Haha. Thank God! I can't stand this two hour shit anymore. LOL. I just want this season to be over, for some reason. It's one of the most talented top five's EVER, I think, but they can't hold a candle to Adam in the eyes of the judges or the voters so what's the point. LOL. |

I agree. Kris, Allison and Matt are all great. Danny's decent. But we all know who's going to win this season, so everything between now and the finale is kind of pointless. |

Everyone thought Chris Daughtry was a lock in season 5 and he got eliminated in the top 4. That is just one example. Anything can happen. Regardless, I'm sure Adam will probably win because he has all the buzz and will attract the most attention, which means probably better sales. That is how Cook was last year. Not sure if he will have a long ranging career yet but I do think at first he will do very well. I'm just not ready to write off this season yet. So many wrote off last year thinking Archie had it and look what happened. I figured they were singing two songs this week. I thought with all the time problems this year they may wait until top 4 but whatever. If they use the same format they did last week with no filler, they should be ok. It's ok to go 2-3 minutes over. Even DWTS goes over a little. The only week they went way too far was when they went nearly 10 minutes over. That was atrocious. I'm still dreading this week's theme but hopefully I will be surprised like I was during disco week. Concerning Kris, he really is a surprise in that nobody knew who the hell he was until the performance shows. We never seen him in auditions or during Hollywood week, I believe. Usually, when that happens, you have no chance since all the pimped out contestants are known and remembered as opposed to those that aren't who are forgotten. Kris gave a nice performance and got into the top 12 and with each week he's shown himself to be more and more talented in that he keeps showing more originality and more range. Having said that, I do think his fanbase is one that could get complacent. I've been waiting for it to happen and it still hasn't. That is why it did surprise me seeing him so low on DialIdol but, of course, that was proven wrong. My feeling is he will get to the top 3 but it would not shock me if his fanbase gets complacent and he either ends up eliminated or at least in danger in the next two weeks. I don't see Matt outlasting him. I think this will be his week. They will want to have at least one girl left as long as they can and she seems a stronger competitor for the top 4 then Matt, who is too inconsistent. The judge's had to be nice to him last week because they saved him and they would look like fools but I really think he will get thrown under the bus by them this week so they can get the final 4 they want. Matt is really the only one left I can't see the judges or the show wanting to keep around. The other 4, I think, they feel are good enough to keep around although I can see them wanting Danny out to since he may not be as marketable or as commercial as the others. |

I know anything is possible but...LOL. I dunno. Seems like a strange season this season. The talent is some of the best, but it's one of the most boring too. Or something. For me, anyway. |

I agree with you. There is just something this season that is strange. I really think the only one that has a spot in the top 2 is Adam unlike last year the last few weeks were pointless because we knew it was going to be David v. David. Kris has gotten my attention and I vote a lot for him so I can continue to see him. However, I don't know if I will find myself caring about him after the show. The others are okay, but there hasn't been that one that makes me want to see what they do after the show. There is good talent, but it isn't very exciting either. Can't put my finger on why it feels that way. |

Agreed. It's a good season with great talent. It's just not that exciting of a season. I don't necessarily think it's a lock for Adam to win, but who else REALLY could have the fan base to pull it out? I would say Kris but he reminds me of seasons pasts contestants like Melinda Doolittle or Vonzell or someone along those lines who really nail it each week yet they just don't have the votes to get into the finals. I'd say Allison, but she's been in the bottom three, what twice or three times now? That's not great. Matt's going this week, I'm sure of it. I think Allison follows and it's going to be a duel between Danny and Kris who makes it into the finals. I would love Danny to the be "final four elimination shocker" though. I think what is hurting this season for me is that it's REALLY predictable. Only surprise was Alexis going so early, other than that, I can't say none of us really couldn't have predicted who would go, and when and I never really could before. Last season sure was full of stunners (Michael Johns and Carly Smithson went WAY too soon). |

