90210 deserves to get its lowest numbers yet for last night. That episode was the worst yet, IMO!

Idol is down a bit, no?
I believe so. I think I read it's down 10% from last season's premiere.

I've watched the first two episodes so far and for the sake of the show, I really hope they find some better talent in the next six cities they visit, LoL. I can't tell you how many people they've sent to Hollywood just because they had a sob story (One guy was blind, another guy's wife just died, another girl lost everything in a tornado, another girl just cried and begged 'til they said yes) or because they wore skimpy clothes. I did get a kick out of the new judge calling a girl a bitch to her face though, LoL.

LoL, yes she sure did! It was great.

She was trying to demonstrate to this skank in a bikini how to add a little swagger to the song, and the girl insulted her singing. "Your version wasn't any better." That's when Kara stood up and said "Wait a minute, bitch!" then proceeded to show her how it's done, LoL.

I don't see how 90210 can survive past this season..Its doing so poorly in the ratings...As much as i would love a Melrose Place reunion, i don't think it would do any better..

The CW doesn't have too many options, really. Hell, the whole damn network is in danger of folding. They can't be too picky when it comes to ratings, LoL.

I don't even bother watching Idol until semifinals.

90210 could be alot better but they constantly make it The Annie Hour.

^ My face watching DAYS

Most of the daytime soaps have better ratings than those two CW shows...and they air in the DAYTIME when no one is supposedly home.

How they will remain on the air is beyond me at those anemic numbers!

I think 90210 will be renewed for one more season, and then be done.

Honestly, I think the entire network will be done after one more season.

No, no. They were both really good, but the sob stories are getting a little depressing! LoL

I know everyone thinks 90210 is going to get cancelled, but as Mason pointed out, the CW doesn't have many options. It's not going anywhere. And besides, the CW is probably nearing it's last legs anyway.

Tuesday's premiere saw a 10% slide in viewership from last season's opener. But, here's a pleasant surprise. For the first time in five seasons, the second episode has gone up in the ratings.

Wednesday's episode grew 1% in adults 18-49, which is big news considering that the second episodes of the seasons have been dropping in ratings, notably, since 2004.

Wednesday's show also retained 99% of its 2008 audience.

Mike Darnell of Fox said this morning, “The little changes we’re making are having a big impact. It's really amazing. To be up in the demo — that hasn’t happened in five years, and I was shocked that we ever did it before. And to be at 100% audience retention from last year in this environment for the biggest show on TV? That’s fantastic."
