someone up or bring someone down. He can sway voters. If he trashes something, he can mobilize a fanbase but he can also convince others not to vote for that person because they are awful. If he praises something, it can cause a fanbase to be complacent or convince others to vote for that person because they are good.

As Angie alluded to, the judging was stupid. I'm glad Simon mentioned that the girls were the problem (the audience was too but really nothing that can be done there) and I'm not shocked because he's been commenting on the time issue all week and how the girls ramble on. Paula and Kara's reactions were pretty funny though. Anyway, why didn't they just tell them all to keep their comments short and to the point? I wish they would keep it simple and stop fiddling around. I hate what they did tonight because we missed getting everyone's comments and I also hate how they have randomized the order the judge's make their comments. They've been doing this since the last time Simon bitched about time. The order is Randy, Kara, Paula, and Simon. Keep it that way and tell them all to be quick and to the point. That's all.

If they also want to save time, they can save all the Coca Cola sponsored interviews and judges/Ryan banter until results show night where it belongs. Same goes for the Quentin Tarantino background video. I can understand why they aired it tonight but you can do that and have all the needless filler. If you are going to air it tonight, you cut the filler down. If you can't do that, then air the Tarantino video tomorrow. Doing all this easily saves about 5 minutes. I can't complain about the intro pieces before each contestant sang because they were quite short tonight.

Tarantino did a very good job tonight though. Just as good a job as when he was a guest judge in season 3. He actually gave the contestants advice on their performances and helped them get better and they all actually seemed to listen. So far, he and Andrew Lloyd Webber are the only ones who seemed the most active and influential. Quentin really did great and he was very helpful.

I think Matt Giraud's going bye-bye. Kris Allen will get more text votes than him.

My rankings.

(1) ADAM LAMBERT----- Again by far the best. IMHO this week, he's waay ahead of the rest. Again he took a classic "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf, and made it his own.

(2) ALLISON IRAHETA ------Probably her best performance to date.

(3) LIL ROUNDS ---- I think Simon was right about Lil not being the artist we thought she was, HOWEVER she did pull off "The Rose". Maybe too little, too late.

(4) ANOOP DESAI----One of his best performances to date

(4) KRIS ALLEN-----made up for last week, his "Falling Slowly" much better than the original, I sure hope DialIdol is not right, he sure doesn't deserve bottom 2----better

BOTTOM 2............

(6) DANNY GOKEY better ----than expected, but I don't get why he would be the #1 vote getter. Adam is far, far more talented than him, and is much, much more entertaining and has far more stage presence.

(7) MATT GIRAUD---I like Matt, but he was by far the worst this week, and is probably going home tomorrow.

Not me. She's been high every week.

I'm glad to see Adam Lambert below her, LoL. The bad news is that Danny Gokey has re-claimed his spot at the top, which I don't think he's had for the past couple of weeks.