^^ That is funny about them being the odd couple. I would be a bit pissed too if I was sharing a room with someone that leaves their crap all over. But seriously (if this is all even true or not) they are in a mansion and now there are only 5 there. Tell me there is not enough bedrooms that these two could separate into different rooms. True or not, funny article. |

Micheal Johns was a stunner, for sure, but Carly wasn't. I mean, she was wildly inconsistent and she was in the bottom 3 several times. She was sort of like a better version of Lil. She had all the talent but made poor song choices and lost favor more and more with the judges. Then again, season 7 was pretty much the most blatant in terms of who they wanted to go to the finals. This year they haven't really thrown anyone under the bus yet. They did that to Lil but that was because she just kept repeating the same mistakes week after week. They pimped the hell out of her early on. I think Matt will be the first one this season to get thrown under the bus unfairly by the judge's this week. They won't even give him a chance this week. That is the one thing I will say about this season. They at least gave others a chance to shine. Last year, they had talent in Micheal, Carly, etc and they threw them both under the bus and the result was them leaving much earlier then they should've. The talent is definitely there this season but I think what has hurt the show is that the judge's and how the show is put together have overshadowed all the performances and talent. All the controversy with the judges, the show going over time, etc have been talked about more in some weeks then the performances. That isn't good. Plus, you have Simon and Paula being idiots at times right in front of the contestant while they are supposed to be judging. There is just too much BS. Randy has improved this year and Simon and Paula have been ok at times but the judging as a whole and the focus on singing and performances has gone down considerably. That has hurt more then anything else. I do think, to an extent, there is a sense that Adam will likely be the only one that comes out of this to really make it big because of what he brings to the table. This could very much end up being like seasons 4 and 6 where you had alot of talent but only one person is still remembered today (Carrie in season 4 and Jordin in season 6) and some of the rest may have brief or moderate success but it won't be lasting. Outside of Adam, the only person I think that can maybe have lasting success is Alison because of her voice and how identifiable she is, which is why she really should be in the finale with Matt. They are the most relevant, commercial, and most memorable but they really aren't doing enough to pimp her out and that is a shame. As for that Adam/Kris article, I always wondered about the two of them. I'm sure Gokey isn't in love with Adam either LOL. It's weird though because Adam always seem to come off humble, unlike Danny. That is the one thing I like about him. It's understandable that Kris misses his wife. She's there every week and they are basically newlyweds so I can see why that would upset him. I don't understand why with only 5 people left, they can't all just have their own rooms. They had 13 people in that house and I'm assuming your gone once you get cut so let them each have their own room. Hell, they can each have two rooms if they want LOL. This group seems close but I never really saw those two interact much. Come to think of it, Kris never seemed to mesh well with anyone in the top 13. In all the videos and clips we've seen, you hardly ever see him seemingly enjoying himself as much as the others so this really comes as no shock. Earlier in the top 13, I didn't like Kris because he seemed so dry and lifeless but his talent and originality got me on his bandwagon but, in all honesty, outside of his performances, he still shows little personality and comes off lifeless. I have to wonder now if maybe the show will try to get rid of him next after Matt. Then again, I've always gotten the sense that they may be trying to get rid of him. He has always gotten some shitty performance slots and it's seemed like he's gone second in the order an awful lot. Maybe they've been trying to get rid of him but his fanbase has been to strong. All I know is if Matt goes this week and they try to push Kris out and succeed (a la Jason Castro last year, despite Kris being far more talented), then I would feel very secure in Alison getting to the finals because I think the show will want her there for the reasons mentioned and I think they will want a girl in there since they had guy vs guy last year. Plus, I don't think they want Gokey to win because he just isn't commercial or marketable enough. Alison could pull a Katherine McPhee and sneak in. Katherine was in the bottom 3 a ton that year and no one gave her a chance in the top 3 between Elliot and Taylor but she made it in. I can see Alison doing the same thing. I just don't believe that Article at all. I think it's just Bull. I could be wrong but I don't think I am. I think some one just want's to add drama to Idol since there's no other drama yet. Like A big stocking someone going home earlier or like last year with David A father. |

