Nice choice. Sydney was the name of Alice Horton's father.
Really? I didn't know that was his full name. I knew Alice's father was named Sid Grayson. Sidney must be his full name then.

This is going to be a repeat of the baby switch with Hope and Lexie. Eventually with truth will come out.
Yep... but after a long, LONG time!

Dreaming of a Melanie-free Days

I'm wondering if Philip and Stephanie will get the Danloe treatment, with the candle and the cheesy song and roaring fire, not to mention the abundant screen time. I'll be curious to see if this is the show's new standard for sex scenes or not.

I doubt it. The Danloe scene had a purpose because they had to show the passion between them is really unbearable. Phillip and Steph are a completely different kind of couple so I think the scene will be much more playfull and not so "pornish".

Of course, there will be also the Phillip/Melanie fantasy, establishing Melanie´s position as the obsessed thirdparty.

Unbearable . . . that's one way to describe the Danloe passion.

As for the Philip/Melanie fantasy, I'm not so sure that its purpose is to establish Melanie as the obsessed interloper, in that Philip had an erotic dream about her already. As much as I hate, loathe and despise it, I do feel the show is making some effort to show mutual sparks between Philip and Melanie, which Philip is characterizing right now as dislike but which will probably end up being passion. :puke: He already said he would "never" have sex with her, which usually means, "until next week."

I agree with you that was the initial idea but I really doubt they will go there anymore. Phillip´s dream had never any following and while there were some heated and obviously sexually charged scenes between them in November, he seems to be fully into Stephanie now.

Phillip/Steph making love while Mel imagines being on Steph´s place is a classic interloper setup and I think we will soon see Melanie go completely into Sami mode.

I think Melanie is going to play the obsessed interloper, but with help from Philip. It sounds like he's going to be "playing" Melanie to keep her and the fuel project at Titan. So, Melanie's going to think that Philip really is interested in her. The only question is whether Paxton is right that it will result in Philip actually developing feelings for her, or whether he's just going to pretend that he does and then there will be some soapy misunderstanding involving Stephanie.

That would be good...I wonder if they dream in rated-R or PG-13?

You know the good girls don't dream in R or X! Their romantic dreams are probably more like a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie. :D

I can't even watch this shit anymore. I watched John and Marlena's last day, and I will start watching again when Nicole starts getting what she deserves, a severe beating from Carmine, a lobotomy from Rolph, and then life in prison. So, I guess I won't be watching the show. I will just follow along here from time to time. Good Bye Dear Rolph. How is the construction going in the DiMera wing?I will miss you.Posted Image
I'll be back when this...

The chemistry I see between the two is a great friendship chemistry that they're going to step all over and ruin it by sleeping together. But that's just me. I see I'm in the minority, as usual. It's just too run of the mill for my tastes. I don't hate it like I hate mint chocolate chip but I don't love it like I love Death by Chocolate, either. It's more like plain old vanilla.
For what it's worth, I agree with you. It's a very generic and uninteresting love story, which I could live with if they had smoking hot chemistry, but they don't. To me, anyway. My husband summed it up for me when he was in the room with me when I was watching Philip put the brakes on, and he asked me who they were married to. I said nobody. So he asked who they were engaged to, and I said nobody. So, looking more confused, he said, well then, are they related? I said no. His final ditch effort was to ask if she was under 18, and I said no, so, exasperated, he said, well then, what's the problem? And that's how I feel about it. There's no reason for them not to be together, so I'm not interested that they're not, or that they are--it just doesn't make any difference. Not to mention that everything is about Melanie's reaction, not them.

Like you say, I don't hate them. I'm merely very, very, very bored by them.
Whoa, you're so right. The only time I find them remotely interesting is when Melanie's in the room. She has more sparks with Phil and Stephanie than they have with each other.

I don't see Phillip and Stephanie lasting. It's obvious that Melanie will end up getting to Phillip and ruining things with Stephanie.
I can only hope.
