BLACK AND WHITE OPENINGS This is the very first title that ran when GH premiered on April 1, 1963. This title ran in 1963. This one aired from 1975-1976. |

Actually, the 1st color opening was in the late 1960s (1968, I think). After the show changed from the original Hospital-Goes-Negative opening, it had a simple plain screen with the traditional tital and no other visuals. When it went to color, the plain screen was colored blue. All of the videos of these openings/episode that exist have only been saved in b/w (except for rare instances when original master tapes *might* have been saved by people associated with the show, but they'd very EXTREMELY rare & not in public circulation). |