Just saw a YouTube video with Daughtry. Their new album comes out this summer and they will be premiering their new single on AI in the next few weeks. They didn't give a date yet. Will post it if I find out more. |

Perez Hilton Fox Decides to Not Air Obama On Wednesday, President Barack Obama will address the nation with a 100-day news conference. For the event, Obama requested airtime from all the major networks. And while ABC, CBS, and NBC will broadcast the conference, Fox has declined. According to a statement from Fox, "The Fox Broadcasting Company will not air the Presidential News Conference on Wednesday, April 29 at 8:00 PM (ET). Fox's sister networks, Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network, will air the press conference in its entirety. Fox will be alerting viewers with an onscreen graphic at the top of the 8:00 PM (ET) hour that the press conference is available on Fox News Channel and the Fox Business Network." Such telecasts cost networks a bunch of money in advertising, and Fox scored excellent ratings in the desired time slot last week, so they don't seem to want to give it up this week. The fact that there's a live American Idol results show at 9 p.m. on Fox might also explain their decision. Just maybe. So far, "evening newscasts have covered Obama more than both Pres. George W. Bush and Bill Clinton during the first 50 days of their first terms — combined." |

Exclusive: Simon Cowell Answers Your Questions Who has surprised you the most this season? Kris. Better than I thought. Adam, we knew he was great and Danny, we knew he was great. But seven weeks ago, nobody would have predicted the possibility that the third place is Kris. He’s just quietly got on with the job. He didn’t get the praise he should have gotten last week because of the cockup with the timing. I would have really, really given him a confidence boost. Who has disappointed you the most? Lil Rounds. She was my girl. We always kept saying, look, whatever happens, we’ve always got Lil. We know we’ve got a great one. Who’s your all-time favorite contestant? Probably Kelly. But you know, she was the first one as well. Carrie I’ve gotten to like much more as I’ve gotten to know her. And in the UK, Leona Lewis. What’s been the best performance of all 8 seasons? I think “Mad World” was one of them. The one that wouldn’t be as popular with other people but I loved was Tamyra Gray singing “Fall in Love.” I don’t know why she hasn’t made it--I really, really liked her. Loved her as a person, loved her voice, and I always loved that performance. Do you check the message boards after the shows? No. I’m probably the only person, and I mean the only person, who’s connected with the show who doesn’t monitor themselves on an hourly basis. All the contestants do it. All the other judges do it, particularly the girls. You can read too much about yourself. It starts to become a bit unhealthy. You have to just assume that if you’re on TV, there’s certain people who’ll like you, and there’s a hell of a lot who’ll hate you. You just have to get used it. You’ll never, ever please everybody. Do you Twitter? I only found out about Twitter a few weeks ago. And of course the person who’s always on it is Ryan. Twitter is made for Ryan, where he can talk like a 15 year old. He knows the language, all the horrible abbreviations. And also have the ego to assume people are interested in what you’ve got to say. It is as strange to me as picking up the phone now and dialing a number randomly and saying, “Hi, what are you doing for dinner tonight? Because I’m having a cup of tea, are you interested?” It’s just too odd. What other TV shows do you watch? Nothing current. I can’t be bothered to watch dramas. The stuff I TiVo is so random, like The Flintstones, Dominick Dunne. I like movies probably more than anything else. But I can’t follow any of the reality shows any longer. The casting is so predictable, the soundbites are so predictable. It’s too safe. Everyone’s too aware of themselves. I tried to watch, God only knows why, this thing called Rock of Love. I mean this weirdo with all these girls. How can you take that seriously? They’re jumping into orange juice or something trying to date him. I can’t follow that. What’s on your iPod? Mainly classic stuff: Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Carly Simon. Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole. I love the old Mariah and Whitney stuff as well. Source: TV Guide ----------------------------------------------------------- I guess we know now who the Top 3 will be, LoL. |
